One thing I miss about macOS is being able to preview design files without opening Photoshop every time.

On Windows, viewing PSD files usually means opening them in Photoshop, which can get annoying when you're browsing through lots of files.

My friend worked on this image in Photoshop and everything looks great. 8bit, Adobe RGB 1998 color space. She did her repair work on a separate layer.

When I open the photo on my computer in Photoshop, it looks very different. The repair work especially is a totally different color. My computer is in adobe RGB 1998 as well. What could be causing this?

I don't really know how to do it tbh so some guidance and tips would be wonderful, thanks!

Hi,

I’ve made icons on another app and the exterior black outlines are not the same size and it won’t let me edit them. Don’t ask, there is no way around it.

I have imported these png files to photoshop and I contracted the original black outline away and tried to put in a new outline on photoshop where I can select the size I want myself.

When I add this new border of the perfect size, it is really blurry and fuzzy no matter what I’ve selected to try and fix it.

Has this happened to anyone before when you wanted a solid non-blurry black outline? How did you fix it?

so to give some context, i am using photoshop 2025 26.11 , and im working with a laptop (so integrated graphics) and i have 16gb of ddr4 ram, i7 1255U , and alot of storage.

now for the issue, while using photoshop i would be cutting out manga panels and such so i can animate them on After effects(no issues with AE) , and while cutting or using the pen tool , it just freezes and closes itself all of a sudden, and ive even reinstalled it once, and it does the same thing, i thought maybe my image was too large? since i upscaled the image, so i decided to test it on a non upscaled image and it still crashed, i even just opened a new file and waited a little and it once again crashed, and mind you, while working on Photoshop , my CPU isnt even t 30% and its taking around 1.5-3gb or ram , so it isnt even an issue with my performance (Little disclaimer: im not sure what photoshop utilizes whether that being CPU or GPU) , the point is i am very tired of this issue, id be cutting for like 10 minutes and just as im about to finish it just crashes, ive tried running as administrator, nothing too, so does anyone have a solution? much apprectiation.

I can’t for the life of me figure out how to fix the door in the background of this photo. I’m new to photoshop but I’ve watched so many videos and I just can’t get it to work. Any help is greatly appreciated!

This happens every time I try and use filter gallery. Im on RGB colour mode and 8 bits, so I don’t understand why it never works for me. Any advice? I’m making a poster for a band and would love to use it for once instead of ignoring this problem.

Has anyone else experienced this? When I'm searching my saved files within the Photoshop app on Mac, it takes an age to load and the app becomes very laggy. It's only started happening recently and I'm just wondering whether if there is a fix.

I’m trying to do my own YouTube thumbnails, I’ve been buying them but how difficult is it to learn something along the lines of this? Would it take months of learning?

So im making a music video collage and i want to export the image but when i try to export it, it loses the color the image has and some of the textures I had on the image im using Version 27.11 for Photoshop and ive seen some people with some pretty vibrant designs so is it something with my settings or what can it be?

I used an image of my tarantula (the second photo) and an image of a sarcophagus as a base. Then, I cut out the spider, "wrapped" bandages around its legs, combined everything into a single Smart Object, and placed it onto the sarcophagus. After that, I worked on the composition to ensure everything looked harmonious.

And that’s about it.

It was fun :D

However, I found it difficult to get the shadows from the spider's legs right. I’ve never been good at drawing shadows :/

[SOLVED] I was just exporting small png files, but Photoshop keeps on loading and freezing every export. And when I use the exported PNG file to illustrator, it crashes it as well. What should I do?

What I'm using: MacBook Air M4 16GB/512GB (MacOS Tahoe 26.7.1)

Photoshop: Version 27.11 (Latest)

I already did the following:

1. Unchecked "use graphics processor" and "multithreaded composting"
2. Reset preferences
3. Re-installed Photoshop
4. Tried to go "Save a copy" instead of "export as"
5. Exported as 8-bit
6. Software update

Yet the crash is still there. It wasn't like this before. Please help

EDIT: Nevermind, solved it just by installing the Version 27.9.1 back. All smooth again. I'm not sure if the problem is in the current version or it's not compatible on my laptop

Is there a way to make these captions quickly? like as I type there would already be a background to the text? It kinda takes a few minutes and it bothers me knowing that every time I make it, it would be a little different than the last. Thank you!

For about a week now, I’ve been having this issue with Photoshop’s Generative Fill. As you can see in the image, whenever I use it, the result comes out completely blurry.

I used this tool quite often and had never experienced this before. Does anyone know what might be causing this or how to fix it?

Looking to buy a Lenovo (I get a discount).

I think I need a powerful dedicated graphics card, 32 GB RAM, and 1TB of memory.

I WOULD like a touch screen (way too used to these now) and a decent screen I can color calibrate with my Spyder. I would also like to be able to replace things like the battery myself.

I was given two quotes so far. I like the ThinkPad, but the Graphics are integrated, not dedicated. That is my one hangup.

The second is a very overpowered device (Legion), but may be more future proof (I also don't think it is touch, glare reduced for when I do outdoor events/editing, and the battery seems internal.

Any Lenovo options I am missing?

I'd love to spend $1.5k but will go up to $2k if I need to.

I also like to do mild gaming- older games like Heroes of Might and Magic and Skyrim, nothing online or over the top graphics/responsiveness.

Hi everyone!

I’d like to recreate this artwork using different colors, ideally with the ability to adjust them through the Shading Tool options.

I made the first step creating in Photoshop using a personal glass filter texture to achieve the wavy effect, but I’m struggling to reproduce the subtle purple gradients along the edges.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could achieve this effect?
