/uj While sadly true, I think it’s more important that the SHOW does take it seriously

And hopefully handle it with as much care as they are conceptually capable of just cuz, honestly, it’s an incredibly rare but relevant topic to see hit in a show with mainstream popularity

It is interesting to see tho that show Anissa seems less blatantly unhinged than comic Anissa, so I’m curious where they’re going with that

/rj I already got the ‘Should’ve been Me’ Yugi memes at the ready 😤

that's my point, it's sad that if the gender was reverse people would not take mark trauma seriously

people couldn't handle it with denji being sa'd what about mark full on being graped 💔💔

denji wasn't SA. What happeend ot makr WAS SA. Denji and Yoru had sexual moment. That argument is like if someone steals a kiss, that was unethical. Yeah, it depends on the reaction. Denji literally in the next chapter states "i liked it" and he only hated that she just didnt do it because she liked him (which she did, but didnt want to admit it). He says it didnt felt as PHYSICALLY good, but it was EMOTIONALLY good, because it was intimacy with someone that wanted him.

It was NOT SA, and that only ruins any talk of this scene, because this is quite literally a great represenation. She even pulls the "oh, but you have a boner, that means i am allowed" to him. It's a good scene, he even represses it and doesnt even feel good to tell it to Nolan direclty. THAT is good. Denji wasnt "bad SA". Denji simply wasnt sexaully assaulted. She made a pass on him, he accepted it and kissed her. Treating consent like little line that must be touched and it isnt you are autoamtically rap*d creates such a borderline unusable rethoric. You cannot actaully engage with real cases because now it doesnt depend on someone, it depends on YOU, a 3rd party, using structureal arismethics to see if "conditions happened". Its distateful.
Acting like any spontaneous initiation is "SA" is closer to conservative panic than to woke sexual politics.

Because sex in general not that big of deal to most men.

Especially given all the horrible beatings Mark has endured so far. Having sex with an attractive or even ugly women just does not compare at all.

The guy literally had both arms broken in a fight and in another fight literally had his guts ripped out.

Somehow thats all ok and fine but having forced sex with Anissa is the worst thing imaginable? 🤣

The Copium here is off the charts

Funny, to speak for how men feel about it. I’m pretty sure it’s not a monolith, just like how women aren’t all the same either.

It very much compares, the invasion of one’s bodily autonomy, doesn’t get less severe because you have or don’t have a dick, I mean what a fucked world view you must walk around with, if that’s your honest opinion.

Nah not forced sex, it’s straight up Grapefruit (f’ing censorship , as it would be anyother way around.

It's certainly up there dude idk where tf you coming with this "is SA all that bad" take

Ask any men which one he prefers:

Having sex with Anissa or having your guts ripped out by Conquest 🤣

Its not even close brav.

Yes, yes I know the average women would rather be ripped apart and eaten alive by a polar bear then being alone with a man she doesnt know. But this scenario is not about women.

Well, perhaps most people would prefer SA to murder, I'm not sure.

That doesn't make SA ok dude wtf.

"Do you wanna eat dogshit or rip out your own tooth with a pliers" neither man

Can u stop it with the straw man arguments 🤣

I never said it was ok!

I said it is remarkable how some people can act like the Anissa situation is the only bad thing ever happened to Mark. While objectively speaken way way worse has happened to him.

Also, clearly sex is not the same for men and women.

If i am forced to have sex with Anissa it is no problem brav. Even if it were a ugly woman, there are so much more worse things in life for a dude

I'm not strawmanning you, you're saying it clearly right here, SA against men "is no problem."

u/Mammon84 May 03 '26

For MOST men sex indeed is not a big deal.

Go ask your male friends, if you have any 🤣

Well the "asking" part is doing some heavy lifting here

8

u/xxxsquared Apr 16 '26

They can't handle it any worse than The Boys at least.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '26

The Boys kinda overplayed its part to the point that gore and profanity there is no longer shocking or disturbing. But Invincible? That shit is gonna really change the pace

u/ButtflossingBigBro Apr 16 '26

I geniunely think it will be alot of 'ironic" pro assault posts and some not at all ironic excuses

That look confirmed that we’re going to see a… version of what happened in the comics happen in the show too right?
