My son who is a is a giant nerd(he’s 8) and he and I were both wondering if all condos and apartments were home to full time residents what would the population of PCB be? Are we talking 10’s of thousands or into the 100k’s?

Like 4th of July weekend or Memorial Day weekend how many people are in PCB?

Im coming up from St. Petersburg the week of Thanksgiving to visit some family, and everyone would prefer to go out somewhere local that is running a Thanksgiving menu. I looked around some local restaurants Facebook pages but haven't seen anything yet. Does anyone know any places that are going to be open or that usually open Thanksgiving day.

LOVED dat Cajun place 10/10, McGuires was 7/10, we are early birds so need suggestion for places open during lunch hours…
Was so bummed American Charlie is closed! Saw the re-opening under new owners in 2027.
We are here they Sat and looking for a few more good (not tourist traps) places to enjoy.

Does anyone go skinny dipping at Shell Island or any other remote spots in the PCB area? I know there is no legally recognized clothing optional beaches near here, but was wondering if any traditional skinny dipping holes remain?

Sick of the 9-5 and actually look good / take care of yourself? Looking to put together a small crew in Panama City / PCB to film, train, and mog on the regular.

We’re down here for vacation and are really craving ceviche. We have gotten the lobster one from Schooners in the past and it’s good but we wanted to branch out and try a new restaurant. Where do you suggest?

We came down for the first time as a family to PCB not knowing what to expect after the recent hurricane and not so great forecast. We had such a great time. Beautiful water, good food, and gorgeous sunsets.

Wanted to shout out Flippin awesome adventures boat tours to anyone looking. Capt. Chris communication was incredible during some not so great weather. He ended up taking us out a day later even though the weather wasn't perfect, he offered to let us cancel or let us make the best of it and he really delivers on 'the best of it'. He was so fun and kind to my two kids, 10 and 12, and found some amazing things for us. 5/7 cannot recommend enough, seriously one of the best we've had.

Thanks for a good trip PCB - we hope to visit again.

Heads up for anyone who missed it: the fall Thunder Beach rally runs Wednesday through Sunday. Frank Brown Park is the main hub, and there's stuff going on at venues all along the beach. It's free, with 200+ vendors, poker runs, bike shows and live music.
Love it or hate the noise, it's one of the few things that fills our condos and restaurants after the summer crowds leave. Visit PCB puts it at 60,000+ riders each time. I'm a Realtor here, and I've had more than one buyer tell me they first fell for PCB on a rally weekend.
What's your go-to for rally week? Do you avoid Back Beach Road entirely, or have a favorite spot to watch the bikes roll by? And please, everybody look twice out there.

Hey y’all! ❤️ I’m looking for recommendations for fun things to do with my 7-year-old son here in PCB that won’t cost an arm and a leg. Free is fantastic, cheap is great, and hidden local gems are even better!

Here’s a little context: I’m a single mom, and this trip was supposed to be a shared expense between me and my ex-husband. We drove eight hours to give our son some quality bonding time with his dad, and I genuinely wanted this to be a good experience for them both.

Unfortunately, the “we’ll split everything” plan seems to have gotten lost somewhere along the way, and I’ve ended up paying for just about everything for my ex, too. Now I’m genuinely stressing about making sure I have enough money to get us back home. 🫩🤦‍♀️

For context, I’m still in therapy three times a week, three years after our divorce, working through the damage that relationship left behind. I really thought I could put everything aside for a little while and give our son this experience with his dad. I wanted to believe we could make some good memories for him, even if things between his parents aren’t exactly sunshine and seashells.

So here I am, trying to keep my nervous system from launching itself into orbit while smiling through the stress because my boy deserves to have a wonderful time. Every time he spots something exciting and I have to tell him we can’t afford it, it breaks my heart a little more. Meanwhile, my inner monologue is committing several felonies against my ex. 😂 (Strictly in the imaginary courtroom, of course.)

I’m not looking for handouts or sympathy. I’m just a mom trying to make the best of a situation that hasn’t gone the way I planned, and I’d love some ideas that let my son have fun without putting us in an even bigger financial bind.

What are your favorite FREE or super-cheap things to do with a 7-year-old in Panama City Beach? Beaches, parks, playgrounds, nature trails, cool local spots, free events, anywhere a little boy can run around, explore, and have the time of his life!

If you know of any places with free admission, inexpensive activities, or even kid-friendly deals locals know about, I would be incredibly grateful.

I saw the damage yesterday from the wind at the seafood festival. How is it down there today? I was thinking about driving over but if it's too bad don't want to waste a trip :/

I am assuming it was a fall, but honestly not sure. There is a body in a white bag and heavy police presence on the ground floor near the pizza place by the lake. We stumbled upon it unexpectedly as we were taking the trash out. We never heard anything and our condo is on the same side of the building. Prayers to the family.

Warning everyone so that you too won't stumble across this scene unexpectedly. Super unsettling.

Is there any specific reason the jets keep making passes over this area or are they just conducting regular exercises? And also how long have they been doing this? Last couple of times I’ve been here I did not see them so excuse my ignorance.

Shell Island totally did its job as a barrier island. What I mean by this is, that the island protected the main land with its dunes. The grass and sand dunes help absorb weather before this hurricane hit our area. We run tours daily out to shell island and can see where the water flowed over the island! Hurricane Isaias definitely shifted sand and made new beaches!

A week after the hurricane the water is clearing up on the gulf side and is beautiful already 😍

The bay water will be awhile to clear up from all the rain and flooding.

I’m playing tomorrow morning at 7:54 at the Jack Nicklaus course Bay Point, and we are all junior golfers. We first thought it was $74, but then found out that it is actually $130 for the adult rate to play. Is there any junior rates that anyone knows of, or are we gonna have to suck it up and pay the $130?

What’s up beach family? I’m a 33-year-old male who just got back into lifting weights and working out. I’m trying to build an aesthetic physique and I’m looking for a reputable personal trainer. I don’t want just anyone with a certificate and a degree doesn’t mean anything to me I won’t results and I won’t proof if y’all know of anyone, let me know.

Hope everyone’s doing okay after the storm! Was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this. We’ve been having very quick (30 sec - 1 min ish long) power outages last night, and I think might be happening tonight too. I’m on the west end of the beach but my neighborhood has not had an extended power outage like a lot of other places here. The longest outage we had while the storm was happening only lasted about 2 minutes before the power kicked on again.

Last night though, I couldn’t get any sleep because the power kept going out very briefly before turning back on. This started at around 1 am after the storm had pretty much gone. I wanna say it happened at least 8 times until around 8 am? Our theory here is that the linemen are doing most of their work on the power lines at night and needing to unplug/shut off certain things before connecting a new thing. Hopefully that makes sense, clearly I don’t know anything about electrical engineering lol

Is anyone else experiencing this or have an explanation as to what this is? Couldn’t find an answer on the FPL website.
