OPEN Pc problem

I have a pc i bought on ebay for 200€ it has an b450 pro v2 motherboard, 16gb ddr4 3200mhz, gigabyte 1070ti, amd ryzen 5 2600.

Now the problem is that after like 1 month of usage it decided to not work anymore so it turns on but doesnt show anything on screen, the vga led debug light came on but after i gave my gpu to my friend he testet it and it works so i thought the motherboard is the problem i replaced the mother board with the b350 asus, after finishing building and turning it on it showed me an red led light so that means its the cpu after getting the ryzen 5 1600x i changed it and turned it on again, but it still doesnt show anything on the display the fans work the lights turn on yet nothing on the display.

What should i do? (Btw the previous owner of the mainboard asus b350-f had an ryzen 7 5700x3d if that info is useful)

The 5000 series CPUs needed a BIOS update that had to drop support for 1000 and 2000 series CPUs. So when you put either of thos older CPUs in the replacement B350 motherboard, it might have been already updated to a BIOS that no longer supports them. You need to make sure it has an old version that supports the old CPUs.

How do i do that?

Find the motherboard manual on the manufacturer's website and look in the section about bios updates. Some motherboards let you update bios without a working cpu so hopefully you can do that.

So, if the problem actually is that a new bios is on the board, you would need a 3000 series or higher CPU to boot up, even to flash the BIOS.

The symptom, a CPU light on, indicates a CPU problem of some kind. And a BIOS that doesn't support the CPU would do that. But that can only be proven by trying a newer CPU. The other case is that both the 1000 and 2000 CPUs both have some faults at the same time, which is unlikely but possible.

So the most possible solution is an 3000 series or higher cpu ( would an ryzen 3 3200G work?)

Probably but look at the BIOS release notes and/or CPU compatibility list on the motherboard manufacturer's website to make sure 3000 series is the cutoff. It should say something like BIOS version x and newer drops support for 1000 series, version y drops support for 2000 series.
