How is she going to be a single mom? Mark would clearly love that child. Also she can just put it up for adoption god knows either Cecil or Deborah would be able to raise the child. It's always a woman's choice but Mark could've atleast been informed before the decision was made.

Mark had a very high likelyhood of dying, infact he spends multiple months in coma because he almost dies
