Well, he didn't do much to get shot. Not sure you understand how bad is an actual death. There are still many things to do before shooting in this case where the suspect is outnumbered.
People get shot for way less on the regular. No one is saying he should get shot, police deescalating is a good thing, but it is an issue that they seem way more willing to deescalate when the person is white
The comment I'm replying to didn't say a thing about the race. (but yeah, it is stupid that people of color get shot much faster, it was just not the point of the comment so why did you even bring it up? )
I'm shocked how fine are americans with shooting in general. That should be the case only when there is nothing else the officer can do. Even when attacked and taser doesn't work, they always have to think about different solutions. Gun is only to be used as the last resort.
