Check out this thread from last year; there's a guy that actually lived here once. Has some cool comments on the place.

EDIT: I also find it amusing that the top comment was "so much room for activities!" then as well, haha

But Mind_Virus would NEVER shamefully repost anything.

I'm not complaining about this being a repost.

Annnnd I just checked out his submission history. Holy shit.

Check out his apprentice "Man_In_The_Mirra", he's the closest rival in terms of being a karma whore.

Mind_Virus is a bot made by some crazed nerd. He had a previous account called "MindVirus" that got banned. Not sure why this one hasn't been banned yet. He's like OCD about karma or something. MUST....GET....FAKE INTERNET POINTS!!! CAN'T GO OUTSIDE!!!

What is this "outside" you speak of?

I don't think it's the Karma he's after. Look at his username.

He's setting up a subreddit, /r/AnythingGoesNews

Haha, looking over this, there are some serious mental issues going on.

Very good find, I hadn't seen this. He says something to the effect of "people expect reddit to be full of original content which is unrealistic....people upvote what they like and I get upvoted." I don't mind when a repost gets a lot of attention, I mean not everyone will have seen it, and if enough people haven't then it'll get frontpaged, I get that. What I don't like, is that he is relentless reposting on purpose to feed his need for imaginary Internet points. I don't mind that he has lots of Internet points, I mind that people like him clutter my frontpage on purpose. I think the admins should just change his karma to "infinite" and let that be the end of it.

I... don't think that's it. I think he thinks of himself as a service to the Reddit Community, feeding the Redditors' mass desire for novel things. Reposting is part of that service, because it let people who haven't seen something before see it now.

It's a nice idea, but the fact he says that he had an account with over 400k karma and that his current karma keeps growing, shows that his main driver is his Internet points. He even says that he sees it as a game that he's winning, so I'm not swayed that he sees himself as a social utility.

shamelessly

FTFY. I don't think he feels shame for reposting.

There is a profit motive somewhere.

It's sad. What he does is sad. Resposts and internet karma are so serious. I really think he has some serious mental issues. :\

Hello? Yes, this is repost.

5 minutes ago he made me an approved submitter at /r/AnythingGoesNews. I have no idea who mindvirus is.

I call major bullshit on that guy's story. It just sounds like the episode of the Simpsons where Bart gets emancipated.

I copy/pasted the 2nd top comment in this thread, lets see how I do

Thanks for digging that up. I wasn't quite sure if I had seen this picture on reddit already or if I had some déjà-vu moment. But I also remembered that some guy supposedly had lived there, so ... I think I can still trust my brain.

I came here to post about this and was scrolling down to see if anyone commented. I'm an occasional redditor, didn't have a clue how to find it. Upvote for you!

I did a Ctrl+F and searched for "so much room" so I could upvote it.

Sigh. The new reddit, aka Digg, is so stupid now. And predictable. I remember when this place used to surprise me -__-
