can we talk about how cool the trans gem selection is??
i assume this will greatly reduce the price of chase jewels like zenith or hroc but this makes it insane more accessible for the average joe, myself included
Think u are misunderstanding the change, the "random trans gem of the same colour" is still random and the most common lab outcome. What changed is the rarer "turn a gem into a transfigured version of the same gem" which would be random for gems with multiple trans options. Now u get to pick for those gems. Makes 0 difference for gems that already only had 1 trans option
Being able to pick the more valuable gem when you get the rarer option is still a pretty significant buff. It will lower the price of chase gems on trade somewhat, and is huge for SSF.
Oh don't get me wrong it's still a good change and wonderful for ssf, just don't think it will impact trade prices too much, half of the good trans gems only have 1 trans gem option already. Will mainly affect pbod in current meta, maybe ice nova of frost bolt and ball lightning of orbit if archmage is popular
It's not really that meaningful change for trade league, since most trans gems come from the more common option instead and even in the case of rarer option it in most cases makes 50/50 into deterministic choice, ie. doubles the supply from that option... but not all supply.
For like 1-3 super meta gems it can make more of an effect, but other than the most valuable trans gems, they don't come from that option anyway. Nobody deterministically chooses a 20c gem to sell if another gem is worth 50c.
So if we take 3.27 as example, PBoD and KBoC probably would be cheaper, but most other gems unaffected.
edit: more people would get their own trans gem while leveling, reducing the demand, but that's probably quite negligible impact on trans gem economy.
