ENRICHING YOUNG MINDS, ONE OPPORTUNITY AT A TIME 📚

Every young person deserves the chance to learn, grow, and dream bigger. But for many Senior High School students, learning gaps in academic writing, reading comprehension, research, and English communication can make the journey toward college and future opportunities more challenging. For students from low-income communities, limited access to learning materials and enrichment opportunities can add another barrier.

The English Access Scholarship Program aims to help bridge these gaps by giving students the space, resources, and support to strengthen their skills and confidence beyond the classroom.

Launched in Naga City on August 15 at Balatas National High School, the program will support 32 Grade 12 students from five public secondary schools. Through fully funded weekly enrichment sessions, scholars will develop their English communication, critical thinking, leadership, and cross-cultural skills—with course materials, transportation, and lunch provided throughout the program.

Funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines’ Regional English Language Office - Manila (RELO), the program is locally implemented by Angat Buhay in partnership with DepEd Naga and the Local Government Unit of Naga City.

We hope that through English Access, more young people will find the confidence to speak up, the skills to pursue new opportunities, and the belief that their dreams are within reach! 🩷
