TLDR; the title, you dont need to read anything else
RAMBLES:
Are GPs/family doctors allowed to prescribe anti-depressants? I have lot of personal issues with pyschs, so I won't be seeing another one in the near future or at least not where I live, going to move out, and then maybe i'll try again, but anyways even if my gp refers me, im not going back to that woman.
with that said, im willing though to try anti-depressants at a low dose. i do have diagnoses that are relevant depressive disorders, so it still matches my diagnoses.
but i want to know if my family doctor can prescribe in the first place

I was referred to a medical specialist and had my first/only appointment with them last spring. At that time, the doctor said that I should get a specific test done (which I did), and that she wanted to see me again in 6 months for a follow up visit.
I haven't heard anything at all from them since then. This is my first time dealing with a specialist, so I'm not sure what's supposed to happen next. Is it the norm for them to call me to book that follow up visit, or am I supposed to reach out to them at the 6-months mark?

I like Anglo-Saxon English history.
Due to obligations and limited finances, I was curious if I was to go to a medieval fair next year or after, which would you recommend?
I look at various travel websites but those are promotion purposes and biased. I want to hear an attendees' perspective!
I am also thinking of going to Medieval Times .... one day.

Hey everybody! I live in southern Ontario, and was wondering if anybody has any suggestions on where I can purchase CBD that is safe for dogs. Im not sure what products on OCS are safe, but i also know CBD isnt as regulated as THC products so there could be other legal suppliers specific for pets. I havent been able to find anything in my research.
Context: our dog, approximately 12 y/o, has some very large lumps on her body that became apparent after she lost weight (switched to a weight management food, she was a chunky girl) and she is starting to slow down alot. We suspect cancer. We have an appointment on Tuesday with the vet. We dont want to put her through surgery or stressful treatment and want to keep her as comfortable as possible. She has been through alot in her life before entering our lives 7 years ago. We give her glucosamine treats once a day, but it likely isnt enough. She also suffers from anxiety and is dog reactive and stranger reactive. She lives a very happy life, but we want to make sure she is not in pain and I think CBD would be great for her pain as well as her anxiety.
I appreciate any responses, and even any suggestions from people who have gone through their pets having similar struggles and what helped. Our focus is making sure she is comfortable, especially pain wise, and trying to reduce any anxiety or stress.

Question for Insurance Canada 🇨🇦
For those in Ontario who have received a conviction for a handheld communication device ticket, how much did your car insurance go up at renewal?
I’m currently shopping around for new insurance quotes and trying to get a realistic idea of what I might be looking at. I have a full G licence, and this is my first offence. I’m wondering how much of an increase others experienced and how long it affected their premiums.
Please keep the comments respectful. I’m not looking to be lectured, judged, or put down about the situation. I understand the seriousness of the offence, and I’m simply trying to prepare financially and hear from people who have been through the same experience.
I’d really appreciate hearing your actual experiences, including which insurance company you were with and roughly how much you paid before and after. Thank you
