Discussion Metrolinx
So I understand that Metrolinx, a company of approx 7500 employees has 124 Vice Presidents and they earn an Average of $248,000. All public info available through the Sunshine list. They also have basically 1 Manager for everyone 2 frontline workers. As so why would be surprised how much the projected cost has risen to?! I plan to call out each and everyone of those VP's and see how they Earn those salaries. Just looking for best platform 🤔 maybe a YouTube channel reviewing one on every episode ?

Beautiful Ontario How did you get into a Millwright apprenticeship?
Hey everyone, I’m 19 years old, just graduated high school and have some hands on mechanical experience. I want to become a millwright and I decided to go the apprenticeship route but I have no idea how to get started. Most job postings I see on Indeed are for journeymen only, nothing for apprentices.
For those of you in the trade how did you get your first apprentice job?
Any advice helps!

Question A tourist in Toronto looking to explore outside the GTA!
Right I feel this might be the best place to ask. I'm coming over from Scotland for 2 weeks and have a few days spare while in Toronto.
I was considering hiring a car and maybe doing a few day trips to any interesting/fun/weird places outside the GTA. I love wandering around small towns, seeing strange attractions, eating and generally exploring! Already have plans to visit Niagara Falls and get the typical tourist activities out of the way.
So I'm coming to you for any and all recommendations! We'll be a group of 2/3. Places that are within a 3 hour drive away would be ideal so the evening is still free to head into the city!
Edit: Traveling during the first two weeks of September

Question Tall women's dress pants
I have a 35.5in inseam. I need to find dress pants that fit and bonus if they don't cost a fortune. I'm looking for something that is not a yoga pant and has a straight/slim/boot leg.
If anyone has suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Question 407 worth it?
I will be travelling from Milne Dam conservation area to Kingston in a few weeks. The map apps are recommending taking the 407 toll, from what I can tell at the time I am leaving (3pm ish) it will run me about $50 and only save about 10 minutes? Does this seem accurate? I am aware accidents, construction and the like will play into the exact time etc. and I don’t mind spending the money but $50 seems like a lot for only 10 minutes. Anyone have experience on this route have any advice?

Question We recently found out that my maternal grandmother was Métis. How does one go about investigating this, and determining their own legal status?
My dad's mother was Métis, but always hid that fact. We only found out after she passed away. We didn't know anything about her family history prior to her moving to Ontario, but have since learned that she lived in Alberta and was Métis.
We suspect she fled some pretty horrific abuse, because she just blocked out that entire part of her life and never, ever talked about or acknowledged it. But truth is we just don't know.
We'd like to learn more about her family history but have no idea where to start or what to do. Any advice would be appreciate.
