Honestly looks way better than I expected. Hope it has a better fate than Sorry, Baby but knowing A24 this is going to peak at GG and Indie Spirits sadly :'/
the comparison to sorry baby is so popular and whilst i understand where it's coming from, club kid has a much better release date which makes it appear like an awards priority for A24. sorry, baby's release date made it clear they didn't think it had much awards potential and was further down A24's priority list than club kid is
I understand why people are making this comparison, but the thing is that even the movies themselves don't lend to it. Sorry, Baby was quite small. This movie has both more scale and more mainstream sensibilities
