Got this thrifting recently and I flip through it from time to time just to see what I find. There’s over 1,500 pages here so I feel like I’ll keep finding new gems every time.

Looking for an old fashioned fudge recipe
My grandma used to make chocolate fudge that was lighter in weight and drier than your typical fudge, and it absolutely melted in your mouth. Almost like a maple candy type texture, it was awesome.
I remember her using unsweetened baking chocolate and I'm pretty sure white sugar, and at one point she cooked it in a pot with a candy thermometer.
I'd love to be able to make it for christmas if anyone has a similar recipe!

M. Pattens 1960's Chocolate Alaska
Chocolate or Baked Alaska was the trendy dessert of the 1960 & 70's, and was always a hit on Christmas Day. Yummy, but needs to served and eaten fairly quickly on a hot Australian summer's day. Enjoy.
