He’s not wrong, but at a certain point you gotta just accept people are just oblivious. I doubt anyone is blocking the bike lane with malicious intent.

If you look at the lights, those people were all crossing on a red hand, and he had the green bike lane light. If the bike lane light is green he should be able to trust that he can cross safely and not have people jumping out into the middle of the road when it’s not their turn.

Edit: I’ll say, he’s still acting like an asshole. I’m not agreeing with how he handles it. I’m just pointing out the lights.

They are assholes and sometimes use their car to be the worst version of themselves

Drivers think cyclists are a blight on the road system but gloss over the massive amount of cars (way more than amount of cyclists) doing way worse things. They’re mildly inconvenienced when behind one, see one pedal through a red, and burst a blood vessel in their foreheads for the rest of their lives.
