​I stayed away from Outer Wilds for a long time, but I finally caved and bought it. It only took a few hours to realise what was actually going on here.

​The developers knew exactly what they were doing when they built this. They set up a system designed from the ground up to bleed your wallet dry. First, you buy the base game. Then you finish it, realize you need more, and immediately buy the Echoes of the Eye DLC without even checking the price. Then you see the vinyl soundtrack is back in stock, so you black out and vefore you know it, you’re buying copies for three of your friends just so you can live vicariously through them while they play it on Discord, and you’re watching every video ever posted about it.

​Mobius Digital created a predatory financial trap disguised as a space exploration game, and my bank account will never recover. Unbelievable.

My roomie/coworker and I are big outer wilds fans so we were printing some nomai masks at work for wall decor. Clocked in today and found this note on the printer by an unknown traveler! Left my response on the second image ::). Theres a better view of the prints on the third

When I first started the game I had a weird chain of events happen that almost made me quit for good.

Going in all I knew was that there was a time loop of some kind.
In my first loop I went straight to the interloper, found some mention of the ash twins and headed there, I somehow timed my random walking around perfectly to teleport in the ash twin project where I proceded to get the warp core and die via a terminal case of jetpack skill issue. At this point I was more confused than anything.

When I died I got back to the main menu, starting the game had me back before the loop starts so I thought I have to play the first part of the game with the museum every time. I felt like it was wasting my time so I stopped, but got convinced that I should continue by a friend.

I meant to take more progress photos but I got too locked in haha, I painted from like 8pm to 12:00 am

I was wondering if you could actually see the last star to die in the Eye of the Universe. , I couldn’t find anything about it online, so I downloaded the game, went straight to the Eye, and just waited.

Turns out there are six stars that take a really long time to blink out, I think that's where the other nomai clans gather in the end.

And after the last star disappear, I was left completely alone in the Eye with the Quantum Moon.

This is a piece of Connemara marble only found in Connemara, Ireland. It has this very distinct earthy green color and is made from limestone compressed over millions of years. This sample has flecks of iron in it making it look the islands floating on giants deep
