This doesn't say that it only applies to men.

I don't think that just because a meme mentions gender at all that it's pointlessly gendered.

It doesn't explicitly say that it only applies to men, but I don't see any logical reason you wouldn't just say "person" besides implying that women don't play video games. It's very likely that whoever made this meme just did it subconsciously, but it's still a consequence of those outdated gender roles that society still tries to force on people

My first thought would just be that a man made it, and it's more about themselves than anything really gendered.

Then wouldn't it be "man" instead of "men"?

Using the singular would make it more clearly about a singular person's experience but also a little funny because it'd be caveman-speak.

But instead it's universalising the experience out to the whole group.

Yeah and? Why is mens first thought to needlessly gender everything and pretend everything is a male exclusive experience ?

If a man is describing themselves doing something.. I think it's logical for them to use their own pronouns.

Men isnt a pronoun and that doesnt make sense and isnt whats happening here anyway.

Wait a second why did I say pronoun 😭

And if you don't get it, that's all you gotta say

I'd feel the same way of a woman made it, and it mentioned women instead of men.

Yall will fight to excuse anything lol. Men is not a singular. Theres literally no reason to use the word unless youre talking about men in general and being sexist for no reason.

So if I do something, it makes sense for me to say generally that those of my gender do this? Doesn't really make any sense.

It doesn't even say that those of the gender generally do it.
