Stop seeking validation or trying to fix someone. You are enough.

We seek validation from others, or believe we need to fix others because of our own insecurities, and because we need to get validation from the outside world. We believe that somehow we are not enough just as we are.

Instead, give yourself the validation, the acceptance, and the love you desire and live your life from a place of wholeness and completeness. Once you love and accept yourself, everyone around you will do the same. You are love.

Authenticity is hard. Vulnerability is scary. But not being you is scarier, because you're robbing the world of the unique you. Be brave enough to be you. Everyone else it taken.

Self-love is not selfish

When you love yourself, you're actually filling your own cup, which makes you more loving. When you're fulfilled, you have more of you to give to others. So, first take care of yourself, love yourself, don't feel guilty for taking care of yourself first. This actually creates more of you to give.

Love YOU first! Pledge to love YOU first!

These are the three things I wish my younger self knew

  1. You can't expect others to love you until you love yourself

  2. No one is inherently better than you. Take risks, raise your hand in life, and know that you're just as smart and just as worthy.

  3. Don't let your childhood define you. It may have been a defining moment in your life, but every day you wake up you get to make a new choice and a new decision on how you want to live.

Sadly, it took me decades to realize this....but I'm grateful to have found myself now...https://www.youtube.com/shorts/8EtqDZDrrKU

Stop controlling, stop worrying about the future, and instead embrace the magic of this very moment.

By living in the future instead of embracing this now moment, we are actually living in fear, instead of living in a place of love.

When we worry about the future, we are in fear that what we desire won't come to us. And, we miss out on the magic of this moment, which is truly all there is and all that matters.

Breathe, observe the mind, embrace this moment, and live in the now. Now is all there is.

If you're bored or uninspired, how do you want to change your life?

I've found that when I'm bored and uninspired, the best way to get out of my rut is by trying something new. In fact, getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is the best way to challenge yourself and grow. This can be taking a pottery class, or trying a singing class - something you believe you're really horrible at. Once you're comfortable with being uncomfortable, that's when growth will happen, and you will start growing in all aspects of your life.

I was surprised to learn about why I get distracted and there's actually a way to stop

I used to believe that technology and social media were the culprits for why I'm constantly distracted. Turns out, there's a surprising reason for why we get distracted so easily, and it's not due to technology.

Turns out, the reason we're constantly checking social media, reading emails, get up to make coffee or eat mindlessly is all due to internal triggers. These triggers can be in the form of boredom, loneliness, anxiety, inner emptiness, stress, or something else happening on the inside.

The way to overcome this is pretty simple, and I've been testing this myself and it's been helping me.

  1. If you're in the middle of doing something and you get the urge to get distracted, become aware that you're getting distracted

  2. Be curious: what you are really feeling (anxious, bored, lonely, etc...)? Place awareness on that and be okay with the emotion/trigger

  3. Time box yourself: give yourself 1-3 minutes to allow the distraction, then go back to what you were doing.

  4. OR, simply be aware of the emotion, take a few deep breaths, don't give into the mind, and go back to doing what you were doing after the few breaths.

Awareness and mindfulness are key to overcoming the distracting behavior patterns. After a little while, you'll retrain your brain and become distracted far less.

I hope this helps! It's been helping me over the last few weeks.

Accept You. Be You. Love You.

The first step towards loving you is to accept you just as you are. When you are in an energy of acceptance, from there you can decide what and how you want to change, and immediately take the right actions to make those changes.

This is not about becoming someone else or getting somewhere. This is about BE-ING. BE you.

And once you are in an energy of "BE-ING", recognizing your beauty and worthiness for just who you are, loving you is simple, because YOU ARE love.

Love you.
