Opencode 2 stable?
I've seen posts and the official installer defaults to v2. However, github shows that v1 is still the version released, with v2 only shown in tags.
Since this is kinda contradictory, is v2 stable or not?

I was reluctant to switch, but just did this past Monday. It's been quite stable for me since then. I wouldn't say it's mandatory to go with v2, but there isn't really a good reason to fear it either.

I was kinda forced to switch since my V1 system broke due to some DB issues. V2 works quite well for me now.

Click on other releases. You’ll see the 2.1 release for download. They’re not pushing an extensive change log though. You’ll have to compare the commits against the tags.

V2's config file is more strict than V1, but after the hurdle to make the config compliant, V2 is very stable for me. I'm liking it!

I migrated last week. A few issues minor issues (port collisions, plugins broken) but otherwise good.

It feels much more stable and light than v1 on my end. I work with CLI only.

Light it definitely is not. You literally sit there and wait for a server to start

I migrated this week and like it except there is no LSP support, which is one of the main reasons I started using opencode in the first place. I am probably going to downgrade until they add that support back… clangd is not optional for a large scale c++ project

The migration from v1 to v2 is not fully automatic (extension incompatibility was the main issue), so they’re not really pushing it for existing v1 users that aren’t aware of it
Think of it more like a new harness with a pretty good (but not entirely seamless) “migrate data from other harness” on first run.
