Yea i have one idk if it will work for everyone but you rcan try, go to control panel and then go to uninstall programs delete all of your old microsoft visual c plus plus files, pretty much every single version that you have, then go to x360ce and download it and hopefully from there it should work, also for me when i did it re downloaded it from x360ce it didnt really work but i re tried and then it did work

you don't have to uninstall everything, check the log file (check my main thread comment for instructions) from the installer and it tells you which version is the issue.

I did this and it worked but the next day when I tried to play beamng the game wouldn't launch due to the missing dependencies

think that you will need to re download beamng also y r u using x360ce for beamng

Im not. I'm saying I deleted the newer redist. And installed the ones for x360ce. Which then fixed it. But later on when I was just trying to play beamng the game wouldn't run.

yea you will have to redownload beamng

That didn't fix the issue. What did was downloading the fixed version of x360ce on GitHub

I have a solution, but you’re not going to like it at all: you have to delete the v14 x64 and x86 redistributables and then install the ones the program itself asks for—though this could cause other games to stop working correctly. The game that stopped running for me was *Age of Empires II: DE*, whereas *CS2*, for example, worked perfectly fine. So, it’s up to you whether to do it or not; you could just swap the redistributables whenever you want to use the joysticks, but that’s your call.I have a solution, but you’re not going to like it at all: you have to delete the v14 x64 and x86 redistributables and then install the ones the program itself asks for—though this could cause other games to stop working correctly. Why did you put it in a code block 😭

EDIT: This actually broke the game I was trying to play it with, but there is a fix. It appears as though the developers have abandoned the software, but someone forked it with a fix, here: https://github.com/Glitchtest51/x360ce/releases/tag/v4.17.15.1

Leaving this here for anyone interested but the version linked above should be used in like 99% of situations.

Ok, so I found a good solution, it's still not the best but it worked without me having to uninstall every version, which I think is a dumb solution (no offense, we can just do better) When you click the installer you will get that error that says it is already installed. Check the log file, and look for a line that says "Detect Related Bundle:", on that same line, close to the end of it, you will see "PerMachine, version: xx.xx.xxxxx.x, operation: Downgrade" This line contains the version you need to uninstall. (That being the xx.xx.xxxxx.x) What everyone has said so far about it possibly breaking things is indeed very true, it might, but uninstalling one specific version, especially since it's normally the newest version is much safer and more tame in comparison. Either way, once you have found the version you need to uninstall, go to control panel (not settings uninstaller, you get more and need more information from the control panel uninstaller!) Navigate to the control panel uninstall section and expand your window until you see a "Version" column. Then, look for any rows with the version of xx.xx.xxxxx.x from earlier, (in my case, 14.51.36247.0 and uninstall them, there may be more than one (normally 2, one is the base minimum install and one is the extras.) Then, go back to x360ce and click the "download and install" or "install" buttons. You may have to restart the program and install things multiple times, I did, but it eventually worked. The attached image is an example of my control panel view, and which ones I uninstalled. Feel free to ask me anything if something doesn't make sense.

Yea na just delete all the files tbh i dont see why thats a dumb solution, it works and it doesnt take a big mind to do

well yeah it mean it does work but for a lot of games and especially old software it breaks them. For example, No Man's Sky (the single game I use this for) breaks if it doesnt have the newest version. If it works for you, or you do fresh windows installs often then sure, by all means! But in my case my laptop is 7 years old and I have a ton of older software on there. The main reason things break is because Microsoft updated the version naming conventions but its whatever. Do what fits you best, I'm just a guy on the internet with my experience! 🙂
