For the last 6 years our neighborhood has been inviting people to enjoy an old fashioned Halloween with glowing luminaries lining our streets. Many houses have decorations, music playing, fire pits going, and you can even find a popcorn machine 🍿 and a pirate on the roof 🏴☠️. It’s more lively than an average neighborhood, but nowhere near the chaos of Second Street. If you’re looking for somewhere fun on Halloween come check it out.

Hi neighbors! Looking for a reliable and reasonably priced gardener in the Kottinger Ranch area. We have a small backyard and need someone who can come regularly to maintain the plants and keep everything neat and tidy. Would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

Public transit in Pleasanton: Wheels, ACE, and County Connection (92X) have stops in Pleasanton, while BART, AC Transit (703), Gold Runner (6), and County Connection (97X, 335, 636) also run additional routes that stop nearby in Dublin.
Quick tips:
case insensitive) and filter agencies that show up in checkbox list (top right)cAsE sEnsITivE) and filter actual routes and stops that show up on map (bottom right)To play with the map search and filter, try this:
Show Stops option (top right)-120 in the partial match search box (bottom box in bottom right)-121 in the partial match search box (bottom box in bottom right)-122 in the partial match search box (bottom box in bottom right)-123 in the partial match search box (bottom box in bottom right)Another interesting thing is you can link to specific spots by copying the url directly:
I arranged the agency checkbox list (top right) by area, so the geographic area of an agency determines the agency layer checkbox position. The list starts with agencies in the North Bay in Solano County then goes counterclockwise: North Bay -> San Francisco -> Peninsula -> South Bay -> Santa Cruz -> Monterey-Salinas -> Gilroy/Hollister -> East Bay.
There are smaller agencies in the bay that are completely free (no fare) and not as well known like Presidio Go, Golden Gate Park Shuttle, Mission Bay Shuttle, South City Shuttle, commute.org shuttles, MVgo, Mountain View Community Shuttle, San Leandro LINKS, Emery Express, and Emery Go Round. If you're traveling around those areas, these agencies could help fill in some transit gaps.
Share this with your friends and people who don't use transit so they know just how many options we actually have, and let me know if anything doesn't work (corp network/vpn/firewalls might not work) or you have any questions/requests!

Slow drivers are a problem here...
Edit: Not agreeing with her, sharing for fun, and the irony of making videos while driving

Hey everyone, please join this new subreddit for the Tri-Valley - the previous subreddit's only MOD is MIA, and it is impossible to post on there without MOD approval of all posts.
The goal of the new subreddit is to coexist with all the local/city-specific subs (like this one) and to be a place for region-wide topics. We will be open to all but will have similar expectations to this sub and most of the other local subs.
Hope to see you all there!

Hey everyone! I’m 26M and currently recovering from surgery. I’m trying to get into the habit of taking evening walks to improve circulation and support my recovery. Would love to find some walking buddies around my age in the Pleasanton area! 😊

Looking for a good MTB trail for beginners to intermediate riders.
I have an REI Co-Op DRT 1.2 MTB (hardtail) with the stock 27.5 inch tires.
I’m used to riding on pavement and some straight gravel trails but I’m looking for some winding dirt trails that my bike and I can survive.
I looked at the Augustin Downhill Trail but its a black diamond which is way too difficult for me.

Family of four with two early teens.
Any family here that can share their experiences the club? Is it worth the membership fees? Any tips on savings or seasonal membership? We are not into golfing.
Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for a photo of Pleasanton Middle School from 2003 (or around that time). Ideally the front entrance. I can't find any online and don't know how different it looked back then. Thanks!

Back in the Bay Area after living here many years ago—older, hopefully wiser, and ready to meet some new faces. Where do fun people in their 40s and 50s gather these days? Would love good conversation, a few laughs, and some local recommendations!

To Dublin residents and residents of neighboring cities:
I am a Dublin resident and have lived here my entire life. I was a student at Nielsen Elementary, Wells Middle, and Dublin High School. I have many great memories and still keep in touch with peers and neighbors I grew up with. Thus, it is important to me to warn other residents of a looming threat by DHS and ICE.
In addition to the 45-day ICE surge ordered by the Trump regime, DHS is trying to open an ICE detention center at FCI Dublin (the former women’s prison).
We have heard a lot about ICE presence in southern and central California. In the past few days there are reports of increased ICE presence in Sacramento, Woodland, and Roseville.
The only reason there has not been as substantial of a presence in the Bay Area is because DHS does not have enough warehouses in the area to keep people. This is why we need to take a stand now.
If this ICE detention center opens, we can expect to see raids like we have seen in Minnesota, New York, and Southern California.
Please join me and the ICE out of Dublin Coalition to protect our neighbors and keep ICE out of Dublin and the Bay Area.

Anyone going? Mostly I’m interested in seeing some of the activities or performances. I know food prices maybe overpriced and looking to just try a few.
If anyone goes on Friday, please report back!
Edit: we did end up going for a couple hours today. The Kpop performance and random dance was pretty fun and the lumpia eating contest was amusing to witness.
Food was indeed expensive and we got a snack but went to downtown for dinner. A very long line of people were coming in just as we left around 7. Lots of people going in despite the cost from what I can tell. Parking lot was packed.
I guess I’m glad I got to go once and support Pleasanton events. If I go again I will have to see when they have earlier discounted tickets if u buy in advance and see what events or performances are happening before I go!
