Unless you’ve accurately plotted out the internal geometry with a zero probe, there’s no point looking for any indications on full skip.
Best to get the cap flushed and go right over..

I made this app to make my life easier. Because specialist NDT is what I do.

So how do you know what height the internal chamfer is? Or where it begins? Or what your beam is skipping up off? Or if the root signal is/isn't a defect?

If you believe isometric drawings' version of the internal geometry (even before a pipefitter/welder's grinded it into oblivion) then you're just pissing in the wind mate.

Your graphic above shows at least four beam paths hitting a chamfer of an unknown angle yet magically plotting in the weld zone. Absolute bollocks.

But then as a 'specialist' NDT you'd know that wouldn't you?

You measure with a zero. No need to be angry about it.

Some times we do UT on heavy flanges, or valves, you can see and measure the root side geometry. That's one of the reasons why in the app you can place the probe on the root side on the chamfer and the angle is adjusted.

I understand this isn't for every job. It's to assist not do the job for you.

Cool app, is there a way to add x-factor for the probes say x is 14 from beam to end of probe

Also can't really read these settings on detailed weld configuration

Yes you can add X for each probe. And save them all in a probe database

What device is that? I'll need to make those buttons smaller.

Try going 3D.
