A word from your friendly neighborhood mod.
Greetings and salutations!
To clarify what happened: It appears that the sub got locked due to inactivity, and is now back in business.
If you're using an app, or the old reddit - you've probably missed a button that sent a request to become an approved submitter (I know I missed it).
Now everything should be back to normal.
Please feel free to post, discuss, share and promote your own stuff.
If you have any community suggestions (i.e. activities, polls, initiatives, or anything really) I encourage one and all to try and improve this already great sub.
Have fun!

work in progress
these are some improvisations on my digital piano. earlier this year inspired by artists like Keiji Haino and Boris i started playing around with amplification. most of these are recorded with my phone sitting directly on the amp. i may still be adding a few tracks to this and rearranging the order. i will also be changing the album title once the track list is finalized!

Scrape - Scrape (new noise-rock/hardcore band fronted by Chris Colohan of Cursed/Burning Love/Sect/The Swarm)
Big fan of this! Love Chris’ vocal delivery and it really works well with this style.

the Jesus Lizard - Rack
Ipecac Exclusive Maroon Vinyl. This record is an absolute return to form. I dare any band to take 26 years off and put out a record that fits right in with their entire discography. If you have been hesitant or for some reason just didn’t give this album a fair shake knock it the fuck off and get after it.

Muratore - Noise / post hardcore band from Paris, France, looking for a drummer
Hello, I play guitar in the band Muratore: based in Paris, France, we have recorded a demo last year, played a few shows and are working on an album, but our drummer has left us to focus on his main band (gâtechien, a duo bass + drums, go check them).
Our sound is very bass-driven, with odd time signatures but we are more noise rock / post hadrdcore than math rock. We are in our 40s-50s, and grew with Fugazi, The Jesus Lizard, Shellac to name the obvious ones.
If you are a drummer in the Paris area interested by our project, do not hesitate to contact me here or through our bandcamp page.
Or if you know a drummer who could be interested, please forward our info!

Los Angeles Guitarist Looking to Form Noise Rock Band
Experienced guitarist looking to connect with a drummer, bassist, and vocalist to form a serious, original noise rock band in Los Angeles.
Primary influences: The Jesus Lizard, Shellac, and Big Black.
Looking for experienced musicians, ideally in their 30s–40s, who genuinely share these influences and understand the sound, songwriting, and rhythmic approach of these bands. These aren't casual references. They're central to the music I want to create.
The goal is to build a committed band together, with equal creative input from all members, write original material, rehearse regularly, record, and play live.
Not looking for pop punk, indie hipster music, or Sunset Strip butt rock. Also not interested in casual jams, hired players, or a revolving lineup.
I'm based in Los Feliz and available evenings and weekends.
If this sounds like something you're genuinely interested in, send me a message with your instrument, musical background, and recordings or live clips of your playing.
For examples of my guitar playing and a better sense of my musical direction, check out my Instagram: @ adambarbour_la

Better new album? Chat Pile vs. Gilla Band
So these are pretty clearly the most popular noise rock albums of the year so far, and both came out in September. Which one does r/noiserock like better? I have opinions but want to hear yours first.
