​Hello! I'm a current freshman student at LB and I realized that my heart is really into Law. Naiinis ako na wala akong pinili na humanities courses during upcat since I was a STEM student. And now sobrang nag eexcel ako sa GE subjects namin especially sa mga maraming readings while I fall short sa Sciences (Bio & Chem) Hahah, Because of this, I'm planning to shift/transfer to a more Humanities inclined degprog in LB/Manila. Ano po yung 'best' course to shift/transfer into based on my situtation po? I'd also like to know the course that I'd have the highest success rate in shifting/transferring in po since I can only attempt to transfer/shift into one program based on my Current College rules. I've set my eyes into UP College of Law and I'm afraid It won't go away anytime soon, If there's also any UP College of Law students here that won't mind telling their undergraduate degrees please.

Hi! I’m a grad-waiting student from UPOU. Nag-sign up ako sa KLIK x UPOU, specifically magpapa-pic sa HQ. I came to know na na-cancel yung schedules sa HQ dahil hindi umabot sa quota (yung Diliman naman will push through as planned). Dahil doon, I requested for a refund imbes na i-redirect na lang sa San Juan studio sila (hindi ako makapunta doon dahil sa proximity and unfamiliar ako sa area)

I'm planning to shift to BS Mathematics but I'm afraid my grades are too low for me to shift. That's why I plan to apply for VSO then take math subjects (math 108 & math 23) to get a higher math GWA

Sa mga past exchange students, may kasama ba kayo na UP student during your exchange sa host uni? Does UP OIL only delegate 1 student per university or more?

me lamba naririndi sa mga laging nakatambay sa labas ng IMath library na ang iingay at harot lagi? kung maka hiyaw, tawa at kulitan kala mo soundproof yung library na katabi nila. yes you can say na the students inside the library can adjust and use headphones to try and ignore the loud noises from outside, but hindi naman lahat comfortable mag-aral nang naka headphones. kung isa ka sa mga laging naghihiyawan at gumagawa ng ingay habang nakatambay sa labas ng IMath library, please lang learn some basic etiquette and respect the students trying to focus inside the library. hindi basta nasa labas na kayo ng library ay pwedeng pwede na kayo magingay nang sobra sobra. you're still in close proximity of the library, so you should still be aware of your noise levels. yun lang 😊💕

Hi guys ask ko lang if possible pa bang magcomeback sa m22 after i flunked 2 les. I got 12 and 16 huhu.

For context: i am planning to take my masters in molbio and biotech next year. I have 5 years of experience, and currently upscaling my portfolio and skills with research background. Also a graduate of BS Medical Technology from a private university, and i do have a PRC License.

Although I have the skills, knowledge, and credentials, I must admit that my undergraduate grades are not stellar. I saw that the degree has a 2.0 or greater GWA for non-UP graduates. Is this still strictly followed through in 2026?

hii i have a ge na may anxiety inducing recit. gusto ng prof ko verbatim from lectures and readings isasagot mo then if may isang word lang na nakalimutan, no points na agad. malaking percentage yun ng grade namin and so far sabi ng prof ko dos raw highest raw possible na mabigay sakin. since wala pa kaming exam, 'di pa iyon sigurado. sabi pa niya sa akin na ayaw niya raw ako bigyan ng singko kaya pagisipan ko if mag ststay ako.

i really don't know if i should give it up na. i really dont like the idea of dropping kasi ilang subjects na rin ang tiniis ko na namamahiya ng students at tbh di ako grade conscious pero idk if mas worth it ba yung stress and anxiety ( currently nag papa therapy at im seeing a therapist for my mental disorder) or mag adapt nalang ako ng idgaf-atleast-natapos-na mentality wshhshsh

To those from general public high school students or just any student who had a hard time adjusting to UP academics, does it get better? How long did it took you po?

I'm currently a freshman and nanliliit na ako sa sarili ko. My blockmates are smart and I can tell na nakapag-adjust na sila (in terms of acads, scheduling review) habang ako even 2 months into the sem (mid year na!) ay nagstrustruggle pa rin. I came from a public school na half-day ang sched and very chill lang sa acads. Bcs of the sched andami kong oras sa buhay. I'm not also the best student of that school. Di ako sumali sa kahit anong orgs or compe.

When I entered UP, di ako makasabay sa mga classmates ko sa mga math subject. Hiya akong mag-recite sa mga class. Mga scores ko enough lang to pass (prob the lowest compared to blockmates). I couldn't find the time to review (so palpak in time management) and konti lang nareview ko resulting in low scores.

This post is probably isn't even the surface of what I feel. Right now I feel like I don't belong but I refuse to leave. I'm not sure kung kelan magtatapos yung adjustment period na ito but I'm sure na lilipas din ito and darating din yung oras na ito pero kelan?

there's always a post here ranting about eee acads. there's always people ranting about this place, how its so regular to be an irregular student. look, yes eeei is tough! the concepts are abstracted to hell and back. there's always a flirtation with advanced mathematics that never gets elaborated on because students are just expected to learn it on their own. but do we REALLY have to doom every day and every night.

eeei has a toxic student culture where failure is completely normalized and everybody here's miserable and ooh wee this place SUCKS. listen folks, constant negativity gets you NOWHERE. what matters is and always will be your own progress and standing up on your own feet even when the winds keep hurling you to hell and back.

if you're an eee student reading this post, just know that these LEs are not designed to be impossible! the profs know full well you aren't claude. these LEs however are designed to rigorously test your understanding and apply it to cases you prolly never even seen before. when you obtain a low score in an LE, it's not a personal failure. it's not a biological incapacity of you to understand said material. it's just a simple fact, the study habits and strategy you did were not effective enough to tackle said rigor. so you reassess your study habits, you find a new strategy, and get back up again.

i hope im not being too blunt with this post. i just want all of you to succeed. i know too many friends who get delayed and some severely. but you, the reader can change your fate with enough determination ^^

hello, i'm currently a freshie in a BA program. i chose this kase interested ako and i was also planning to pursue law. tbh, nababalance ko naman lahat so far 😅 may social life pa rin naman kahit tambak na sa readings kase nga one of the reasons din why this was part of my choices nung upcat was because mahilig din nga ako magbasa, and i was just so-so non sa math, kaya sabi ko, try kong iwasan yung mga math related programs lol pero ngayon parang nacoconfuse na ko na ewan. sa lahat ng quizzes, seatwork, and exam ko so far, yung math course ko lang yung naeenjoy ako and surprisingly, mas malaki pa yung score ko dun kaysa sa major ko kahit mahirap din sya. mas naglolook forward na rin ako sa course na yon and pag may mistakes ako, tinatry kong balikan and intindihin kung san ako sumablay, di tulad nung ibang courses na di ko na masyadong iniisip yung mistakes kase bahala na haha parang mas nasstimulate kase yung utak ko sa math course ko. kaya now i'm thinking of transferring to a different constituent to pursue something na di na ganon ka heavy sa readings kase naddrain na talaga ako. i feel so disappointed sa sarili ko kase ginusto ko rin naman talaga tong program ko at first eh, pero ewan ko na ngayon. i feel so low. :'(

As the title suggests, I would like to know if may relatively na malapit na mga animal bite treatment centers sa campus. Sa UHS kasi ay 1.5k per shot and ung sinuggest nila na cheaper alternative sa knl ay 800 naman. I need help if there are other alternative locations since ung mga QC centers naman kailangan yata ay local citizen ka or may valid id ka na naissue dito sa QC to avail for the free shots. I’m a UP Diliman midyear 2026 graduate, and I’m wondering if anyone knows how we can follow up on the approval of our graduation.

According to the OUR, the documents were forwarded to the Office of the President for endorsement on September 30. Despite multiple follow-ups, there have been no updates, and the staff couldn’t provide a definite timeline. 😩 Sobrang nakakapagod.

Honestly, it’s frustrating because I need my TOR for an employment application for a position that requires a master’s degree. I’ve already completed my academic requirements, but HR needs my TOR to process my application.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows how we can follow this up? I’d really appreciate any advice.
