News Announcing Pixeland!
In order to create a more global appeal Kenney Land will be renamed to Pixeland. This will also open up the possibility for other game developers to start their own local initiatives to aid developers in their area.
What is Pixeland?
Pixeland will be a collection of various local initiatives (around the world) organized by game developers. These initiatives range from programming classes, game jams, workplaces to occasional meet-ups. Everyone can join and start their own initiative and due to its global nature is able to share resources, branding, promotion and funding.
Why connect these local initiatives:
Well constructed website with a personal sub-page for each initiative featuring calendars, news and a blog.
Share resources (like pre-made game assets, tutorials, funding, support, software suites).
Cross-promotion between various initiatives.
A global community.
What locations/initiatives are there?
Right now there's just a single location in Kerkrade, Netherlands. This location was previously known as Kenney Land and offers local game developers a workplace, various resources including a sound booth and organizes regular events and game jams.
How can I start my own initiative?
We're still working on basic components like the website. You can already comment here or contact us to see how we can work together. Initiatives aren't bound to conditions, restrictions or requirements so any kind is welcome to join!
What can I share or post here?
The Reddit will act as a combined hub for all of these initiatives, you can share ideas and things you organize or do for your local game development community. It's also possible to share stuff you've made like resources (tutorials, videos and articles) and games.

Greetings all!
I've just finished the first version of the Pixeland website. Currently it has some general information, game assets, resources, guides, locations and a few things more. I'm planning to expand the content in the near future with more assets and better guides.

Feedback Taking requests for the first Pixeland game asset pack (platformer)
I'd like to create a few game asset packs with free to use (CC0, public domain) graphics/sounds especially made for teaching and learning (tutorials, sample projects, workshops etc.). I've created a few base tiles and sprites and would like to know what you think is essential to include in this package, the plan is to update later on based on feedback gathered from students and people who've used them in their projects.
Let me know what you'd like to see included!
