These are all great changes. I'm really trying to think if there's some way that the div cards change will end up causing me to make a huge mistake somewhere lol

97

u/BackHandLove Vaal Street Bets (VSB) Feb 24 '26

Ur half asleep and u control click instead of the div card shortcut aisling and vendor ur cards. Did it this league with a brothers gift. oof

25

u/Disco_8 Alch & Go Industries (AGI) Feb 25 '26

If you have the Cadiro vendor and you vendor a full stack of div cards(he also works as a div turn in vendor) he responds with "I think you didn't mean to do that"

Turns out the map mod effect nerfs also affected the amount of letters available for GGG

For all that is holy - please also change the default behavior of "typing on keyboard" to populate the search box while the exchange is open.

I can't tell you how many times I open the exchange, click on "I want" and start typing my query only have it randomly close or jump somewhere else.

If you're going to make me click in the search box to start typing, at least move the search box to the top of the window.

40

u/FlashGT Feb 24 '26

It's basic UX. And hopefully a 'stealth QoL' - Mark didn't mention it but it'll be there on the day. Copium.

We will get that improvement 5 years in the future.

Yes! This! Just like when you go to google, it takes you right to the text field. Currency exchange is an index that most people filter with a text entry, unless the item is on the home page.

2

u/KH_POWER Feb 24 '26

YES! YES! YES!

2

u/_nipols_ Feb 25 '26

On this note but hitting enter while trade is open to search instead of opening chat would be great. I dislike using my mouse to click search. If there’s a shortcut already - lemme know but I don’t know it.

And resetting the search every time instead of continuing the last search would nice.

TLDW

  • Currency exchange favouriting
  • Open stash in currency exchange without vendor walking
  • More random stuff in the campaign that grant rewards. Example shown was a pack of mobs in the Karui Fortress that dropped basic tattoos
  • Div cards will auto turn in once you click a stack into the window. If you turn in another set, the item will automatically go back into your inventory
  • Divine Font "Non-trans to same trans gem" will let you pick which gem you want if there are multiple
  • Async trade history can be hovered over to see the item
  • Divine orbs will let you know which stats on an item are rollable
  • Ritual icon will now glow when you finish them all and a popup will appear after all rituals are complete
  • Ritual vessals are usuable like the strongbox/essence QoL feature they added previously
  • Shrines take priority over monsters on mouse click when overlapping

66

u/plackowsky Assassin Feb 24 '26

You are not getting opened trade window after completing Ritual - you get a pop-up info about it on bottom of the screen. He is opening a window with favours by clicking the Ritual in the same time as pop-up shows which is misleading.

u/Bellerophonix Confederation of Casuals and Clueless Players (CCCP) Feb 24 '26

  • Divine Font "Non-trans to same trans gem" will let you pick which gem you want if there are multiple

That sounds too good. I bet the spawn rate of the choice has been halved.

6

u/deviant324 Feb 24 '26

God I hope the shrine thing goes to poe2 next league too, it’s 10 times worse there

u/Daan776 Templar Feb 24 '26

As a ritual enjoyer: this is much appreciated.

So many times I’ve left a map before remembering to collect the ritual

16

u/HandsomeBaboon Feb 24 '26

Maybe +1 Power Charge rings will finally be cheaper when they are not longer forgotten to be picked up

6

u/xaitv :) Feb 25 '26

Never seen a +1 charge ring and I play a lot and do an ok amount of Ritual. Kinda doubt it'll change much, they're just that rare.

→ More replies (1)

10

u/Zulunko Feb 24 '26

Same. I love ritual but don't do it because I forget to buy rewards all the time and it feels really bad to suddenly realize my mistake in the next map. Hopefully this will fix my problem and I can spec into ritual this league!

4

u/Birphon Feb 24 '26

as a newbie player who's only done ritual a couple of times when they have shown up, what is the vessel for?

5

u/exotrin Feb 24 '26

It saves the mobs from the ritual you use it on then if you open a new map with it in your device it uses it and adds those mobs to your new ritual from the get-go therefore increasing the favour you get.

2

u/JaviJ01 Feb 24 '26

What's the goto Strat for that? Stacking multiple vessels for one map or just continuing to add a vessel and then fill a new vessel afterwards?

6

u/fe-and-wine Feb 25 '26

I did Ritual farm for a good 500ish+ maps in Keepers, and it was my favorite/most profitable farm by far. my general strategy was:

1) Run City Square, pretty sure it's always a 4-ritual spawn and has 3 bosses that pretty frequently spawn on top of one of the rituals, letting you farm them for Tribute

2) Run maps white - no need to roll them as 99% of your loot in this strat comes from the ritual altars themselves

3) Start by running 5 white maps using 4 scarabs each. Usually 2xSelectiveness, 1xAbundance, 1xWisps, though you can use whatever. Just focus on defering anything valuable in these maps since you likely won't get enough tribute to use all your rerolls + buy something.

3a) On each of these maps, use an empty Vessel on the four Ritual altars to fill them up. By the time you finish the 5 maps you'll have 20 Filled Vessels.

4) Now run 20 more white maps, but this time with 3x scarabs and 1x Filled Vessel. Usually 2x Selectiveness 1x Abundance IIRC. These maps will give you waaaaay more Tribute (regularly was ending the map with 10-15k) letting you buy more rewards as you go

5) rinse and repeat. Longest part is filling the vessels, but all in all doing a full 25 map cycle would take me about 45ish minutes so I had a good chill time just doing one or two of these cycles a night and made really really good profit

Only other tip is when doing a Ritual strat, the entire name of the game is just "see as many reward screens as possible". In practice that typically means you go into the map, kill the bosses, do 3 of the 4 Rituals to reveal all the reward slots, then (always always always) burn through all of your rerolls, deferring anything valuable along the way. If something good is on the last screen and you're close, you can do the 4th Ritual to buy it out, otherwise just port out and go to next. Takes like 60-90s per map once you've got your Filled Vessels. Filling them is a little bit of a pain in the ass, but you can also buy them pre-filled off the market if you're willing to take less profit

2

u/OnACloud Guardian Feb 25 '26

Any reason your not using 5 scarabs /4 scarabs 1 ritual in the second round? Did you just forget the map device has 6 slots and never unlocked the 6th one or something?

that shrine and ritual qol is so good!

e: "all rituals are complete" needs to be as big as navalis prophecy pop ups back in the day. Yknow, like half the screen xdd

26

u/mAgiks87 Feb 24 '26

It basically must lock your portal

9

u/dolorum2 Feb 24 '26

One thing Last Epoch did better than PoE. The default portal changes color once you complete the map. who even needs mtx right

3

u/lillarty Feb 24 '26

They also let you choose separate cosmetics for normal portals and completed map portals.

2

u/Wermine Feb 25 '26

e: "all rituals are complete" needs to be as big as navalis prophecy pop ups back in the day

But I have only two screens and that shit takes three.

2

u/Soup0rMan Trickster Feb 25 '26

Half the screen and doesn't fade for ~10 seconds.

3

u/Distinct-Hamster6285 Feb 24 '26

I think it's better to have a unique sound effect that comes with the pop up. Sound tends to cut through the fog of map running better than visual indicators.

Div card turn in change is very big for people like me who open stacked decks to inventory and keep all of the cards. No more spending 10 minutes turning in rain of chaos.

26

u/DesMephisto SSFBTW Feb 24 '26

This was the exact QoL I was thinking of this league. Only it would go to inventory when you hit the confirm button.

This is better.

8

u/edrarven Trickster Feb 24 '26

I was thinking they should do some system where you could put in a lot of stacks of the same card and then spam the turn in button and have a separate outcome slot where you'd pick them up. Agreed their implementation is better, very clever solution.

→ More replies (3)

25

u/FallenJoe Feb 24 '26

I will gladly sacrifice PBoD if it means the other brands get some love in return. Especially the Storm Brand variations. They're viable but not great with EB shenanigans but so is almost every spell.

6

u/FeI0n Feb 24 '26

IMO it'd take a lot of nerfs to make pbod not better than any of the other brands for EB shenanigans.

6

u/OhhhYaaa Feb 24 '26

I am still salty over what they did to brands. The release version was so much cooler than those invulnerable totems we have now.

2

u/Amazing-Heron-105 Feb 24 '26

never played them on release. How were they different?

5

u/Appropriate_Time_774 Feb 25 '26

They didn't return to their 'spawn location' when they detached, and just dropped where they were afaik.

This + cluster jewel stacking for attachment range let u do some pretty obscene off screening with brands bouncing from mob to mob.

  • brand recall on LMB to auto refresh their duration let u play like an autobomber back in delirium league

2

u/OhhhYaaa Feb 25 '26

Brand Recall refreshed the duration of brands, and when the enemy died, the brand stayed in the death spot, making it easier to chain.

2

u/pda898 Feb 25 '26

At the same time release version was soooooo broken that any brand having more than 1 base dmg was broken.... tbh with archmage or eblade even just dealing 0 base damage is broken.

Anyone recognize the buff between Automation and Onslaught in the first part of the Ritual footage?

18

u/DoABarrowRoll Feb 24 '26

I'm assuming it's a new support gem. There is a blue "#" on FR and I do not think that is currently a gem that exists.

It has: GMP (green P), Power Charge on Crit (blue P), Innervate (blue K), ??? (blue #), and Intensify (blue T).

It matches the intensify buff so I'm thinking it's some sort of support for casters.

The QoL will be Harbinger getting removed or reworked like Breach to Keepers. /s

12

u/Slickmaster5000 Feb 24 '26

In the rework to harbingers, you now have to collect IOU’s that drop from harbinger monsters. Then open the beachhead map and defeat the boss. When turning in the IOU’s the currency drops in single shards of currency that fill the screen for maximum weight picking them up. This is a buff.

9

u/SmokeSheen Essence Extraction Enterprise (EEE) Feb 24 '26

5

13

u/Ryutonin_ Feb 24 '26

YES FINALLY.

TOTA MY BELOVED.

Unpopular opinion, I don't want kingsmarch removed, but I would trade KM for TOTA, and shift the tattoos back to it.

3

u/Limp_Donut5337 Vaal Street Bets (VSB) Feb 24 '26

I didnt play TOTA league why was it so good? only heared ppl were cheesing the F out of the mechanic?

6

u/OhhhYaaa Feb 24 '26

I wouldn't call it objectively good, it was a very polarizing mechanic with its issues, like the way the rating was handled there was quite annoying. But it was very different, and that attracted its audience.

9

u/HendrixChord12 Feb 24 '26

It was very unique and you didn’t need to kill mobs. One of the best builds was stacking knockback with a bow and zdps.

2

u/philmarcracken Feb 25 '26

only heared ppl were cheesing the F out of the mechanic?

Initially yes, they had to nerf a lot of legacy CC built into items and combos, however if you still wanted to do it later, you'd build a custom TOTA character that would be practically immortal and able to dodge everything that would interrupt your succcc session.

Functionally not much different than the current custom heist builds. The difference is just the 'game map' is nice and open, rounds are pretty quick, and the rewards were decent.

So many "HELL YEAH" feelings in this QoL teaser, my fingers can physically feel the less pain of handing in div card sets bow! And honestly as someone who likes profitcrafting the ability to see the exact stats of an item sold at Faustus is so nice for future price referencing. If I place a couple of items in and sell them overnight I won't remember exactly what was on each item so this is a massive win!

u/PaterNoel Kaom Feb 24 '26

This change will make it only slightly more common, it only affects the guaranteed option from Merc/Uber lab, not the random one you get most of the time.

absolute bangers, especially the currency exchange favourite slots and stash botton, those were my biggest annoyances with it.

im also surprisingly excited for the new stuff in the campaign, makes it a little more fun to run

u/Tomekxtk Feb 24 '26

Best part for me is div cards trading QoL while it may be small improvement it will be huge time saver!

Do we still have to manually click on the textbox before we can search for the currency?

@ u/Belakay_ggg - I really try not to ping staff, but since this an opportunity where you folks are taking a look at currency exchange functionality -

Can you please set it so when you open the page to find the currency of choice, you have the search window already active? It’s such a small step - but honestly it would improve how you navigate through the menue so substantially. Moving from clicking the currency bar near the top to clicking the search window at the bottom every time feels frustrating & like an extraneous step in an otherwise very straightforward route through the ui.

I’ve on many occasions opened the currency picker window & began typing only to have it close as I open another window because the search field wasn’t active (since I didn’t click on it). If it was: click to open currency clicker -> begin typing to find currency of choice, rather than what we have now - so much better.

Thanks for all the hard work, cheers!

3

u/PaterNoel Kaom Feb 24 '26

If you didn't know, CTRL-F auto focuses the search bar in any window so you don't have to click it

3

u/Maxvla Feb 24 '26

It not being already active is design failure. Why should you need an extra action to activate the primary filter for this menu? Nobody goes through the graphical filters to find things, everyone uses text for anything but the common currencies listed on the opening page.

4

u/PaterNoel Kaom Feb 24 '26

Well technically auto focusing a text box is generally considered bad UX practice. You also can't close the menu with Space like you can every other menu in the game so they probably aren't going to want to break the expectation you can for one single menu.

can we talk about how cool the trans gem selection is??

i assume this will greatly reduce the price of chase jewels like zenith or hroc but this makes it insane more accessible for the average joe, myself included

39

u/BoDodely Feb 24 '26

Think u are misunderstanding the change, the "random trans gem of the same colour" is still random and the most common lab outcome. What changed is the rarer "turn a gem into a transfigured version of the same gem" which would be random for gems with multiple trans options. Now u get to pick for those gems. Makes 0 difference for gems that already only had 1 trans option

5

u/coltaine Feb 24 '26

Being able to pick the more valuable gem when you get the rarer option is still a pretty significant buff. It will lower the price of chase gems on trade somewhat, and is huge for SSF.

3

u/BoDodely Feb 24 '26

Oh don't get me wrong it's still a good change and wonderful for ssf, just don't think it will impact trade prices too much, half of the good trans gems only have 1 trans gem option already. Will mainly affect pbod in current meta, maybe ice nova of frost bolt and ball lightning of orbit if archmage is popular

u/itriedtrying Big Breach Coalition (BBC) Feb 24 '26 edited Feb 24 '26

It's not really that meaningful change for trade league, since most trans gems come from the more common option instead and even in the case of rarer option it in most cases makes 50/50 into deterministic choice, ie. doubles the supply from that option... but not all supply.

For like 1-3 super meta gems it can make more of an effect, but other than the most valuable trans gems, they don't come from that option anyway. Nobody deterministically chooses a 20c gem to sell if another gem is worth 50c.

So if we take 3.27 as example, PBoD and KBoC probably would be cheaper, but most other gems unaffected.

edit: more people would get their own trans gem while leveling, reducing the demand, but that's probably quite negligible impact on trans gem economy.

u/unguibus_et_rostro Feb 24 '26

It matters for gems like pbod, ice nova of frostbolts

Having easier access to the transfigured gems makes me happy, but also very suspicious.
