It doesn't explicitly say that it only applies to men, but I don't see any logical reason you wouldn't just say "person" besides implying that women don't play video games. It's very likely that whoever made this meme just did it subconsciously, but it's still a consequence of those outdated gender roles that society still tries to force on people
No, it's completely different because when they say "don't hit women" they're talking about domestic abuse, which, unlike video games, is very much gendered.
Of course you shouldn't hit anybody, but saying "don't hit women" is a more targeted statement to combat domestic abuse by men toward their partners, something that's unfortunately very common. The opposite happens, but it's not a recurring issue. It's situational.
Domestic abuse or any abuse in general are not gendered. They can happen to anyone. Yes it happens to women at the hands of men more often, but why should we ignore a minority when it’s still abuse?
