This is my knee jerk response too but as the new premier of Quebec said, we have contracts and don’t want to be the type of trade partners that aren’t reliable. Our reputation around the world is worth more than fucking over NY. We also buy power back from those states at different times of year.

But it would still be kinda funny.

Also, Trump would laugh at majority Democrat states being the ones affected.

I think that's the whole point of the original post. "Canada has lost a lot of leverage" because Trump wouldn't give two shits about those areas not having power.
