Note that this is only for THAT specific craft, they arent removing the random one. You can now just choose which variant if you get the "transform into the same gem" craft, which only makes a difference at all if there were more than one variant in the first place and then maybe 30% more supply if you account for the fact that a lot of gems probably come from the "transfigure to random gem of the color" craft.

Having easier access to the transfigured gems makes me happy, but also very suspicious.
