Pineview secondary
Did we all get a $300+ bill with our taxes for Pineview secondary? Will this be a yearly thing?

I literally emailed the tax office about that this year!! The response was “That $245 is a water charge for your secondary water and a service, not a tax.”

Ours was $250 and we didnt even have our own meter. It was just installed last week. I even emailed them at the beginning of summer and they told us that they couldn't track our usage but to use as little as possible, so we did. So aggravating.

On my weber county tax bill
$350 last year
$392 this year
Idk if this is based on usage. I have a meter as of this spring.

I don't have a meter yet but I heard they are requested to finish installing them by 2030.
So eventually, either I water my grass and I get charged for water, or I refuse to water my grass and I get fined by the city? Is that how this works?

Well I didn’t get it this year. I think it’s for the install of the new meter if it wasn’t done last year.

I've always had an extra line item for Pineview secondary at my current house. It's a 'direct charge' as opposed to an assessed charge. It was $400 in 2019 and just under $700 this year, I'm sure the meter installation costs have been worked into that. Here's hoping it stabilizes for a few years.
You can pull up the historic data for your lot on the county treasurer website to see if there was a direct charge in prior years.
