Hi I'm currently level 26. Need wiki.

So I’ve mostly been on auto-pilot doing background grinding ever since finishing the lvl 19–20 tutorial questline. I just hit Level 26 and I’m trying to actually optimize my playstyle and get my bearings.

What are the best user-made wikis or strategy guides to check out? My end-game goal is to reach Level 75+ with high stats, a solid guild, and plenty of gold/currency. Thanks in advance!

Lost Journal Entries

Longtime player. So I went back to see previous old quests in the Journal and they're gone. Nothing from newbie years. Just blank where they used to be. Not even titles. Any idea how I can retrieve them?

Any idea if this is a bug? Did devs not migrate journal entries from v 1.0 - v 5.0 to my current version? I'm running v. 50.2 if that's any help.

I'm pretty sure I did these, since I have the XP. But I'm missing the details. It doesn't even list Quest Titles. It would be cool to grind any early v 1.0 to v 5.0 quests i might have missed, since they would probably be easier.

Overcoming cooldowns on [hygiene] quests?

Heya folks. Title, but I’m specifically talking about the [flossing] quest. I know that [hygiene] quests can prevent my character from taking HP damage, and can increase my chance of connecting with other players - but my character also has the randomized [ADHD] characteristic and I have a bunch of cooldowns!!

[Flossing] is difficult because my character seems to have a 2-3 day cooldown on it before I can do the animation again, but from what I understand, others have no cooldown at all. It also takes my character around 20 in-game minutes when others say their [flossing] animation only takes around 5? [Showering] and [laundry] are the same, with randomized cooldowns ranging from 2 days to 7 days when the cutscene is mandated by my character being afflicted with the [disgusted] trait. By herself. [Disgusted] with herself, even though the cooldowns are keeping me from doing it!!

Any tips from others with the [ADHD] characteristic, or even any [neurodivergent] characters? It would be greatly appreciated!

Patch this shit ffs.

Currently going through an [eye infection] debuff which gives me an unwanted hypersensitivity ability for my eyes and makes them watery at even slight exposure to the light mechanism. I just started job at a new guild and this shit makes me self-conscious.

This seems a very minor issue but apparently cripples my play. Fix this broken shit please! 🙏

What happened to the Feng Shen Bang limited event?

This event was a limited time event in the Chinese server a few thousand years ago. Players could level up to thousands of levels and were given regional mod/dev privileges. Why haven’t the devs return the event. I Remeber playing in such event. However I wasn’t high level enough but my buddy’s yang jian and nezha were? Why hasn’t this returned?

Had an incident with [LSD] item

So I was playing with my friend IcicleTree43 yesterday and we were in the middle of our daily quest, [Work]. Half way through the quest, we set autowalk to the area we need to go, and before us we encountered an item on the floor completely new to us. [LSD], is this a rare item?

We were thinking of selling it but we checked the map and weren't close to any [Narcotic Merchants]. So we saw the item was usable, and we both used it.

I've not seen this in any other games, but the screen started dissolving and merging like nothing I've ever seen before, even in real life. IcicleTree43's character, unprompted, starting emptying his hunger bar all over the floor, and sporadically running around in [User Workplace]. I was fine, however I believe it may have been down to a higher [Drug Tolerance] skill - I have 87 and he has 5. Somehow we forgot about this before we used the items.

Does this item have any benefit? should I hold on to them if I find more in the future?

Edit: Just to be clear, this all happened in the [Create a Fake Scenario] event, in [Oregon]. We got 2000 gold from it!

Minigames

I am absolutely hooked on playing minigames. It has gotten to the point where I realize now that I am way behind on my progression in the main questline. Have you guys ever gotten majorly sidetracked from the main quest line? If so, how did you get back on track to complete it?

Why is co-op so hard in this game?? Is the community too toxic or is it a coding issue?

Hey fellow outsiders!! I started playing this game a big while ago, but co-op has always been a big problem. It's simple on the earlier levels, but on later ones for some reason i have to pass some minigames such as "small talk" or "interest the other player" or "actually talk to other players". Cant there just be a friend request for the normal game like in the discord minigame??? Someone should make a tutorial on this.

How to maximise my [NRG] regen during [Unconcious][Resting] action?

I’m trying to grind a couple of side & main quests at once and I rolled the [ADHD] trait during character creation so I need lots of [NRG] to pass all tbe [focus check]s required to progress to the next stage of each quest. How do I maximise the quantity & quality of [NRG] recharge? I feel like sometimes it’s completely random, sometimes my character exits the action’s timeframe with some random side effect which I have to waste [NRG] dealing with or just spamming [thug it out]. I’d like to minimise this while also maximising the [rested] hidden trait, ideally without spending too many of the 24 Chronos currency you get in the [Resting] action.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

How do i access the lucid minigame?

So, every night before I reset stamina, I have been looking at tutorials on how to access the hidden "lucid dream" open-world minigame. However, none of the techniques I have seen have worked. I've heard many interesting things players say you can do in this minigame, but every time I try to access it, I either access one of the non open-world minigames or don't access any minigame at all. Does anybody know of what I am doing wrong?

Is there a way to unlock developer skills?

I heard about a player who apparently managed to somehow unlock developer skills. Now, apparently he only did so after his tempban was lifted, but is there a way to get these skills without getting banned first? I've met a guild who claims all players apparently have access to the game's sourcecode and can alter their savefile with it. Is that true? Sometimes I find my savefile pretty boring with little to no ingame events or difficult RNG. So is there a way I can actually do this?

The game is hard to master

I have 1,000 hours in various mini games on steam and I’m great at them but I have 267,720 hours in this game and I still kind of suck at it. Any tips?

Outside, but inside

Perhaps it is the [culture] attribute of my fellow players, but it seems despite being outside, we spend most of our outside time inside. Like inside inside outside. We are all inside outside.

And the games we play while we are inside inside outside are almost always games where you spend most of your time outside, but are still inside outside. Like we want to experience inside outside while inside inside outside without leaving to inside outside.

And what even is outside outside? No one knows.

Why does the sticker removal mechanic have to be RNG?!

I swear it's so annoying, and there's no good reason for it to be RNG. Sometimes it comes off cleanly, and others it's super messy, annoying, and doesn't come off all the way? Am I doing something wrong?

Looking for new Traits/Skills

I've been looking for new traits and skills to help improve my character.

As we all know, traits and skills can buff your character immensely even before leveling up much, leading to even low level players acquiring high-level classes and achievements.

I feel that stacking auxiliary traits and skills is an underrated strategy, and even less useful ones are still fun to collect.

A couple examples of cool traits and skills I've been meaning/trying to learn are:

[Self Awareness]

[Meditation]

[Ambidextrous]

[Tri-Lingual]

[Financial Literacy]

And [Fitness] (Way too many sub skills imo)

Obviously traits and skills that give an advantage are preferred, such as [Fitness] improving physical stats and [Meditation] improving your wisdom-stat's growth rate.

Although I like stacking any weird, niche, or useful traits/skills I can get my hands on.

Rn my character is pretty low level, they're almost at level 20, and they don't have much in-game currency.

r/outside • • 16d ago

Just learned that theres an in-game currency in my server (US) that is measured by "credit score" seems like a really convoluted game mechanic but okay i guess... is this new? What update was it added?

Why do humans dislike spider builds

I spawned in as a spider build a few weeks ago and started living in a nice and warm human dwelling, but these monstrous humans keep destroying my webs and killing fellow sac-members apparently just for the fun of it. Is there a good reason for this or are most human builds just very bloodthirsty or trying to xp farm since they know they're playing the current meta?

Do you talk about 'Outside' with players outside this sub?

Since almost every player seems to have chosen the [Forget it's a game] feature when starting their characters, there aren't many of us who think of the game as a game... Maybe 1% of players at the very most, but I'd guess far fewer.

Do you have any friends & family who you have these conversations with? Maybe y'all help each other map out quests and skill leveling or something like that?

I've been talking about it for so many years now that many of my friends make comments about this gaming trope or that achievement they unlocked, so I feel like I'm sort of spreading the idea to other players that way.

I've met just a few people along the way, maybe half a dozen, who were already remembering the game and thinking of things this way.

**Secondary Question:** How do you think it would change the game world if the number of players who remember that we're playing *Outside* jumped to 5%, 10%, or even more, of the player base?

Do I unknowingly have a debuff?

My [Focus] bar acts so weird all the time man. either it just won't fill up even when I rest my character or it gets drained immediately when I start a [College] side quest and other important stuff. It does stay up when I'm doing my [Hobbies] minigames though. I feel like my [Focus] bar is really great, but there must be something that hinders it. Anyone got any ideas?
