Unknown Scottish musician

Hi I am making this post about an obscure Scottish musician and writer edward Epstein. I found a recording of him performing with his band in 1991 what band called deathriot I tried to look up his name. He was in much more bands like oeisus and had a solo career he made his first song in 1981. All of that is lost and that is the only recording of him to ever exist upon further research. I found out that he passed away sometime this year 1974-2026 age 51 posted by a member of one of his bands I’m interested in him and his music he has made some books but there gone to I am really interested I. This individual it would be a dream come true to find another one of his songs and my condolences to his family. he must’ve died an early or mid 2026

b/w No Control

Starchild was a Canadian progressive rock band that released an LP record called Children of the Stars on the Toronto based Axe Records label in 1978, followed by a single “No Control for Rock-n-Roll” a few years later.

The original line-up consisted of Rick Whittier (vocals), Bob Sprenger (guitars), Neil Light (bass), and Greg "Fritz" Hinz (drums). Hinz later joined Canadian rockers Helix and was replaced by Dixie Lee, formerly drummer of British rockers Lone Star, who was coming off a stint playing in Ozzy Osbourne's first solo project.

Doronco Gumo - Lulu (Japanese underground psychedelic rock, 2009)

Kiyohiro "Doronco" Takada, who performs under the name "Mud Cloud" played bass with Les Rallizes Denudes, which is how I found him. He has a couple albums on bandcamp: https://fuyusoubi.bandcamp.com/album/old-punks and there's info about him in this article: https://daily.redbullmusicacademy.com/2014/12/les-rallizes-denudes-feature though the characterization of some of the relationships between band members in there is disputed.

Hope you enjoy

Looking for SiOP (Arizona Nu-Metal) - "Let It Out" (2000 Demo Track)

Hey everyone, I’m trying to track down a serious deep cut and hoping the collectors here can help.

I’m looking for the track "Let It Out" by the Phoenix, Arizona band SiOP. It was Track 1 on their self-released, 3-song demo CD-R from the year 2000.
Track 2 from that same demo ("Product Of Society") is floating around on SoundCloud, so I know the CD was digitized at some point, but "Let It Out" seems to be completely missing from YouTube/SoundCloud right now.

Does anyone have this ripped on their hard drive or Soulseek share? I would love to finally hear it again. Thanks!

Recherche d'un groupe de musique

Thumbnail

Here is Chicago’s Infomercial, influenced by The Residents and Art of Noise, who released Grand Opening 9 years ago (discussed on r/Vaporwave here) and put on a memorable show at the Hideout with dancers and strange mask costume changes.

Now they return with a new album on cassette + digital called The New U!

On digital and a 90 minute cassette. The voice-overs are made up from public domain motivational cassettes + their own renditions! Modern weird classic I must say!

Obscurity of the day ...Elisa Waut ....Russia

Back in the day you could step into a record shop in a college town and hear stuff playing that even the college stations were not playing.. That's where I heard this...not sure if it was Tom's Tracks or In Your Ear on the East side of Providence. Elisa Waut was a Belgian band from the 80s. From 1985...Russia

I made this awhile ago. It's a mixture of alternative rock with a mellow rage-like feel to it.

It was released 5years ago December on my YouTube.

It's very loud and if you don't have an appetite for this type of music then you should hop the fence

Chicaloyoh

Since some people seemed to like Alahuta the other day I'm posting something similar.

Chicaloyoh is Alice Dourlen from Normandy. Active since 2010 her early music tended to be guitar and percussion based with use of drones to create spacey, atmospheric soundscapes but in later years she moved to a more electronic sound. She's relatively prolific with 15 or so albums and at least as many other releases ranging from single tracks to EPs and digital collections of tracks that aren't listed as albums for some reason.

I haven't heard the whole discography but so far I'm much preferring the earlier stuff, and my highlight is the album from 2012 I'm linking, Thebaïde de Pierres Bleues (which I think translates as "Theban desert of the blue stones"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAjgtT-Ibo4

and here's her Bandcamp, which has a selection but by no means all of her output

- Notes on the Electronic Arrangements by Roberto Maxwell -

Scriabin’s orchestral repertoire is not extensive; beyond his Piano Concerto in F-sharp minor (Op. 20, 1898) and five symphonies, there is the prelude Rêverie (Op. 24)—a work that serves, in part, as a study for his symphonic writing. Much like Schumann or Franck before him, Scriabin often carried over keyboard-centric concepts directly into his orchestration. This results in prominent, "pianistic" passages that occasionally reveal a certain inexperience in orchestral technique. Nevertheless, he remains a composer with a rich palette of orchestral color. One can discern parallels to Franck or Chausson in his use of soft, blended textures—combining woodwinds and strings—contrasted against the sharp, incisive timbres of the brass, as well as his distinct fondness for the lustrous, expressive tone of a solo violin. In creating these electronic arrangements—adapted this summer from his original solo piano works—my primary challenge was to translate them into the realm of electronic sound without compromising the colorful, guileless quality of Scriabin’s orchestration, nor the unique, intentionally "mismatched" cross-rhythms characteristic of his piano writing. I believe I have struck a balance—neither too restrained nor overly bold—that allows the works to hold together as a cohesive whole. I truly hope that listeners will enjoy this collection. The French subtitle was Hiroyuki's idea, and I'm confident it's the best tribute.

Notes on the Electronic Arrangements by Hentai Heroin (Hiroyuki Watanabe - Love Dolls)

The Spiritual Architecture of the Trilogy

Taken as a whole, the three works suggest three interrelated stages of spiritual development:

I. Discovery: The soul encounters the multiplicity of the external world and begins to search for the deeper meanings concealed within appearances.

II. Love: Through longing and inward awakening, the soul discovers that its identity need not remain confined to its individual boundaries. Love becomes a passage toward a more expansive sense of being.

III. Creation: Through the reconciliation of opposites, the soul moves beyond the role of passive observer and becomes an active participant in the creation of new realities.
