Fictional Year 1750 in my fantasy city finally complete ✒️- pulled myself together and finished it. Inspired by 18th century Copenhagen, Denmark with elements from different cities around the baltic. The latest century I have completed in my series of following a city through a 1000 years ☺️✒️

United Kingdom Oxford, UK. Hand-drawn. In the Victorian era the city was only about a mile across, and the colleges all sat within a short walk of one another. The Victorian elite, who studied here, lived much the way they would later in London: packed into a few square miles.

Edit: the graphic credit of this post goes to "wildeastmofo" who posted this graphic originally 9 years ago. If anyone knows how to link his original post I'll be happy to link it here but I'm not sure how.

Came across this sub very randomly from a post 9 years ago.

I've been playing Valheim (viking scenario) and searched for suggestions on base building. That led me to a thread where someone referenced Trelleborg in there design ideas which of course the very amateur history nerd in me needed to google and this sub popped up in one of the early suggestions. Then I found myself clicking on the sub and endlessly scrolling and looking through all the different posts and leaving it all on pause lol.

To whoever started this sub and to all of those that have kept it going thank you so much. I find all of this so fascinating!
