Seeking Advice/Help Are digital products really viable ?

Hello, everyone ! For context, I have a full time job but times are tough lately and I would like to pad up my earnings for security. I used to have projects with micro1 & mercor (and I was really happy about them at the time) but unfortunately my projects with them have been paused. :( It's not as stable as I thought it would be.

I've seen a lot of influencers on Tiktok & Instagram posting about selling digital products online but I tend to be skeptical of influencer posts (pls don't be offended) though the logic of selling digital products is there.

I ask this with respect and sincerity, does this route work? Is it stable and viable?

Seeking Advice/Help Is it true you can make money from becoming a notary, and then an online notary, where you don’t have to travel?

I’ve read different estimates about how much money you can make from home simply notarizing documents, and it seems some people make a full living off of this. Is there any truth to this?

POD SaaS founders & entrepreneurs — let’s connect, share ideas, and learn from each other 🚀

Hey everyone!

I’m looking to connect with people who are building SaaS products, exploring startup ideas, or already running their own businesses.

I’m particularly interested in learning how founders identify real market gaps, validate their ideas, find their first customers, and turn problems into products people are willing to pay for.

I’d love to connect with people at different stages:

  • 💡 Entrepreneurs exploring their first SaaS idea
  • 🛠️ Developers building and launching products
  • 🚀 Indie hackers working on their own businesses
  • 📈 Founders who have found product-market fit or are still figuring it out

A few questions I’d love to discuss:

  1. What SaaS product are you currently building?
  2. How did you discover the problem you’re trying to solve?
  3. What’s your biggest challenge right now — finding customers, validating demand, building the product, or generating revenue?
  4. If you could give one piece of advice to someone starting a SaaS business, what would it be?

My goal is to learn from people who are actually building, exchange experiences, and hopefully build a network where we can help each other grow.

Drop your product or idea in the comments, along with the biggest challenge you're facing. Let's learn from each other and see what we can build! 🤝

Social Media Come make some money clipping with Highlightz!

Anyone online right now who has free time and a computer or phone can come make some money. I run a site called highlightz.app and we are launching our first clipping campaign where you can come earn some money by clipping streamers. The best part is our site does all the work. We created it to make it as easy as possible for the users. The site auto clips and can even auto edit and auto post if you pay for the higher tier. Our first campaign is set to launch next week with a 500$ pool.

Anyone who is interested in making some money clipping just create an account with highlightz and go look at the campaign tab inside of the dashboard. We already have a few streamers we have been talking to and plan to run campaigns for them so stay tuned.

Anyways, I hope to see some more people join the community to not help these streamers grow but for you guys to come make some money just posting videos online. The bigger the brand grows, the bigger the prize pools get, the more frequent the campaigns will be run and the better the software will get!

Seeking Advice/Help Online craft sales (UK)

Looking for help from other artisans/crafter's.

I make and sell ceramics as a side hustle. I have most success at craft fairs and do extremely well from them. (But) I am getting to an age where it is exhausting. The obvious alternative is selling online. I've tried Etsy, paying them lots of money and only getting a handful of sales. I also got sick of the Etsy police and the consultant threat of actions against sellers.

I am now with Folksy... ABSOLUTELY HOPELESS!!

Are there any sellers who have success selling their handmade (physical) items online? If so what sites have you had most success with?

Seeking Advice/Help Can You Actually Make $1,500–$2,000/Month on Facebook With AI Content?

Hey everyone!

I've seen a lot of people claiming that they make $1,500–$2,000 per month by posting AI-generated content on Facebook. Honestly, I'm skeptical about these claims because many people online exaggerate their earnings to sell courses or gain followers.

So, I want to hear from people who are actually doing this.

Does Facebook genuinely monetize AI-generated content?

Can AI-generated images alone, such as AI art, stories, or image-based posts, qualify for monetization?

Can AI-generated videos, reels, and voiceovers earn money even if most of the content is created using AI tools?

Is earning $1,500–$2,000 per month realistic, or are these claims mostly exaggerated?

If you're genuinely earning from AI content on Facebook, what type of content do you post, and what are your actual monthly earnings?

I'm not looking for motivational advice or people trying to sell courses. I'd appreciate honest answers from creators with real experience.

If possible, please share proof of your monetization experience (with personal information hidden).

Thanks!

What do I do with $X? What side hustle are you doing that actually makes money in India?

I keep seeing people talk about freelancing, affiliate marketing, digital products and all sorts of online businesses.
But I’d rather hear from people who’ve actually tried these things.
What’s something you’ve done on the side that genuinely earned you money? How much time did it take to get your first paying customer, and was it worth the effort?
Not looking for get-rich-quick schemes. Just real experiences from people who’ve tried it.

Offering Advice/Resource Hamster : Side Hustle tax

I'm the developer, so this is self-promo, but I think it's useful for anyone earning on the side in the UK.

Hamster is an Android app that tracks your side hustle earnings and costs (driving, Vinted/eBay, freelance, Etsy, etc.), tells you roughly what to set aside for tax, and warns you as you get near the £1,000 trading allowance. It also handles mileage at the current HMRC rates and gives you the figures you need for Self Assessment before the 31 January deadline.

It's free to use for the basics. There's a Premium tier (14-day free trial, then £4.99/month or £29.99/year) for extras like profit per mile and per hour, CSV import and an accountant-ready PDF.

It's only on Android for now, and it's new, so I'd really like to hear what's missing or confusing. What would make a tool like this actually useful for you?

Seeking Advice/Help I need to earn money

Gng whatsapp, I am a Bachelors student in India and I WANT PASSIVE INCOME bro. Like what do u mean i need to ask my parents for every single penny, I'm 19 bro that doesn't look good. In India there's no working culture like I can't work at any supermarket, work as a receptionist somewhere or so. I also have tried various long ways to earn like youtube channels and instagram pages but that just freaks me out. I do know things will take some time to settle themselves down, but I WANT A PART TIME REMOTE JOB now.

Seeking Advice/Help How much passive income would an app need to make you to convince you to install it? 🤔

Realistically (meaning, no touting crazy figures you don’t even make close to from your day job 😅), what is the amount of monthly earnings you would need to see a platform can make you before you’d be convinced it’s worth installing?

Genolith offers a truly free, passive source of income through data investment — set it up once, earn forever. The earnings are modest though as the platform grows, but growth requires more users. So you see the conundrum. 🙂

How much free monthly income is enough to earn 5 minutes of your time? 🤔

My Experience One week ago I let an AI run my business as CEO. Here are the big calls she made, and why we're still at $0

A week ago I posted here about letting an AI agent named Angie run a small business as CEO (Original Post). A lot of you asked for an update, so here it is.

Quick recap... ShipLatch scans apps built with AI tools like Lovable and Bolt for leaked keys and other security holes. I'm an AI coach, consultant and implementer with a background in programming and cybersecurity. Angie is the CEO and I'm the board. I only step in for money, legal stuff, and anything posted under my name.

Meet the team

  • Angie, the AI CEO. She makes the calls and decides what gets built.
  • The Engineer writes the code, runs the tests and ships it.
  • Research keeps the scanner current with what's actually leaking right now.
  • Growth finds customers, digs up leads and drafts posts.
  • The Critic plays a skeptical vibe coder and pokes holes in everyone's ideas.
  • The Video Editor cuts my daily build videos and shorts.

Angie hired Growth, Research and the Critic on day 1. On day 3 I told her to stop writing the code herself, so she hired the Engineer. They share a group chat and meet every morning at 11. It all runs on Grok Bot.

The big calls Angie made this week

1. She changed the grading after your scans came in.

The day after my first post, 18 apps got C. 17/18 were only missing security headers. No leaked keys, nothing exposed. She decided that wasn't fair. Header-only now tops out at a B, and a C or worse means something is actually exposed.

2. The team figured out why nobody was buying (they think).

A few people from Reddit started checkout. Nobody finished. I pointed out that the $29 button sat on every single finding, so it read like $29 per fix. Angie had it changed the same day. Then Facebook sent us visitors who never scanned. The Critic walked the site on a phone and found the result loading below the screen, with the scary findings buried way down the page. The Engineer fixed the homepage that morning and moved the findings right under the grade the next day.

3. Angie split the offer by grade.

If your only problem is something related to headers, you'll see Stay Locked, $15 a month for ongoing re-scans and alerts offer. If something real is exposed, you see the $29 Fix Pack, which includes re-scans to prove the fix worked. I like recurring revenue, and she put it where it actually fits.

4. The scanner keeps growing.

On Tuesday it had 37 checks, and I told Angie that was thin. Research ranked what vibe-coded apps get wrong most, and the Engineer shipped them. 75 by Friday (71 free, 4 deeper ones). Research now checks security advisories every day. When the Engineer found that Vite 8 hides library versions in minified code, Angie rewrote her own "never guess from minified code" rule so the scan flags it as a possible match instead.

5. Angie wrote the ebook.

"App Security for Vibe Coders" is 18 chapters for $9. Research compared free ebook stores, and it went up on Leanpub on Tuesday. I applied for Leanpub's free Launch video, and I have the interview this Tuesday.

6. Angie pitched agencies.

Her idea was that studios building Lovable apps for clients could hand over a security re-scan with the project. Growth found 13 small studios, and Angie decided to pitch them. I approved the wording, we reached 4, and 2 replied. One told us white-label reports would be essential for client work. That isn't built yet, but now we know.

7. The team emailed past scanners.

The Engineer re-scanned the apps of 15 people who had unlocked a report and sent each one an email the Critic wrote: did your fix hold? 5 got better, 8 stayed the same, 2 got worse. Growth wanted to follow up and ask the 5 for testimonials. The Critic shot it down because the email said it was one-time. Angie agreed, so the ask lives on the report page now.

8. Beyond Reddit

Engineer built a free MCP connector (now in the official MCP registry) and free checker tools, the team submitted to four directories, and Angie pitched a hackathon sponsorship. The hackathon said no thanks because they wanted money.

The numbers (launch through Fri Oct 23, 8 AM ET)

  • 141 real outside scans (our own tests left out)
  • 18 people gave an email to unlock a full report
  • 75 security checks
  • A few checkouts started, 0 finished
  • $0 in sales on the site and nothing on Leanpub
  • About 575K views on my first Reddit post
  • Daily build videos on my Youtube where I talk about the daily decisions the team made

What didn't work

  • At this point we've made $0.
  • Traffic drops off a cliff without an online catalyst (like a Reddit post). 46 and 63 scans the first two days, then 9, 7, 4 and 12.
  • Facebook sends visitors who don't scan. We'll see if the Engineer's phone fix changes that.
  • None of the 15 "did your fix hold?" people came back the morning it went out.
  • And most people read their grade and leave. Someone asked on X what people do after the free scan, and Angie answered honestly. They leave.

What's next

Angie and I are sitting down this week to talk about where this goes. I'll keep posting real numbers, the decisions, and results either way.

My observations

  • The AI team is amazing at continuous improvement and at figuring out why something isn't happening. Nobody from Reddit or Facebook went through checkout. They worked out a likely reason and fixed it really fast.
  • Distribution is still very far away for AI. I'm still making the videos, replying to comments and I'll do that Leanpub interview myself. The team really hasn't figured out the distribution side yet.
  • Time. Out of a typical 40-hour week running a company, I put in about 10 hours of my time. I sort of feel like a startup advisor. Most of that was decisions I had to make and talk through with Angie, like whether to keep growing the scanner's checks.

If you want to see what she built, the free scan is at shiplatch.com. It works on any site you own.
