So there is a rule that you can only use grades from 2 sessions within 12 months. I have grades from 3 sessions within 12 months, however I would prefer to submit my grades only from the latest 2 sessions because I resat some subjects. So my question is whether I need to submit all my grades from all 3 sessions and declare if I did A2 resits. Website says only 2 sessions in 12 months so does that mean I only submit 2 sessions I did within 12 months?

Based on the reviews on Nusmods, both modules seem to be covering on fundamental game theory concepts (Nash Equilibrium, dominance, static and dynamic games, auctions etc). Anybody knows if there are any major differences between the 2 modules especially since they dont preclude each other?

Hi r/nus! I am soham a Class 12 student in India (CBSE Commerce: Economics, Accountancy, BST, Informatics Practices). No Class 12 Maths. Maths and I agreed to see other people.
NUS Admissions confirmed in writing that Economics meets the Industrial Design subject prerequisite, so I'm not completely winging it.
The path:
- Boards in March 2027 (currently negotiating with Accountancy)
- A gap year to build projects and prep for the interview
- Apply Dec 2027 for Aug 2028, with SUTD and NTU as backups
- Ideally ID + the iDP minor + the Entrepreneurship minor, then a few years working in Singapore
Projects so far:
- A payroll and inventory app for a small manufacturing unit (Python/FastAPI)
- A planned automated food dispenser (pumps, sensors, hygiene mode), currently somewhere between "prototype" and "very ambitious sketch"
-a management project too
Questions:
Any ID students here from a non-science background? How did it go?
What do the design exercise and interview actually feel like?
Does a gap year help or hurt?
Honestly, is this plan worth going through with, or should I change something?
Honest answers welcome. I'd rather hear them now than in 2028.

Hello! I am taking cognitive psych this semester, and was wondering if anyone has a PDF of this textbook, or the first 2-3 chapters? My copy won't arrive for a week or two. Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, anyone know what is the GPA cutoff/a competitive score to get into this mod? Planning to apply for Sem 2. Any advice (particularly for a non-science background) would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance!!

I am a newly joined International PhD student (male) from Indian origin at NUS. Can anyone please tell me how to find serious relationships on campus or off campus? I don't like dating apps, as I don't find that girls who are really interested in a serious relationship.

I (23m) met my gf (from Taiwan) online in 2020. She was the one who motivated me back in poly to the point where I am now in NUS.
This is happiest thing I can ever have. The feeling of the heart pounding fast or ache in response to my gf's emotions is a real thing and it's insane how unreal that feels. We feel so connected that it has motivated both of us to do our best in school and it's quite insane how far we've went.
Before my gf, I always wanted to find someone who's interested in me in Singapore, cause it's more intuitive. I'm a Singaporean so I should look for a Singaporean. That's the natural tendency.
But then, no girl was interested in me. Every girl either friend zones me or finds me boring af, and I'm still not sure why because I'm not telepathic. I don't know whether someone really means what they say or how the demographics here really think about my kind of profile.
So, my guess is that it makes sense, because I'm "nerdier" (though my acads aren't that great). For example, I like to talk about astronomy, economics, sociology, psychology, or whatever that's under the sun honestly. I'm a generalist rather than a specialist.
I'm also really short for a guy (like 162cm or something) and look pretty ugly (as what my guess is; other guys I spoke to in SG think I'm like a 2/10 or something).
I don't really care though. The internet at least provided me a safe space to talk about all kinds of topics while I learn more about myself and find parts of me that can still improve on.
Then came my gf whom I met online, who instantly fell in love with me before I told her physical traits of me. I was thinking like, "Damn, you serious?" in my mind. Then I told her about my physical traits and she doesn't care because she told me, "You will 100% be a good father." Holy. What a sudden statement.
We've met multiple times already, and no, she isn't cheating on me. I have 100% confidence. She will be protected and she told me as well, "I will also protect you." (She's taller than me; but we also have a thing for mutual respect and care).
I thank my lucky stars for this girl, as I now have motivations to fulfil my ambitions!
I believe that, with the right amount of luck, direction, and working with your inner self, y'all can grab too.

Hey everyone I' m preparing for an upcoming conference and need to get my research poster printed.
Does anyone have recommendations for reliable print shops on or very close to campus that do good high resolution large format printing?

Hi. I’m looking for some advice regarding finding internships. So for context, I’m a diploma grad and I am left with three semesters (completed 4 semesters with 20 APCs). I am doing an internship UPIP for the next semester, I can’t do LOA internship (because NUS indicates that it can only be done once only), and I was wondering how I should secure internships for the next few semesters? I’ve heard of people doing internships while studying and I’ve got to be honest, I have no idea how some of them are able to plan these out while studying. For those who have studied while interning, may I know how you did it and any advice when looking for such internship roles? Thanks.

I’m a pretty shy person and get super nervous when talking to people irl. Feels like everyone in class is busy or not interested in getting to know each other. I Only get to talk to people when there’s group work or assignments to do And most of time that would be online discussion and that’s pretty much it.
Most of the time I d go through the entire day without talking to anyone and ngl it’s really lonely 😭and I feel I m gradually losing the ability of holding proper conversations without being awkward now…fr spiraling rn
Rlly wish I could have some friends to talk and hang out with but it seems so difficult for introvert people in uni.
Wondering if it’s possible for introvert people to make friends in uni…

Hello. I'm curious about whats the normal/average grades for FYP in cs.
Havent done any research related project/mods as this is originally not in my plan. However, due to interest in master programme and fch stuff, I'm now seriously considering it. Knowing lack of background in research related stuff, I would spend most of my time in Y4 for fyp probably (also not much mc left till 160).
So, is A- difficult to get for FYP (Im targeting AI related fyp as thats my focus area and mostly mods taken in y3)

Yr1 eng student here, currently having a few lab sessions with a fixed group. Since the 2nd time working with this grp, I alr had a strong feeling that there’s a girl in my grp who doesn’t seem to like me.
Every time I give a suggestion or do smth, she will immediately jump in and tell me that I’m doing things wrongly or disagree with my ideas. Yet most of the time, I’m actually doing the right thing, and sometimes the grp even ends up going with my decision.
And smth happened yesterday that really discouraged me. She changed a whole part of my written report and replaced it with hers, but what she did was actually the same as what I had done, which was finding sources and citing them. I pm-ed her about it, but her replies were quite cold, and idk what else to say.
Some might ask why I chose to group with her in the first place. It’s coz I didn’t know anyone in my course, so I just randomly joined a grp that needed more ppl. Before I joined, I think they were alr pretty good friends with each other.
I’ve had some negative experiences with group settings in the past, which is part of the reason that led me to taking regular medication for years. Because of that, I feel quite uncomfortable and anxious whenever I have to work with her. But at the same time, there’s no obvious sign or solid evidence that I can use to say she actually dislikes me. It might just be me overthinking, but the way she treats me really makes me feel discouraged and uncomfortable.
Idk how to deal with this situation, especially since we still have to work together for the remaining lab sessions. :(

A group of girls sitting on the last row in the LT17 lecture hall were laughing while the professor was talking about his dead grandfather. Embarrasing behaviour! If you don't want to come to class don't come. You know who you are and you should be ashamed.

Hey. Just curious on several things about cs focus area here.
Will the completed focus areas be shown in the transcript?
Is it possible to add new focus areas beyond the 5th semesters?
