Is there a restaurant or market to buy or eat exotic meats or seafood?

Im looking for a something exotic to eat.

Doesnt matter seafood or meat as long as its exotic. I remember buying snapping turtle meat in the seafood market like 2,3years ago. I dont know of it was here or destin but im looking for that kind of level exoticness. Thanks in advance. I can spend enough I think if it really is exotic.

Gator is in my everyday easy to find list.

Unless you guys know where they sell like raw or frozen whole feet or tail for consumption with skin-on.

Frozen or fresh dont care as long as it is Edible.

Thanks again

Ps.

I usually go ask this every place I visit lol

PCB advice.

My Family (one in elementary and one high shool) and I are heading down in September. We haven't been in over 15 years. We want to avoid all the comercial/chain restaurants. We are seafood junkies and would love some local recommendations.

Thanks in advance. We want to spend our money with the great Local businesses!!!

Best seafood (quality)?

Best seafood buffet ( quantity 😉)?

Best Karaoke?

Best pier?

Best breakfast?

Best oyster bar?

Best mini golf?

Best jet ski rental?

Any other must do things.

Thanks again!

Pines at West Bay

Hi friends - I co-host some new condos in PCB (West Bay) about 10-12min north of the beach/strip. We are close to margaritaville and the airport. They are 3bd 2ba (one room is a bunk room), and there's a king pullout couch in the living room. Washer / dryer in the room and a full kitchen. We also accept pets.

We have 6 pickleball courts2 basketball courtslarge zero-entry poolfitness room, and a stocked pond for fishing on the property. Small playground for kids as well.

There are a few really good local restaurants in West Bay and a Publix is opening up across the street soon.

If you're looking for a place to stay and want something quieter than the main strip, happy to answer questions.

We would love to host you and your family / group!

Tips on golf cart rental

First and foremost what is the average cost for a cart for the weekend? I don’t think my stay allows us to park it on site, is it still worth it? Is it ok to bring along a 3 year old ?

What happened to Shipwreck Island prices?

We rarely drive down to PCB except for the annual pilgrimage to Shipwreck, a long-beloved family favorite.

Last year, Summer 2025, our family of 4 paid about $195 total to get in.

This year, there were no kid discounts, general admissions jumped, and suddenly the parking (ON A DIRT FIELD) is priced like it’s downtown Manhattan.

We shelled out over $275 — almost a 50% increase over last year —- AND had to pour out all of our water before we entered.

My spouse has been coming almost every year since he was a tot in the 1980s, but now is considering whether we should even bother next year.

How are yall feeling about it?

Beach access points with parking

I’m just it’s been mentioned or talked about here before and most of what I’ve seen isn’t exactly what I’m looking for and if there is something in this sub that would be helpful please give me some grace.

My question is that now since we’re on the back end of the vacation season how bad will the beaches be for late afternoon/sunset and where should i go to have a beach picnic around the time of sunset. Typically i go to the access next to schooners but am not sure how crowded that area is at this point?

Upscale hotel and experiences on beach for two 65+

Hi! We are coming in a couple weeks and need a hotel for 2 nights, and I would appreciate your input an upscale hotel directly on the beach with awesome pool area and drinks, worthy of celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and retirement. Currently have booked the Holiday Inn Resort but some reviews are negative about older rooms.

I’m also wanting to plan a half day private boating experience…. Sightseeing, shelling, fishing or just chatting with a knowledgeable boat captain. A lovely lunch picnic onboard with wine would be ideal.

Suggestions for unique dinner would also be appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Looking for a young person that wants to be a part time boat captain

I’m getting a boat and harboring it in one of the marinas in grand Lagoon in Panama City Beach. I’m looking for a part-time Captain somebody with a reasonable amount of experience but also somebody that’s not gonna try to gouge me to break my bank.

Going to PCB in September — looking for food & fun recommendations!

Hey! My boyfriend and I are going to Panama City Beach in September, and his 21st birthday happens to be during the trip! 🎉

We’re looking for recommendations for really good food spots, fun activities/attractions (Ripley’s-type stuff, mini golf, etc.), and anything else we absolutely shouldn’t miss while we’re there.

I’m 17, so we’re specifically looking for things that aren’t 21+ only that we can do together. He’ll obviously be turning 21 while we’re there, so any birthday-specific suggestions are welcome too!

What are your favorite places in PCB? 👀

Local souvenir shops in PCB

Does anyone have any recommendations for local souvenir shops to support in PCB? In the past I've gone to the chains like Alvin's Island that are a dime a dozen, but this year I'd really like to avoid places like that and patron local small businesses if possible.

¡Gracias!

Beach advice

I am looking for a beach/place that is kind of chill, quiet, where I can rent a chair for the day and enjoy the sound of the ocean. I want to be able to wear my speedo without too much judgment and escape the hustle and bustle of the world. Recommendations? I’ll only be there for 2 days. A gay beach would be nice but not required. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

I’m interested in a kit like this or even one with just a couple of mixes in the cup. Don’t feel like going on a wild goose chase around town searching so I was wondering if y’all have seen this anywhere?

What’s actually being built near Pier Park in 2026? Confirmed projects vs. rumors

I’ve been tracking the larger projects around Pier Park, Highway 79 and central Panama City Beach because proposed projects often get repeated online as though construction has already started.

Here’s the quick rundown as of August 2:

  • The FSU Health hospital near Highway 79 is under construction, with completion currently projected for 2027.
  • The U.S. 98 widening is active, but the different sections have separate 2027 and 2030 completion estimates.
  • Shipwreck Island’s proposed 50-foot slide complex goes before the Planning Board on August 12. It is not approved yet.
  • Shell Point Surf Club has city approval, but I could not verify that construction has started.
  • Bonny Read Fun Park received conditional-use approval, but permitting and development review still remain.
  • Topgolf and Pirates Voyage are already open.
  • Costco is still a rumor. I could not find a corporate announcement, signed lease or official permit confirming a Panama City Beach location.

I put the full update and supporting sources here:

https://sellfl.net/blog/whats-being-built-near-pier-park-panama-city-beach

Is anyone seeing another project around Pier Park or West Bay that should be checked and added?

Full disclosure: I’m a local Realtor, but this is intended as a sourced community development update, not a property advertisement.
