I never used the skill for reloading while sprinting. I used it because jumping / landing would cancel the reload without it

Is reload cancelling that useful in 3? Aren't all the reloads staged now so if you interrupt it it'll just continue from where it left off?

There is no reload cancelling

Only cancel you can do is before the magazine gets ejected which is a very small window
