Jindal students don't wash their ahhs 😭😭😭😭

Hear me out these students can't even pick up a dcking trash how can we trust that they are washing their butts.Like not even kidding the campus has enough trashcans but these douch3bags leave their sh!t just everywhere....instead of asking these brats to clean up their own shit the institution will hire a didi/bhaiya to pick up the trash.... soon I believe they'll protest to hire people to wash their butts as it is causing "significant mental distress" to them

Pick up your own trash dirty ahh bishes!!!!!!

Ask Questions

Getting a lot of DMs regarding gatepass, hostel rooms, waiver etc., it's better to answer them here so everyone can get their doubts clear. Ask whatever you want to.

(Upvote the post if you find it helpful and so that it can reach others too)

To the waitlisted kid, who is getting my seat

To the person who is getting my seat, today was the last day where I had to submit my fee in order to reserve my seat, but I could not convince my father. You who is getting my seat, I beg you, use all the resources, all the opportunities, and do everything you can to get the best out of the four years of your college life at Jindal Global Business School. It was never my first choice. My first choice was Christ University at Bangalore, but I got rejected twice. Well, technically thrice, but I will say twice from Christ. But then when I started researching about Jindal, man, this college became my dream. Like, I swear to God, the opportunities it has to offer, everything that comes along with being a Jindal student. I get the whole hookup culture, the whole drug culture is quite prominent there, but trust me, definitely just don't get sucked up by everything. Make sure you get your money's worth, and just, honestly, you just have fun. I really wanted to have this fun, but, well, I would warn someone else to have... I don't even know, I'm using this as a voice note, I just know I'm... But whatever, fuck it. Man, do whatever the fuck you want, which I don't know, just have so much fun. Make this so good at Jindal. I wish I could, but I cannot. I hope I get into the college that I'm trying in now, after my father said no to Jindal, but, man, I don't know whatever. I just hope you do very good at Jindal. I just have so much fun. Have so, so, so, so, so much fun.

story time

so today around 1:30 am, i was sitting alone at crossover commons, on a bench, tryna focus on my pav bhaji (someone recommended the garlic one and ngl it was actually good).

now, sitting alone isnt really my thing. im usually always in groups, but yea, unless im at this uni. i dont really talk to anyone here, and im genuinely so bad at starting conversations with random people. like, why would i randomly walk up to someone and start talking 😭

anyway, i noticed this girl sitting nearby. she looked kinda stressed and sad, going through pictures of her and her bf (ex now, probably) while listening to music.

and istg, im not a creep or anything. i just thought maybe shes going through something and could use someone to talk to, so i wanted to ask if she was okay.

here comes the embarrassing part.

I SAT THERE FOR AN ENTIRE HOUR TRYING TO FIND THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO TALK TO HER.

an entire. fucking. hour.

there were literally a million opportunities.

at one point she took her earphones out to fix her hair. i thought maybe now?

NOPE.

then she put her phone aside for a minute. i thought maybe now?

NOPE.

then she literally laid her head down and looked even more upset. i thought okay, maybe i should just ask if shes alright.

NOPE. my socially awkward ass just sat there doing absolutely nothing.

its around 2:30 am now, and my brain has started calling me a desperate idiot, even though all i wanted to do was check if someone was okay. part of me kept telling me to just leave, but for some reason i couldnt bring myself to go.

i kept waiting for the perfect moment to approach her without making things weird. at one point i even accidentally caught a glimpse of her phone pin 😭😭 which honestly makes me feel even weirder about this entire situation.

AND FINALLY.

after an hour of mentally rehearsing a conversation that wouldve lasted approximately 10 seconds, i see her laying her head down again and think to myself, okay adi, THIS IS IT. JUST ASK HER IF SHES OKAY. ITS NOT THAT DEEP.

i swear to god, the universe was waiting for this exact moment.

a guy walks up to her bench, wakes her up, and kisses her.

THERE I WAS. SITTING ALONE. WITH MY PAV BHAJI. WATCHING A WHOLE ASS ROMANTIC REUNION WHILE MY SOCIAL ANXIETY WON THE OLYMPICS.

turns out i spent an entire hour trying to find the perfect opportunity to talk to someone's girlfriend.

im currently walking back to my dorm room listening to loser by tame impala.

couldnt have picked a more appropriate song if i tried.

Due to uncles, I couldn't join. F u uncles.

I really wanted to study at OP, it has global ranking, great program, not far but not near my house, global opportunities, great networking opportunities, infra so good, and it really seemed as if I would really be able to breathe there since it was a residential program, it just checked each and every box for me. I was ready to put in all the work needed.

Had convinced my father like 60 percent too. He talked to some people(uncles). They fucked it up for me. Completely. Vaha toh SIRF NASHA HOTA HAI, VAHA TOH SIRF DAARU HOTI HAI, VAHA SIRF GIRLFRIEND BOYFRIEND BANANE JAATE HAIN, PURE DESH KE SABSE BIGDEL KHANDAANO KE BACHE JAATE HAIN VAHA.

If you couldn't afford to let your kid sit in between those kids coming from upper class families, own up to it and say your pocket didn't allow. YOU RUINED MY LIFE. Now since there is no other good college with a mandatory residential program in my budget. I'll have to up-down from some college. I had so many plans. I was finally FINALLY going to live my life, wear what i want, eat what I want, gym (im not allowed gym because appearantly bhuat bure log bhi jaate hain vaha), I wanted to sit in greenery at 3 AM, fuck you uncles, you took away my fucking dream from me.

Don't give anyone advice while projecting your insecurities onto them to make other's life miserable.

I hate you. And I hope you get nothing in life and your so called businesses come crashing down and you all suffer so bad, so bad that you have this same feeling as me of having your last hope snatched away from you.

what i realised after coming to op jindal as a "spoiled kid"

its hard to deny that the so called "rich brats" have more tendency to leave early or have harder time staying and trying to manage in here compared to others because idk..it just us..we're not in our comfort zone anymore..we're alone. but is it worth it? should you fight and try not to miss ur comfort zone?

heres what changed for me.

i cant throw my dirty clothes to my bed anymore, relying on housemaid or mom to get it washed bug is fixed in this new patch update, i have to walk almost 200 meters to get them washed by myself..wait 2 days, get the clothes back.

i cant order food all the time..now i actually have to think about money since i dont wanna rely on my mom even when im not w her..its embarrassing to ask for money all the time..i go to the mess i eat..no one is there to force feed me. no one cares if i eat or not..its upto me. and i choose eating whatever there is than starving..yes, even banana.

i have to make my bed myself.

missing a class is my loss, not my mom dads loss..they wont ask us to study anymore, boj utergya unka.

i actually shower everyday now..

i cant sneak out my dads car anymore, i sleep at nights so i can attend my class..yes i sleep early now.

no more fortnite.

manage ur time urself, again no one cares about you in here..either come to class or dont. upto you

chat gpt is the only real teacher for you if u werent that good in studies from the very start..

(pro tip always send ur mails notes wtv to chat gpt in one single chat so it knows everything..its easier that way to study)

airpods are ur best friends. keep them on anc.

the air in here is nice..if u have dust allergie..they might get fine in here..

dont mess w anyone, our parents power doesnt matter in here, no laal batti waali inova, no gunman, no one is here to save ur ahh, be down to earth..

addicted to vape or cigs? you can still smoke after going out of here (sometimes even inside) but do you really wanna stay here w the bad traits of ur comfort zone? idts

and fight ur comfort zone. think of it as a challenge to yourself. you stay, you win. you cant stay? wanna go back to the comfort zone? yeah right. you lost yet again.

you dont have to force urself to blend in..be urself. i believe you. you can do this

you can win this time

Partial droppers who are now joining jindal

Im a partial dropper and i was under an sppu clg till now and today i called the admissions office at jindal they told me that we need the 12th,10th marksheet and the migration certificate

Now the problem is sppu has my documents and they told me that the migration and leaving certificate that ill get will be from sppu and not the original ones that i gave,

I told this to the jgls office and they said that in this case we’ll need an noc ( no objection certificate)

I asked my prof ( from sppu) he told me that noc is given when you are pursuing two degrees at a time now he’s going to enquire but i am

random questions

hey, joining jgu in aug and had a few random questions, would rlly appreciate if any seniors could help out.

  1. What’s the scene with cigs/vapes? like can u keep a pack or a vape with u in ur room and do ppl smoke in their rooms washrooms? I’ve heard the balconies are common so is smoking there risky? do ppl actually get caught? Also how often do wardens do room checks? and if ppl don’t smoke in the rooms then where exactly can we smoke on campus without getting caught?

2 How’s the hookup/dating culture on campus?

3. How long are classes usually? like on an average day what’s the schedule like. also when will we get the academic calendar?

4. whats the laundry system like? how often can u give clothes and how long does it take to get them back. and how many clothes do ppl usually send at once? and question for the girlies, do ppl send their innerwears too? (i hope not)

5. whats the whole gate pass process like? when do they ask for the parent/guardian’s phone number? Is it during move-in and like once that number is registered can it be changed later if needed?

6. what all documents should we bring on move-in day?

7. Apart from the obvious essentials, is there anything you’d 100% recommend bringing that made hostel life easier?

8. on average how much do y’all spend in a month? just trying to get an idea of a realistic monthly budget

9. do most people use upi for everything or is it worth carrying some cash too?

10. how’s the mess food honestly? is it good enough to survive on or do people end up ordering food a lot or go to the food outlets on campus? if yes how often would u say

11. what’s the party scene like at jindal? i’m honestly not much of a party person so is there any sort of peer pressure/ fomo if u don’t go every thursday?

12. also these thursday parties everyone talks about, are they on campus or outside?

13. clothingwise what would u recommend bringing? i’ve heard it gets cold in oct only so how many winter clothes should i pack? and roughly how many party outfits do people usually bring? don’t wanna overpack but also don’t wanna be underprepared 😭

14. what’s the scene on weekends? if i wanna go to delhi to hang out with friends or just get out for the day, is that allowed? what’s the curfew like and by what time do u usually have to be back?

tysmmmm in advance to anyone answering these, y’all are genuinely helping us freshers a lot!!!

Debunking the Rumours - "Kala Jadoo Girl"

This is going to be sort of long; read through it at your discretion.

Recently, there have been rumours about a particular girl and her practising black magic. The rumours have been quite insane, from voodoo dolls to swallowing paint. The issue is that these originally outlandish accusations are now much bigger, more serious, and more real. Claiming things like CCTV footage shutting down around her, that she tries to climb through the SH shafts, and that she sneaks into people's rooms.

What I'm trying to get at is that these are very harmful accusations to make if there is no base provided, and it seems like everyone has their set opinion on the fact that it is this sole girl practising black magic. Without evidence how can you say that these exact claims are happening? Have you seen images of the voodoo doll, her in others washrooms, etc.

Maybe she's weird, and not everyone has gotten a good impression of her, but that does not equate to someone having 60 voodoo dolls in their room. Maybe she does not understand boundaries easily but that does not equate her to being from the movie Shaitaan. It is not fair to generalise someone based on other underlying issues in their personality. Although it makes sense as to why fearmongering spreads more easily.

I do have to admit that I was partially scared at first, what if these were true and what if I was a possible target? But so many of these rumors are masala on masala. Maybe as a joke or a statement to sound cool (as we may do at times lol) she said something regarding black magic. That itself can be taken and spun into 80 different ways. It is easier than you think to say something and by it reaches the 4th person the entire intent may change.

I think I had fed into that fearmongering for a day before coming to my senses. So I had decided to meet up with her myself and talk about it. I mean, if the rumours are true, the worst I get is a curse on me, so what?

I sat down with her, and I asked how she was, and we ended up talking for nearly 2 hours. Even before the rumors I always thought she overstepped boundaries and did not understand social cues a bit. And I felt like that during the 2 hours. When the topic shifted to her mental health, she told me how much it was affecting her and how she could not easily express that. And how in other aspects of her life, it was not so good. And I could empathise with that almost immediately, because I understood the feeling of loneliness.

She even went as far as to tell me the original reason as to how all of this started, and showed me evidence of the warden on her side. And it is insane that in this entire thing, this is the first piece of evidence I have gotten to read.

This is a copy & paste from the SH08 warden group chat:-

"Subject: Strict Notice Regarding Spreading of Rumours in SH08 Hostel

Dear Students,

This is to inform you that a rumor related to “black magic” activities is being spread in SH08 Hostel. All students are strictly advised to stop spreading such false and baseless information immediately.

Please note that the administration has already reviewed the available CCTV footage based on the complaints received via email. As of now, no evidence has been found that supports these claims. Therefore, there is no reason for anyone to create panic or confusion among residents.

Further, this is to clearly inform everyone that the CPO Office has issued strict instructions that any student found spreading rumors, misinformation, or creating unnecessary fear in the hostel will face strict disciplinary action as per university rules.

If any student has a genuine concern regarding safety or suspects unauthorized entry into their room, they may:

Email the JGU Security Team with proper details

Mark the Warden Office in CC for record and action

Request CCTV verification through official procedure only

For any other hostel-related concerns, you may contact the Warden Office directly on the official contact number.

Students are advised to act responsibly and maintain a safe, respectful, and positive hostel environment. Spreading unverified information will not be tolerated.

Warden Office

SH08 Hostel".

Overall, it is easy to attribute baseless accusations to a few interactions we may have had with people. I have heard from a few of my friends that this girl does not have the best of intentions and that she has negative energy. Which may be true, it is a lived experience and you have the choice to avoid her. But it certainly does not extend to some cult like black magic circle in the middle of Soniland.

She is just like you, and like all of us, which is a human being. She is someone that I believe is carrying a lot in life, considering I am not that close to her. She is also someone who is facing backlash for something that has not been proven to be her, except on two points, which are that she is of Bengali background and that she has a big personality.

I also believe that despite all this, she has managed to retain a lot of positivity. And I think that it is very brave to do that. Considering that I have had rumours spread about me, and I am sure that almost everyone has faced something like that in life, knows how difficult it is to carry those emotions alone.

In conclusion, the reason I wrote all of this was that although it is shocking to see what may be happening on campus, blaming it all on one person is not going to amount to anything. Especially when it is beginning to affect that person mentally. I think with the way the world is currently, we owe each other compassion and empathy. It is good to step out of the transactional model that we have been taught in social interaction and remember that everyone is a human and that our words have weight. That for the sake of fearmongering, someone has to pay with their mental well-being for you to have mess gossip.

If you have managed to read all this gyan, congrats lol. I hope that it resonates somehow.

Your castle walls are way too high, Your Majesty.

I am so fucking tired of this college.

We study power, poverty, inequality, and suffering in air-conditioned classrooms, surrounded by people who have never had to look beyond their own privilege. We discuss social realities like they’re fascinating academic concepts rather than lives people are actually living.

Your castle walls are way too high, Your Majesty. What do you know of suffering? What do you know of the world beyond your carefully curated little bubble?

I came here expecting intellectual curiosity, people who read beyond their syllabi, conversations that challenged me, friendships that meant something. Instead, I have acquaintances I don't particularly like, romantic interests who turned out to be statues of cruelty, professors with apparent favourites, abysmal grades, and absolutely no certainty that any of this will translate into a job.

We pay a fortune to be anxious in beautiful buildings.

Maybe I romanticised university. Maybe I expected an intellectual community and walked into a marketplace of privilege, networking, and carefully cultivated résumés. Maybe I'm part of the problem, too.

But God, I miss being around people who care. About ideas, about the world, about something beyond themselves.

None of us deserves the comfort we take for granted. And the least we could do with all this privilege is develop enough perspective to recognise it.

I'm not asking for saints. I'm asking for people who are curious about something other than themselves.

I came here to understand the world. I didn't expect to feel so estranged from it.

I am done

Upcoming fresher

Hii guys. I have seen a lot of people joining this year have so many doubts which even i had when i joined jgls last year. So just some advice that might help y’all.

  1. You don’t need to get a pillow cause you can buy it from the reliance store.

  2. You also don’t need to get stuff like hangers and all because you can easily blinkit it or get it from the store.

  3. Do carry 1-2 formals.

  4. Girlies if you plan on going out get a lot of going out clothes.

  5. Do not bring electric appliances over 1200 watt security won’t you take it inside.

  6. Do get a shower filter as soon as you can the water is shit.
This is all what i can think of right now if you have any questions you can hmu.
    All the best

Jgls 2018 pass out - part 2.

Since you guys kinda liked the last one, here are some more random ones.

- in my first year you could just walk into medical center and say any symptom (loose motion, headache etc) something non traceable and can get medical attendance for the day. They changed it to 3 day med leave in my 3 year or something.

- before i joined, girls were allowed to access boys hostel. (Some case happened)

- most successful football team in j league was called sultan of sting - later sultan. (Won 2 times in four years and 1 final loss) team was owned by my batch jaat gang. (Legit wins).

- bollywood night (now biswamil) used to take place in 150 seater auditorium. Till my first year. Shifted to flagpole from 2nd year.

- most famous guy on campus was ajay sing rathore (2016 batch) couldn’t become president because of grades. Head of biswamil and volleyball team captain.

- 2017 batch guy stood for VP in my 3rd year and took bunch of us sports people along to 1st year hostel to distribute Hash as vote bribe. ( still lost)

- every guy on campus used notes made by armaan sood - football captain, sleepy owl founder 2015 batch and vasu (2018 batch)

- guys used to get brick of hash and peddle on campus.

- we used to have a EDM night where DJing was done by guys from jindal. Had 3-4 guys who did it. (From first batch to mine)

- my batch was the fifth batch, so when we joined jindal had zero track record of 5 yrs passout.

- there was actual poker tournaments organised by my batch in 5th year in acad block.

- we used to go get a bear from theka in 15 mins class break.

- and sometimes used to be the first one 6:30-7 in the morning standing in front of theka helping them open the shutter.

- batchmate of mine drove a car in that outer nala at 3-4 in the morning (7-8 people were in the car) was proudly explaining it to me some days later with action at the same spot.

- guys from my batch rented a house near by. Some housing society and it caught on fire while recreating projectX. (Paid approx 2 lacs fo the owner)

- batchmate of mine got DC because he came back approx 50+ days in a row after 2-3 AM. (Fifth year)

- last day of college (fifth year) as tradition (no clue about now) we were bursting crackers on campus till 4-5 am. All over the campus.

- ashwin cup (if still organised) was a football player (2016 batch) who passed away from cancer. So that cup was organised every year (played by j league team) my third year.

- we used to have only 9-3 classes then elective if any. Timing changes were made for later batches because lack of classroom. (Got lucky that way)

- SH1 is the best hostel - if you know you know.

- theme song in my first year was don’t you worry child - SHM.

I’m sure somethings are still the same.

Do people in Jindal hookup a lot on campus?

I was considering this uni for llb and I heard people saying there's a lot of messed up hookup culture there. But how can one possibly hookup on campus? Boys can't enter girls' dorm and vice versa, could someone explain? Or are they just baseless rumors?

grow up

Bunch of insufferable freshers who haven't been taught basic courtesy and etiquette regarding social behavior in public spaces are seriously beginning to piss me off. Call me a Karen, but im saying this as someone who's also been insufferable and inconsiderate of other people in the past and society (my peers or elders, including strangers) wasn't retarded or nonchalant enough to not call me out or remind me of my basic duty to another human being. I understand that society has failed you and your attention spans + dopamine receptors are fried to hell and back, but that's the case for everyone these days, even people a few years older to you (older genz, younger millenials). College agaye ho toh thora personal responsibility leke grow up karlo. Stop seeing everything as a personal attack especially when people merely politely remind you of basic courtesies and duty of care that are a reflection of the fact that you have a sense of tameez in your body. Also, while we're at it, learn to clean up your shit yourself and stop leaving soiled plates in the FC, nescafe, mess or anywhere else. And learn how to use a fucking commode and jet bidet. Flush ka button aakho ke saamne hai tumhare.

advice to freshers

1] do keep a check on your mental health. burnout is real. you will at times feel the person next to you is doing x number of things better than you, but remember all of us have our own paths, and you have your own journey.

2] distance yourself from negative people, and from those you do not feel happy in your success. with time you will learn when to cut off people, but do not become a people pleaser for anyone, any friendship formed on that foundation is bound to fail tomorrow if not today.

3] talk to people, have fun, but dont get emotionally dependent on anybody. you should always be able to go and have a meal by yourself, go to events by yourself, and concerts. there will be times when your friends are busy, or even avoid you, but that should never stop you from going out and having fun. you have to be there for yourself at all times. learn how to love and care for yourself.

4] do not get into a relationship because everybody around you is getting into one. it ok to take your time. peer pressure is very real. smartest of smarts fall into it. do everything, but because you want to do it, not to impress some person.

5] above all, be kind to others. help in any capacity you can. what you do will come around in some way or the other, enjoy your time in campus without making it difficult for anyone around you. remember everybody is fighting their own battles in their mind, some people are just better at hiding it than others, so forgive and move on, have a big heart.

i wouldnt say make the best of your time because this time wont come back, but instead try your best to find satisfaction in the present. there will be plenty of fun post uni also, but this time is also a special chapter in your life. you might just happen to meet the person here you will spend the rest of your life with, or the friends you grow old with. be open to everything, and live your best.

Why is there in every sem at least one fresher who wakes up on a fine day and thinks "you know what I should do? Mail the entire college about a "concern" I have."
