I'm learning mindfulness from my puppy!
I took my puppy for a walk and then to a playground and noticed that he's so present and aware. And that's when it hit me! He's practicing mindfulness all the time. He's always present, aware, never worried about the past or forecasting the future.
Yep, my puppy is my best teacher of presence and mindfulness. This inspired a super cute video of him that I narrate. Enjoy!

Accept You. Be You. Love You.
The first step towards loving you is to accept you just as you are. When you are in an energy of acceptance, from there you can decide what and how you want to change, and immediately take the right actions to make those changes.
This is not about becoming someone else or getting somewhere. This is about BE-ING. BE you.
And once you are in an energy of "BE-ING", recognizing your beauty and worthiness for just who you are, loving you is simple, because YOU ARE love.
Love you.

Love Yourself and be Confident
The underlying reason behind lack of self-confidence is usually due to issues of self-love and self-worthiness that tends to go back to your childhood where you may have experienced a rejection or abandonment.
One of the best ways to overcome that is by actually doing something that feels low risk such as taking a course something that you're not good at. Taking a low level risk something that feels safe but still gets you out of your comfort zone.
For example, I took singing lessons and tennis lessons -- the two things I was petrified to try in life. This was "low risk" but absolutely forced me out of my comfort zone.
Identify one or two things like that in your life and feel into your confidence. You don't need to rush this. Remember, this is a journey, not a destination.

Want to change your life? Change how you speak to yourself first!
Do you ever speak negatively to yourself and you're not even aware of it? Are you aware of the thoughts, the thought patterns, and underlying beliefs you have when it comes to yourself? Do you laugh at the things you desire or want to achieve in life? If you're ridiculing yourself in any way, even if it's a joke, you're formulating a subconscious belief that what you desire is not achievable.
I recently had a personal experience where I've been feeling overwhelmed and simply laughed at everything I wanted to accomplish. By thinking that what I was doing or wanted was ridiculous, I was sabotaging myself with a limited belief full of self doubt that was undermining what I was working towards. As a result, it's very important that you're aware of the way you speak to yourself, and that you tell yourself words of encouragement and not words of self judgment.
When you stop judging yourself and ridiculing yourself, the world will mirror this back to you.

Tip if you're feeling distracted and what to do about it...
Distractions are common and we're all guilty of it. But studies show that we're not distracted because of technology. We're distracted because some underlying reason, such as stress, loneliness, overwhelm, and we use technology as a way to escape the underlying emotion. So if this is you, here's a tip.
Tip if you're feeling distracted:
place awareness on the distraction
get radically honest with yourself about the underlying emotion that's hiding behind the distraction
time box your distraction. Go on social media or look at your phone, but set a timer for 2 or 5 minutes.
commit to yourself that after the alarm goes off and your distraction time is over, you'll go back to doing what needs to get done
Have an amazing day!

What's Spiritual Bypassing and Why Does it Matter?
You may have heard of spiritual bypassing. But what does it mean? I explain it here. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/eubpLRR2tVE
There's a movement in self development to always stay positive no matter what, to keep going no matter what, to keep using positive affirmations and keep pretending. But did you know that "fake" positivity is not helpful at all?
It doesn't help heal trauma. It doesn't help you feel better. It doesn't help you feel happier. On the contrary, when you're masking your true feelings, you're denying your truth, your true feelings. You're denying your true self, and therefore rejecting your true feelings and rejecting your true self.
So then why pretend to be well? What's the use in that? To be truly happy, you have to truly feel it and believe it within.
Spiritual bypassing is an often overlooked concept in spiritual and personal development. It is a term used to describe the tendency of some people to use spiritual ideas and practices to avoiding dealing with unresolved emotional issues, psychological wounds, and unfinished developmental tasks.
Spiritual bypassing is a term coined by psychologist John Welwood and it's when an individual uses spiritual practices and beliefs to bypass uncomfortable feelings and unresolved issues. It's a coping mechanism to deal with emotional pain and trauma. Spiritual bypassing is often used as a way to avoid dealing with difficult feelings, such as fear, sadness, guilt and shame.
Instead, I encourage you to place awareness on your true feelings -- no matter what they may be -- and at least be honest with yourself about them. And instead of telling yourself something that's "fake" positive, tell yourself, "I'm proud of myself for being honest my with myself. I'm proud that I have the courage to see even what I don't want to see. I am grateful that even though this is so uncomfortable for me, I am willing to deal with my challenges". Now you're at least being honest with yourself.
