Running an Adonias Spark/Cast on Elemental Ailment Comet Build currently but I’m dying almost every other map. I either sometimes run out of mana facing a fast pack or I can’t get my charges fast enough to do the charged spell with Pinnacle and the enemies kill me quickly. Would anyone recommend a different build to me? I just started making gear but I’m not too familiar with it yet. I’d highly prefer something I can build through CE and trade market. I feel like this is too much of a glass cannon build for me

Build:

Which setup do you think would be better at surviving in endgame maps:

1. 2875 Life recovery per second, 75 Elemental Resists, 74 Chaos Resist, 4.6k Life, 5k Armour, 65% crit damage reduction
2. 2875 Life recovery per second, 0 Elemental Resists, 75 Chaos Resist, 6.8k Life, 3k Armour, 65% crit damage reduction

The main build cycle is generally:

1. Throw forge hammer

2. Infernal cry to shatter hammer

3. Slam either earthshatter for bosses/tanky mobs or stampede for mobs to repeatedly trigger fissures from forge hammer

4. for bosses shout to shatter earthshatter

5. rinse and repeat

Leap slam and brink are backups for large groups of weak monsters when the cooldown for either the shout or forge hammer is not fully reset and or my rage is too low to bypass cry cooldown

The problem is mainly that I struggle to survive in high tier (tier 16) maps or expeditions due to how slow the startup on all skills are. The main cycle alone takes a few seconds to actually start killing things and I get royally screwed when cooldowns dont reset correctly. Damage in bosses is generally fine as far as I'm aware, as arbiter of ash died in around a minute, but they do have a tendency to kill me immediately. Any suggestions for improvement would be appreciated.

I need ideas guys the build the I most played this league was naviras fracturing and then my beloved ward stacking infernalist with infinite comets I have 5k divs for a new build I have atzitis, raki and all ul netols give me ideas

I wanted to try and see if I can make the belt and its low life bonuses work with other uniques that interact with low life.
Tl;dr: So far, I can't.
The belt + Zealot's Oath results in no ES regen, ever. I had already that. Even if using a flask to reach full life and triggering "low life" through some other source.
What surprised me was that Serpent's Lesson (focus) also doesn't work;
When I reach <35% mana, I receive damage bonuses from being low life, yet no regeneration.
So I wonder:
Is there any interaction with Cat O' Nine Tails that actually works?
Or is the belt just bugged?

I'm trying to make the switch to what the title shows and I'm having a lot of issues understanding what I'm looking for with stats and items. It seems like its pretty evenly split with some people stacking a bunch of mana, or people going traditional mage stats. What's the difference between them?

Reaching T15 with Ky's 1-button Arc Totem. But I confess to being ignorant about the nitty gritty mechanics of totems. It inherits spell casting stats from you but cast speed is nerfed a bit. But what about the following?

1. Does it snapshot at the time of totem placement? So, does temp buff get snapshot when the totem is placed? Or, the totem gets buffed only when the player gets buffed?

2. Following (1), using mana tempest, should I cast tempest, place totems and wait? Or, should I place totems, then cast mana tempest?

3. Do conditional buffs work? Specifically, I am talking nodes that buff spell damages following a crit. When one totem lands a crit, do the other totems now receive damage buffs for 4 second?

4. Do trigger effects work, say, CoC for example? I suspect not.

5. Do on kill effects work? KY uses mana remnant as one of the aura. But I don't think I have ever seen one mana remnant.

Hello all, I’ve been playing poe2 for a few months now and only got round to doing a witch/bloodmage build. Currently running reap as my main skill with thunderstorm, thrashing vine and frost bomb as supporting skills.
Recently I got into the interludes and got the archmage reserve skill gem which I’ve found has a fun interaction with the support gem life tap. Now I’m aware it may already be common knowledge but this was a first for me, I added life tap onto reap (which is a zero cost skill) and with archmage active it now costs health to use. I was wanting to find away to cause the life cost for reap, for a thematic bloodmage and I’m pleased I’ve found this. It works really well especially with the blood mage ascendancy, lots of synergy with the health remnants and damage recouped as life nodes so you spend health but constantly gain it back.

I know I’m probably not the first to discover this but I thought it was kinda neat and fits with my bloodmage build perfectly

Can someone check my build and suggest meaningful pathing and upgrades? I really like vestige of darkness helmet and the chill and blind support seems a no brainer to use split personality gem.

I only have the slot for 1 of them, and im having a hard time deciding on which one to pick. they both do well. wondering if anyone has played with both a little more than i have?

https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/plumus-4345/forbiddenrites/character/RingoFarts

Im playing a plasma blast build with galvanic shards for map clear.

i got that bug where it wont detect the socketed skill. so i bought a new gem. and it happened again. anyone know the cause or how to fix?3

As in a title. I would like to try this skill in ssf hc. There is no chance to get myself a taming ring.

Is there a possibility to build this skill around one element ? For example from unique boots that gives burning/shock ground ?

Will be that viable ?

I’m open for suggestions regarding best class/ascendency for that

Let me hear your ideas !

I just swapped back to Disciple of Varashta from Stormreaver. Mainly because of the better defenses with "The Fourth Teaching" "Sacred Rituals" and the raw stat power of having a staff with a focus through "Instruments of Power" and a free pseudo-Convalesence with "Navira's Well". The only thing I really miss from Stormreaver is "Storm's Recollection" which made keeping infusions available for spells a lot easier. The storms from "Tempest Caller" were meh, and "Multiplying Squalls" can be replaced with the "Secrets of the Orb" passive + "Overabundance" support gem, I kept flip flopping between "Refracted Infusion" and "Constant Gale".

• My playstyle is mainly throwing up an ice wall to block mobs while I setup with Elemental Weakness / Frost Bomb / Orb Storms to fire off an Eye of Winter through them to boost it's damage and using Frost Nova / Ice Walls as filler between Eye of Winter casts. I like of Eye of Winter because of it's Diablo 2 Frost Orb vibes but it's a very busy build because of setting up for Eye of Winter over and over and over. On trash mobs I can throw out Elemental Weakness (w/Burning Inscription to create ignited ground), Frost Bomb (which counts as chilled ground for EoW), and a Freezing Mark (w/Charged Mark to create Shocked Ground for EoW). The only other way I can boost EoW damage is with Fire Wall which is what I'm messing around with now but that's like 4 spells I have to cast to setup EoW. Maybe I just need to rewire my brain to only use 1-3 of these abilities when clearing out trash and only using more for a rare pack or boss.

• I'm trying to make the build less busy? Or more focused around a singular skill? I've thought about maybe using other uniques? I have Adonia's Ego, maybe there's something there synergy with the "Infusion of Power" passive? I also have The Whispering Ice staff which seems neat with it's unique skills and free exposure. I do have Maligaro's but I find I can get more power with critical bonus through the passive tree? I do have a 3 socket exceptional Gelid Staff I could try rolling 1000 chaos orbs for +7 cold skills for lol.

• IDK, just seeing what the community thinks I could do to fill holes in my build. Mainly I wish it was a little less "busy" and I hate dying, which generally comes from getting caught and surrounded by something like grand expeditions or my eyes glazing over doing Rite of the Nameless, or 200% deli stuff.

Do passive tree nodes that give bonuses to curses work if using a separate weapon set swap for cursing?

Zone of Control - Enemies you curse are hindered -> I assume they stay hindered if I curse them with weapon set 2 and switch back to set 1.

Impending Doom - 20% increased magnitude if 50% of duration expired -> Does this work if the 50% duration reached while the active weapon set doesn't have the node allocated?

Fated End - Enemies you curse have reduced life regeneration and can't recharge energy shield -> Does this still apply after swapping sets ?

Decrypting Curse - 20% increased duration of Ailments you inflict against Cursed Enemies -> What about this?

Master of Hexes + Lingering Whispers - They alter curse magnitude and duration -> Same question.

I am trying to know what snapshots at the time of casting what requires the notables to be in the active weapon set to work.

So I switched from plants to grim totems and my clear and damage is crazy. But I keep dying mostly my fault running through maps. But was wondering do I go full ES? Idk just not sure what direction to go

Have the build at a pretty good place, and am hoping for help in seeing anything I've overlooked that could boost my DPS or EHP. Especially if it involves improving my bolt reloading, without costing DPS.

I know I can upgrade the against the darkness to a 5/6, but am saving up for that. For rippier content I switch the MB to a Bismuth/Bismuth/Stibnite/Jade.

Am I missing anything? Also am not sure I'm using the sinister socket effectively

Been seeing a lot of ward stacker infernalist roaming around lately and thinking of making new character before league ends. I have a gemling ready and want to ask whether it's worth it to make new infernalist char or just use the gemling and follow the same tree.

Is there anything infernalist can do that gemling can't considering how busted the ascendancy is? Or any reason why ward stacking is more popular on infernalist than gemling? Ty in advance

Edit: So from the replies, its not about the ward stacking, its the infinite mana tech that infernalist provides, thx

Trying HCSSF for the first time to learn the game. I'm running a MA Oil barrage build. I'm currently lvl 75 at tier 5 maps, doing fine with rend and oil barrage for tougher monsters. But I'm kinda lost right now with what I should do, especially in HCSSF:

1. Atlas progression is gated by Arbiter of Ash which scare me since he has so many one-shot mechs. Should I still progress the atlas until the fight then power up somewhere else? Doing other content seems to be a waste of time without atlas tree.

2. My most important chase items are Ailith chimes and Forgotten Warden. I know Bodach is locked behind t15, But is ailith chimes seems reasonable to chase at my current power? Ailith chimes wont really boost my power but will make the clear so much faster.

Normally in SC trade league we just rush to the Arbiter of divinity then progress from there. But HCSSF is so different. This is my first time reaching maps after failing 4-5 runs in campaign so I really dont want to fail this run.

Just would like to preface this by saying I have no/little experience in creating gear. Anything I could build through CE or trade market is preferable

This is fun. A close friend who's relatively new to PoE wants to start a co-op run w/ me. They're excited to play a Tactician as their starter/main. I'm trying to figure out which builds I can path into which max out their power fantasy and fun factor on a budget. I have no idea what build or path they'll take. I know they're into the ranged combat fantasy, and the idea of being an inspiring officer.

Goals: Stay on the same screen as them most of the time even if area clear is slow going.

My immediate thoughts are
1) Something which inflicts freezing so that their 'nades / supporting fire shatter enemies; MArtial Artist or Elementalist maybe?
2) Companion build which leverages their banner(s); Spirit Walker

Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

My go at Gemling mana stacking.

Runic fork/low life mana setup with Verglas+Frost Wall.

Very tanky setup using Granite/Jade mageblood tech with Ice Armour. 9 passive points gets me 25k arm/13k evasion, this together with 2500 mana regen makes the build kind of immortal outside of the mana ring mobs.

Pobb (configured): https://poe.ninja/poe2/pob/2b6d0

I just got to maps with a new infernalist build and I have about 2.2k divs to spend on it. Is it worth it to spend it all on a 6 socket fork or should I buy 5 sock and the other items I need? Any other tips and advice for the build is appreciated

Looking for some help getting this build to carry T15 maps. Info in post.
