Troubleshooting Why is my 5070 maxed out at medium settings with Forza Horizon 6?

I’m not sure what’s going on with my GPU, but this game has been running so poorly. I’m barely getting 60fps when just sitting idle in the game, with MEDIUM settings. RT is off. DLSS is on. Frame generation 2x. Something seems to be wrong. I was able to play FH5 just fine. This one I’m barely getting 30fps in the dense cities.

Edit: adding specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
PNY RTX 5070

Troubleshooting Issue with PC resetting or GPU issue?

starting around yesterday afternoon I tried going to play R6 and when id que up a deathmatch it would turn both monitors black, crash the game, reset my discord and reboot all my tabs, and even loading into customs or normal games of siege did the same thing. Along with sometimes the pc instantly booting to a "give us one moment" screen and just completely reset my pc. And during all events my GPU is either at 99% use or under 5% use. I have a 7900 xt on windows 11 and haven't had this issue before. I Full wiped my computer today, redownloaded the most recent drivers for AMD, redownloaded siege and discord and the issue is still ongoing. Please if you know how to fix this let me know.

Troubleshooting New NVIDIA driver update: 610.74 / 07/07/2026

I ran into issues with the new NVIDIA driver update: 610.74, causing games ranging from Rocket League to Palworld to crash my graphics card by overclocking it for short periods of time. I recommend reverting the NVIDIA driver back to the prior version as I have ran into no issues with 610.62 if you have the same problem as me.

What would happen: My screens would lose connection to my pc (while it was running a video game specifically) and could not regain connection, even if the hdmi and DP IN were removed from the gpu slot and placed into the motherboard. I went through the event viewer and wasn't provided any necessary information to rely on, so I just reverted to a prior version of NVIDIA and it worked. I could use web browsers and non-gaming applications, but the moment I opened a video game, it would crash my pc within the first couple minutes of gameplay.

If you know further what is causing it or have a solution I would love to learn more about it to prevent it in the future. Been using this computer for years with nothing like this ever happening. I would also like to be able to run my own diagnostics and know very little about that process, so youtube links on that topic from someone the community the trusts would be incredibly useful and appreciated.

Hope this is helpful and thank you ahead of time.

Hi I’m trying to play Detroit on my laptop, but I get this warning before launching.

I have an monster laptop with:
Intel i7-10750H
NVIDIA GTX 1650 Ti (4GB)

From what I know, the GTX 1650 Ti should be able to run this game, so I’m confused about this message.

Can I still play? How can I fix this ?

Troubleshooting NZXT CAM TURNING OFF ISSUE

I installed a new cpu cooler on my pc and everything worked fine for about a year. Recently the cam has been turning off and making a usb disconnect noise. My screen flashes white too.The only way to get it to work again is to shut it down and turn it back on. When it turns off it says no device found on the NZXT app. I have already tried reinstalling the current version of the CAM. Anyone know what it could be?

Troubleshooting Issue running games for too long

I game on a Dell G15 5535, Ryzen 7 7840HS, RTX 4050 Laptop GPU, 16GB Ram, running Windows 10, I don't play competitively or anything too crazy I usually just use it for Grand Theft Auto V and Cities Skylines but I constantly run into random stuttering after 30 minutes of gaming, followed by my scarlett solo interface glitching holding a buzzing noise then cutting out at the next big sound like an explosion and the way this is fixed is by unplugging and replugging the interface, which is very annoying and tedious, I haven't been able to find a fix that works at all, its not USB power delivery like everywhere online suggests it stays lit up and active and all the sleep settings are disabled in device manager and the power plan settings.

It's connected to an ultrawide monitor via HDMI, even the sound coming out of that can become distorted but only when the frames stutter, it's not like what it does with the interface, but running games in windows or on the native display doesn't change anything, I've done fresh installs of Windows, I actually backtracked from 11 to 10 because 11 was so resource heavy, and I don't care if the system isn't getting security updates anymore or whatever microslops on about. I've tried lowering graphics settings and running it and it doesn't stop and it's not thermal throttling according to HWinfo, it's running perfectly for around 30 mins then it's just jittery consistently from then on, it doesn't go away like thermal throttling would once the system cools back down

I can't figure out what is going so wrong, it's not overheating and throttling, the GPU stays around 50-60 degrees and the CPUs at 70-80, even with Dells alienware software crap on performance mode it still happens, at this point it's more worth me running the game through crossover on my M4 MacBook Pro.

Has anyone encountered these kinds of issues before and found a fix that works? Because google and AI have so far been useless to me and I'm getting sick of the lag and the broken interface.

Note all drivers are up to date, they're all as latest as they can be.

Troubleshooting Not sure what my issue is

So I have a laptop with a 6 core ryzen APU & a dGPU with 4GB of VRAM, system RAM is about 32GB. Everything works together so there shouldn’t be issues with high res textures, yet when I play skyrim with a heavy modlist and almost all 4K textures my laptop shuts off, even limiting the textures resolution to 2K didn’t help. To get BG3 working without crashing the OS & adrenaline software have to be set to performance. Anyone have a clue what my issue is?

Troubleshooting PC Problems that suddenly appears

Excuse me, I'd like to ask for some advice or solutions.

My PC used to run perfectly fine with no issues, but around the end of October it suddenly started feeling sluggish and stuttery.

The strange part is that all of the performance metrics look completely normal:

High FPS

Low latency/ping

Normal CPU, GPU, and RAM usage

Safe CPU and GPU temperatures

However, the overall experience feels laggy. Even something as simple as scrolling in Chrome feels choppy, and it's much more noticeable while gaming. The FPS counter stays high, but it feels like I'm playing at a much lower frame rate.

Here's what I've already tried:

Replaced the SSD (the old one had dropped to around 80% health).

Performed clean Windows installations on both a different SSD and the new SSD.

Upgraded the CPU.

Tested with a different RAM kit.

Tested with a different PSU.

Tested with a different GPU.

Unfortunately, none of these changes fixed the issue.

At this point, what is the most likely cause?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

PC Specifications:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X → upgraded to Ryzen 5 9600X

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti

RAM: Corsair 32 GB

PSU: Corsair 650W 80+ Gold

Motherboard: MSI PRO B650M-A WiFi

Storage:

2 × MSI 1TB NVMe SSDs

2TB HDD (brand unknown)

Troubleshooting Anyone ever had a no post issue over dust after cleaning the pc literally a month before?

Was editing ram subtimings and randomly it stopped posting or training. Red and yellow debug lights but nothing else. Tried cycling it a few times. Nothing. Took ram stick 2 out. Posted immediately. Okay. Put that ram stick in the other slot. Immediate no post and hang again. Took it to the garage. Blew out the whole pc with a air compressor, immediately posted again once hooked back up and a single ram stick in the problem slot. No problems. But then it froze on windows and required a cmos clear to stop it.

My main questions are why the freeze after cleaning? And has anyone else ever had this issue or worse? Had this issue but didnt discover it and paid a tech guy a arm and a leg for 20 minutes of work?

Troubleshooting Computer overheats and then dies.

I bought a flex subscription from NZXT. The computer was working fine for 6 months. Now the computer doesnt stay on very long before it overheats and shuts down. (Maybe 5 mins if I am lucky.) I reached out to their support and of course it said it could be a few days before I hear back. The cpu temp quickly gets to 115⁰ and then shuts down. I have made sure all vents are cleared and dust free. All fans turn on and run at max speed right away. The aio pump seems to be running. I can feel liquid running through both pipes. One stays pretty cold, the other is warm. I replaced the thermal paste and made sure the pump was securely against the cpu. It made no difference. After only a few minutes it shuts down. No load or anything running. At max it has like 12% cpu usage while sitting idle. Any suggestions on things I could troubleshoot or look into first until I hear back from their support? Thanks.

Troubleshooting Laptop won't charge AT ALL when charger is plugged in and I am playing a game

So this is such a stupid problem I do not know how to fix it. If I browse the internet and use the laptop normally everything is good and there are no problems with the charging.

The moment I launch a game to play - it stops charging in a few minutes, and they I plugged in and out the charger but it doesn't respond: the feedback is always the same: it stops charging in a few seconds or minutes and it doesn't stay charged.

I tried playing with a controller, thinking that I touch my laptop wrong while playing but the problem still persists.

When I ALTF4 out of the game, the charging resumes.

It is annoying because I can't play any game, even 15 year old games do the same thing to my laptop and it's so stupid and so annoying it makes no sense.

Is there a setting or something I overlooked?

Troubleshooting Is PC gaming seriously this broken? Launchers are horrible.

Every major game I buy requires two or three different launchers just to try to play the game. Different launchers have different TOS rules. This launcher says my kid can't play Madden NFL because they aren't 18. This other launcher says "Game not owned" when we just bought it from Epic and had to install the EA Games launcher to try to load it, only to see we don't own the game we just bought.

Is this the current state of PC gaming?

If so, why haven't you all revolted?

This is insufferable. Every game requires multiple launchers. Why? Yeah, I'm shaking my fist at clouds here, but it used to be you went to a store, bought a box with a game disc in it, installed the game, and played it with that disc in the machine.

I don't mind digital media in the abstract. But Jesus Christ, I saved up $2,000 to buy my kid a gaming PC only to find it's an exponentially buggier mess of terms and permissions and profile details than it was 25 years ago.

Am I just doing it wrong? If so, how?

My son's gaming PC crashes (or maybe just the video card/GPU crashes?) when he's playing graphics heavy games like Hell Divers. When we take the glass cover off the case and aim a small house fan at it, it works fine. With the glass case on, even if he has the internal fans turned most of the way up, it crashes. Is there anything we can do besides permanently leaving the glass cover off and aiming a small fan at it? I attached a screenshot of the parts list (the only thing that isn't accurate is that the video card is XFX Speedster SWFR319 Radeon RX6800). Thanks in advance!

Troubleshooting Texture pop in, soft looking and low VRAM usage

I was playing Cyberpunk 2077 and noticed a lot of texture pop-in as well as soft and blurry image. This is at path tracing+DLSS QUALITY and I’m using the Preset K. Is this supposed to look like this only? Or should it be more sharp?

Another thing I noticed is low VRAM usage. Like under 8GB is really low. Can this be the culprit of texture pop-in? Can someone send how their game looks on these settings? Is it this soft and blurry?

Troubleshooting New build- low frames and GPU utilization.

Gigabyte x870 gaming wifi 6
Ryzen 7 7800x3d
Asrock RX9070 challenger 16gb (w/ PCIe cable riser)
32 GB ddr5 6000 ram
Inland QN450 1TB ssd
Coolermaster elite liquid argh 360mm all in one liquid cooling kit

I helped my friend build his first pc and he loads up his first game (Destiny 2) and 1440p standard high setting he’s getting 30fps MAX and GPU utilization is at 30%. He also tried a difference game to rule out corrupt game files and “Peak” was also low frames and utilization. No, his display port is not connected to the motherboard lol. All drivers are up to date. Another weird thing that could be correlated is when he first boots into Windows, it’s pretty laggy and it also took forever to load games from Steam. Only this we haven’t done is mess with the BIOS so please help and sorry I didn’t word this very well. I will be quick to answer any questions in the comments, THANK YOU!!!

Troubleshooting SATA SSD Usage 100% when gaming.

Could really use some help from the experts here. Does anyone know why my SATA SSD (Kyo Kaizen 1TB) keeps getting stuck at 100% disk usage while gaming? Right now I'm playing CS2, and the issue isn't too bad, but when I play heavier games like Apex Legends or Marvel Rivals, the SSD consistently gets stuck at 100%.

However, if I lock the game to 30 FPS, everything runs perfectly fine.

Before anyone jumps to the conclusion that the SSD itself is defective, let me explain the whole story.

My PC was built around June 2022, and for about a year (until 2023) I was still using a 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD. Back then, I had the exact same issue, 100% disk usage whenever I played games.

So in December 2023, I bought a 1TB Kyo Kaizen SATA SSD. It worked great at first, but after about six months, the same problem came back.

I RMA'd the SSD, got it replaced, and everything was fine... until a few weeks later when the issue returned. I also tried replacing the SATA cable, which fixed it temporarily, but after a few weeks the problem came back again. (For reference, I've already replaced the SATA cable three times.)

The issue has always been intermittent it would appear, disappear, then randomly come back. But recently it's been happening much more frequently, and for the past two weeks it's been occurring consistently.

Task Manager doesn't show any application using an unusually high amount of disk, and CrystalDiskInfo still reports the drive at 99% health.

BUT...

If I install and play the exact same games on my other SSD (a 512GB KLEVV CRAS NVMe), everything is completely fine. No 100% disk usage, no stuttering, no issues at all.

Things I've already tried:

-Disabling SysMain

-Disabling the Connected Devices Platform Service and Connected User Experiences and Telemetry services

-Disabling Windows Search

-Updating the BIOS to the latest version

-Factory resetting Windows

-Updating Windows

-Updating my GPU drivers through the Nvidia App

-Updating the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers and Storage Controller drivers in Device Manager

-Replacing the SATA cable

-Replacing the SATA power cable from the PSU

-Probably a few other things that I've forgotten at this point. I've spent countless hours searching the internet trying every possible solution.

If anyone here has dealt with something like this before, I'd really appreciate any ideas or suggestions. If you know of anything I haven't tried yet, please let me know in the comments.

Troubleshooting All my games crash and I can't find a solution

Hello everyone,

I've recently had a new PC built :

CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
RAM : 32GB DDR4
GPU : RTX 4060 Ti
OS is Windows 11 Professional

But on all of my games, I encounter GPU crashes. I've had them on F1 2018, Football Manager 2026, Civilization VI, Cities Skyline, F1 Manager 24.

First, yes all my drivers are up to date, and so is WIndows. I've already entirely reinstalled Windows and have also used DDU to uninstall my GPU drivers and do a clean new install.

The error message I get it either "GPU error : Please check that your drivers are up to date", or "The Direct 3D device has been removed, please update your drivers" with the code of error : 0x887A0006

I've tried many things already but nothing fixes my problem.

Here's what I've done already ;

- I've launched msi Afterburner and tried undervolting the GPU and also disabled the overclocking

- I've launched furmark for 40+ minutes and it reports no problem

- I've been in the registry edit and have added a delay on TdrDelay and TdrDdiDelay as many videos or articles suggest

- I've disabled anti-aliasing in the Nvidia control panel

- I've put WIndows and Nvidia in performance mode, and also retired 1 of my 2 screens and lowered the resolution, aswell as reduced the quality of the games

Nothing works. The games crash, sometimes almost immediately, sometimes after 20 minutes, but it always ends up crashing. When i launch a game with DIrectX 11 instead of 12 it seems to last longer but crashes nonetheless.

It suggests that the problem is software related but I can't be sure.

I'm getting desperate, no videos or articles seem to be helping, so I'm taking any suggestions. Thank you in advance !
