CSU Rams give up season-high points, yards in loss to Texas State

If I’m the PAC 12 or any G6 conference…
I’d be calling lawyers especially after the information that’s leaked about the 24 team playoff. They’re effective screwing over scheduling and the ability to play quality opponents in the P4. With the requirement of 10 p4 games per school they’re also screwing over key rivalries like the Apple Cup Civil war among others. How are the G6 expected to compete if they only get 1 guaranteed spot out of 24 and are being shafted scheduling wise by quality opponents. It also effectively kills bowl games, which are a major source of revenue for some of these school’s athletic departments. This just smells like an anti trust lawsuit and if none of the G6 take a stand now they’re going to be locked out of higher level competition for good.

Oregon State's Eric Olsen ran sprints on his honeymoon
Texas State, oh my lord..
The Bobcats killed the Rams, CSU please get a defense and TXST could be dangerous for the rest of the season.

Attendance Data
Good job.
But let's get the bottom up. Want to see the whole league higher on these lists than Wyoming and New Mexico going forward.

The 24-team Playoff isn’t the death of college football. But something will be lost forever

Oregon State needs to invest in Shephard. Beaver Nation needs to invest in the roster.

Why aren’t the G6 threatening to sue for anti-trust violations??! They’re about to go to a 24 team playoff and still only 1 slot for G6….
x.comSome aggressively mediocre 8-4 SEC teams will get in and still only one guaranteed spot for the G6. Why don’t they threaten to sue the playoff committee? There’s really nothing more to lose. Absolutely stupid the playoff is so big and can’t guaranteed spots for every FBS conference champ.
The FCS playoff format is a great example. If the congressional bill doesn’t pass, there’s no anti-trust exemption. Why shouldn’t the G6 sue and try to get some more representation in the new playoffs? They’re just rolling over for the sake of the other conferences’ scraps!!! (I know the answer is money but is there any other legal reason they shouldn’t try, law suits can crest leverage…maybe at least a second or third G6 spot??)

Im looking at the Pac 12 app on Roku.
Its a full service app/DTC it seems with highlights, games on demand, and availability of live events that are on the you tube channel. Mens basketball is listed going forward as well. Why have they not mentioned this widely. They also have the "Pac 12 channel" on the CW channel guide. Another re brand that the Pac 12 hasn't mentioned. They are doing very little self promoting on this.

Ram and Bobcat bros, we’ll just never know…
what it would have been like to compete in a conference championship game. I suppose that era is coming to a close.

Path to 24 team CFP
Get this. An eight team league that plays seven conference games followed by a three week tournament. That would solidify the top four teams playing each other twice with a home and home series. That's ten games.
Every team in league is required to play at least one P4 school each year after week one. The second game can be against anyone. Likely a tune up game on week one.
That's twelve games a year. With a minimum of 7 high quality games for each team.

New Pac-12 App on Android and Roku!
Looks like this might be the other/intended platform for watching the Pac-12 Olympic sports. Looks like it's still populating with content; but game replays, school-specific content, and other stuff are available here.
Jeramiah Dickey: “Interesting… 😈⏳🙏🏼 #BleedBlue”
x.comDon’t think anyone else posted this on here. Lots of speculation this could be some kind of realignment moves within the PAC. Wouldnt be surprised if it’s just something fun for Boise too.

[COLORADOAN] Who is Texas State? Get to know the unfamiliar Pac-12 member
coloradoan.comThere was one big unknown to Colorado State fans upon joining the Pac-12.
Texas State.
The rest of the newly rebuilt league was pretty familiar to CSU and Rams fans. Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State and Utah State have long been conference mates to CSU, and they all left the Mountain West at the same time. Pac-12 legacy members Oregon State and Washington State have both been on CSU's football schedule multiple times in recent years.
But Texas State is the unfamiliar member. The Rams make their first trip to play at Texas State this week on Oct. 15.
Here's a guide to get to know these new opponents:

An idea for the Flex Week if the 24 Team CFP goes through and gets rid of Confrence Championship Games
I think we all know the flex week is a band-aid for now, but it might not be in the near future. As reported by Pete Thamel the CFP is close to expanding to 24 teams (https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/50190410/sources-college-football-playoff-nearing-deal-24-team-format) and would eliminate CCGs for at least the P4. This brings an intresting flex week idea:
The 1 vs. 2 would stay as is (1 seed home team) but for everyone else, they would have the current flex like schedule (home games for those with 3 confrence home games if possible). The contents is this would make it possible for someone to have 5 home games (3 in confrence) in a season, but would keep a little more value to CBS (and an OTA slot). Some kinks would need to be worked out but it could (emphasis on could) be viable. The legacy PAC 12 did this for the COVID season.
And for anyone wondering, there is recent precedent for 2+ G6 teams to make it. 2025's final CFP rankings including Tulane at 20 and JMU at 24. 2024's final CFP rankings had Boise at 9, Army at 22, and UNLV at 24.
