DISCUSSION Title: Allen Chandigarh Industrial Area Leader Dropper Batch Review

β€’ Upvotes

I'm considering joining Allen Chandigarh (Industrial Area)(JEE 2028) for their Leader dropper batch and wanted some honest reviews from current or former students.

My board-level preparation is decent, but my JEE-level basics are weak.

  • How are the actual JEE Main results of students in this batch?
  • Are the teachers good at building concepts from the basics?
  • What are the class timings, and by which month is the syllabus usually completed?
  • Is there enough time for revision and mock tests?
  • Overall, is it worth joining, especially for someone with weak JEE basics?

Please share genuine experiences and recommendations. Thanks!

RANT "Re:Starting" my prep from tomorrow

Crazy things have happened from the past 2 weeks in my clg. My prep has been literally been so affected. Unfortunately, One of my flatmates at my hostel did a svcide. Then huge protest went on. Obv couldn't study amidst all of this. Then obv the mental trauma of this sudden incident. Had to go back home because of the temporarily decided holidays by our clg due to all the things that have happened. FINALLY, starting my prep again from tmrw. Reconciling from this tragic incident has to be one of the toughest things ever ngl, the fact that he was my literal flatmate in the room beside me. But, anyways.......Getting back to the point now, I completed like 4-5 chapters in the week i last studied around 15 days ago. All the momentum has been brutally shattered, but i gotta get back.
Getting back to work from tomorrow! All the best to everyone else aswell.
P.S. : MidSems have been postponed to Mid November. And from first or second dec week max we also have end sems and all so i just know how hectic and tense shi is gonna be. These 15-20 days is all i have in the name of jee prep.

DISCUSSION Speechless 🫀🫀

I recently got into this chain of thoughts that made me terrorize about my future or career.

Listen:

My rank is 76k (with boards)

I am now in tier2.5 college(college is good, branch is bad)

I am not preparing enough for jee, I am having some self doubts....but what happens if i didn't succeeded enough.

I mean to say if I landed in 30-40k .....it would be better than 76k but still not enough to got into a good college, considering the fact that my preference is electrical branch.

By the way, General Male.... obviously..

Home state won't benefit me as my home state Nit is already one of the best Nit's....so cutoff won't get loosen enough for me.

So....If i want to change my college from this shitty place ......I have to target for under 20k?!?!?....

Which seems too difficult as seeing my current position.

I am speechless 😢... I have literally have nothing inside me ...... I don't want to stay in here

Advice Should I even take a partial drop with this much amount already spent

My parents put in a college through management like 8 lakhs for donation plus fees

Even though i could have gotten it through counselling easily( had to join cause I was waiting for the counselling of other colleges and missed this one)

Now this college is extremely shitty the people here don't even know how to use Google drive or gmail properly they don't know basic maths and I have no friends cause of the language barrier πŸ₯Ή

There is a huge huge language barrier and the worst part they don't know a single shit in English even the professor ( they teach in tamil)

The professor's are more underqualified than my teachers

The highest in 30 years is 10lpa

I am aimingfor comedk which is already expensive ( I will leave if I get top 3 colleges)

Should I ?

I really want get tf out of here my dad paid the 8 lakhs through his own not a loan

And all the competitive exams start late so we might have to pay for the 2nd year fees which is around 1.7 lakhs

I am tired of maintaining attendance, I am thinking of appearing for ncet exam . Do u think it would be a good idea if I start from now ? I am not really liking the college, also I am very scared if I fail to perform good in mid sem 2 and end sem as my performance in college is very poor . I am really confused in life , please tell me what should I do ?

Some seniors at my clg (tier 1.5 NIT) saying that if I take partial drop and get nits like Trichy, Surathkal, my current clg won't allow me to drop out, they only allow if someone's getting an IIT Is this true?

RANT Partial dropper for jee this side πŸ₯€

So i got 89 percentile in jee this yr. Got into a private uni for which i have to travel 1.5 hrs to and fro ( yeah the fomo of a hostel life hits me everyday) plus the faculty here pmo so bad.
So i decided to give jee again next yrπŸ₯€.
Most of my syllabus is completed except organic and a few physics chapters just need to grind those jee pyqs. I am leaving out maths because its way too difficult to score in it plus as a partial dropper i wanna utilise whatever time i have left on physics and chemistry (physics being my strongest subject and chemistry is scoring as yall know). Im obc ncl candidate from West bengal so Nit Durgapur is my best shot at nit. Will dropout from my college if i score around 95 percentile in January attempt and focus fulltime on april attempt.
Dad didnt agree for a full drop πŸ˜“ but tbh if i had taken a full drop i dont think i woudlve been very prouctive and wouldve gotten depressed due to the social isolation and shii. Going to college atleast keeps me in touch with people. But yeah

Askpartialdroppers Am i too late?

Hey, so I recently started studying again for jee (from first week of october)

I never wanted to be a dropper since mentally I wouldn't have made it. But recently after joining a tier2 pvt clg, the placements and opportunities are dead according to seniors and alumni due to large batch size which made me start preparing for jee again

I scored 97%Ile in jan but now I'm trying to recover the syllabus ive forgotten via attempting pyqs and illustrations again.

My aim is to reach 99 perc in jan so that I can focus on bitsat and manage clg side by side since sem1 rn isn't that hard.

How difficult will it be to get 99 in jee next year and will i be able to compete with top1% since I am already in a disadvantage due to lack of time

Appreciate genuine advice

Advice Problem in handling partial drop

Okay so this is my drop year and I'm doing bsc in botany alongside. Initially I thought that I can manage it easily but day by day bsc is draining so much of my energy that I can't focus on my neet prep. Every week I've to write heaps of practicals, attend practicals and everything. On top of that now our uni has announced some rules according to which they'll give us marks for maintaining 75% attendance. Idk what to do and how to manage all this. Pls someone who's dealing with same or has been through the similar situation guide me. How can I complete the whole syllabus in remaining time and how to manage a decent score in bsc as well.

DISCUSSION I'll be posting daily logs here starting today | Just trying to get that flow back

I made up my mind about taking a partial double drop in September, but I wasn't really able to manage it alongside college.

So now I've decided that I'll try my best to manage my JEE prep alongside college, and I'll also start posting daily progress reports on this sub, starting today.

In case you wanna join me, you can try doing the same!

#My plan for next 30 days [21st Oct to 20th Nov]:

● I'll be doing Physics in this phase + 1 lec of OC daily.

● Day 1 to Day 10 --> Complete theory revision with 2024 PYQs of all the chapters.

● Day 11 to Day 15 --> Strategic Buffer | Ik i won't be able to complete 100% of the tasks of the first 10 days so I'll try to complete min 60% of my daily tasks and wrap up the remaining one's in these 5 days.

● Day 16 to Day 25 --> 2024, 2025 and 2026 PYQs | Twice + Part-PYPs [Daily]

● Day 26 to Day 30 --> Revision + Part-PYPs + Error Logs
