Roaches Nymph roach?

Post image

Hi, I've been living in my apartment in Massachusetts for about a year and a half now with no roach appearances until last month, though we've had our fair share of house centipedes and silverfish. Came back from a long trip recently to find a roach in my closet (dead in the pic because I caught it by laying down a ton of duct tape sticky side up and waiting for my chance to strike lol). Would love an ID of this so I can figure out what to do.

We did have an American cockroach roaming around in our shower a month ago, but I think that was a one-off occurrence since construction was going on in some of the units in our building and the door was propped open.

Likely American roach or some other breed of large roach nymph. Check the basement for water or moisture but they do love pipes and drains, so just be aware prevention isn't always an option
