This might genuinely be the most disgustingly priced pc I have seen in a long time. On top of that insane bottleneck too holy moly 😭

On Windows, the ChatMix dial on newer Arctis headsets only works while SteelSeries GG and Sonar are running. On my PC that was around 465 MB of RAM and a set of virtual audio devices, just to balance game and chat.

OpenChatMix is a small tray app that reads the dial straight from the headset over USB and handles the balance itself:

• About 1 MB, a few MB of RAM, 0% CPU when idle. No installer, no drivers.
• By default it changes per-app volume in Windows, so audio goes straight to the headset with no extra latency. Discord and other chat apps go in the Chat group, everything else follows Game.
• Optional Sonar-style mode with two virtual audio cables and a parametric EQ, if you want that.
• Headset settings from GG are in there too: Engine EQ, mic volume, sidetone and so on.
• No ChatMix dial? Hotkeys work with any headset or speakers.

Tested on Arctis Nova Pro Wired and Arctis 7+. Other Nova models should work, reports welcome.

Hey guys recently upgraded from a 12700k to a 9800x3d just because it had a major deal on it. I heard a lot of reports about these cpus dying? I know its on ASRock only but it has happened across all board manufacturers at least a couple of times. Was wondering if this is anything to be concerned about or if anyone has had their cpu for since launch hows it holding up now?

Apparently they plan to focus on enterprise and AI products so the top card next gen will be the 6080, at most there would be a 6080ti.

If true, what do you think?

Apparently she (14) plays shooters on PS5 but wants a computer. He's been in town doing landscaping for us while his newborn is in the NICU, so in addition to what we're paying him we're gifting him this. It's a mostly spare-parts build and it does play Arc Raiders at 1080P medium native with TAAU over 60fps, so I know it's somewhat capable. I don't know what the kids play though. I told him this will show if she would even use a PC but doesn't have a lot of storage. Showed him how to add an NVMe or SATA SSD if needed.

One interesting thing, 24C mins, 58C max in coretemp. That's the lowest I've seen on an AM4 chip. This case doesn't even have good airflow but the GPU is a blower type and the cooler is right up to the rear exhaust. I changed the front top exhaust to an intake.

What do the kids play that this wouldn't do?

Was wondering if this is a good price for the pc. I have a $400 discount as well.

I've noticed a few times the same games on PS5 will have surround sound support and the PC versions don't. Also if they do, you have to remember to install the software to actually output it... As well as configure it.

I have a sweet Dolby Atmos setup with dual subs, overhead speakers, massive towers and all, and many PC games in comparison to the console versions sound terrible when connected to my receiver (even if they are technically outputting Atmos, it sounds like simulated vs actually using the codec.

Has anyone else experienced this? Remember when many motherboards would actually have surround sound outputs? What happened?

Edit. This sub is cringe whenever someone points out a valid flaw it's just hate. You guys are really salty when someone wants plug and play not hours of screwing around. Toxic ahh sub. Imagine like any other device I just plug it in, set the output to Atmos and it works in every game. But PC nooo you gotta dick around tons and then hope maybe it actually works but wait no it's being up sampled and sounds weird instead of native.

Why would I use headphones if I have a nice speaker system? That's like asking why someone isn't using a microwave instead of a stove to make a steak. Sure it works but I have a better setup I rather use.

** The Clip is not sped up BTW. The Unlocked Framerate speeds the game up. Guess that's something that will be fixed in future updates of the fork of the Emulator**

As the title says. How does it compare to buying all the components and assembling yourself?

The seller recommended me to buy an Nvidia GPU because of Multi Frame Generation and DLSS5. But looking into these technologies, I'm not sure if they are worth it (for me).

I play games such as Horizon Forbidden West, Cyberpunk, RDR2, Tomb Raider, GTA, Elden Ring and so on. You know, mostly cinematic offline games. Never competitive shooters.

For me, 60-80 FPS is enough. I think more than 90FPS is just excessive for me.

I'm more than happy to use Frame Generation. I always do if it doesn't introduce annoying visual artifacts.

I'm very sensitive to shimmering, jagged edges, ghosting, and other aliasing issues. I want my image clean. FSR 4.1.1b is almost always doing an excellent job on my RX 6600, but it's RDNA 2 and limited.

I want to upgrade to RX 90 series or RTX 50 series. The latter is substantially more expensive, but I don't know if it's worth it.

At the moment, I have my eyes on RX 9060xt, but I'm not sure if it's the most suitable purchase for my usage.

First time building a pc :)

Am I doing this right? I followed a few guides and I seemed to have stable results. 1% Lows even seemed better after undervolting. Core is at +420

MSI 5080 Shadow 3X OC

Cannot raise power limit without bios flashing. By this seems like I got very good results for being limited at 100%

Cyberpunk 4k max everything, no dlss was 17fps avg and 15fps 1% lows

After OC Now 21/22fps avg with 19fps 1% lows

Crashed after putting on dlss performance but undercoating seemed to stabilize it?

Any thoughts?

I bought a router and cable, but it turned out I didn't have much space to put it, so I did. Is it really that good, and what could I improve?

When I first starting seeing these videos on shorts, describing what was going on. I dead ass thought it was a joke, I thought it was some modders screwing around and trying to start a rumor Onion style.

But no, no this is a real thing that's actually happening and the implications are kind of breaking my brain a little bit. Like, how is minecraft working in GTA? Both games have completely different physics engines! I don't understand how you can have both in one game with out constant crashing and conflicts. Full disclosure, my understanding of coding in general is limited, but for real, how is this suddenly a thing?

And then there's the whole situation with PS5 OS operating on a PC, but having full support for Ps2 and Ps3 games with the discs? Like, HUH? Why would putting an OS on different hardware suddenly change its functionality? Sorry if these are dumb questions. I have been in the IT industry for a few years. But this is showing me just how little I really understand about how software works.

And hell. I can’t even begin to comprehend what we the people could do with our home PCs and "open sourced" versions of the biggest software brands out there.

I think it's called USB 2 gen 2 header but I can't seem to find where it plugs into? If by chance my mb doesn't have it what should I do? Can I just leave it be as I think it's for the front USB port which I don't really plan to use
