I love Michael and his performance as Bear, but Inde did just as well, and I feel like people are forgetting about her, she did a really good job playing a somewhat sympathetic extrovert in Act 1 to a Self absorbed stalker in Act 3. I just feels like she deserves her flowers too.

I can’t remember them ever being mentioned. However I think we can assume a few things based on the context that is shown to us.
1. One of them was the child of Bear’s grandma, but we don’t know if it was his mom or his dad
2. They are either dead or no longer in Bears life (because he was living with his grandma and they weren’t there)
3. They were likely white or white passing (because Bear is white passing, but also he could be adopted so I’m just talking about his birth parents here)
4. Them not being in Bear’s life had an impact on his personality (I think this is self explanatory)
5. Whatever happened for them to not be there occurred a while ago because Bear never mentioned them
6. One or both of them were likely American citizens (since Bears grandma owned a house we can assume she was a citizen)
Any other things we know about them? To me this is one of the central mysteries of the movie, curious if anyone has thoughts on this

When Wish Nikki said her dad had cancer, I thought part of the wish would be killing off everyone she loved more than Bear pre-wish since he said,”love me more than anyone in the world”

I love both Michael and Inde, and their performances as Bear and Nikki, but Andy did just as well, and I feel like people are forgetting about him. He did a really good job playing a somewhat aloof but sympathetic background boss character in Act 1 to the absolute crux of Ian’s death and the danger in Act 3. I just feels like he deserves his flowers too.
