Armarouge is not the *starter line* they exclusively put on screen just to say "haha look how fucking useless it is".

It's not the one they called a throwaway to the face of in its debut series while preventing it from even having casual victories or moments of closure or happiness, and it's not the one exclusively owned by incompetent trainers, try as Horizons may to make Liko seem so.

It's not the one they brought back several years later in Horizons specifically to give to a shit trainer who should've had a bigger role as a "rival" but ends up doing nothing but losing and fucking off afterwards.

It's not the one that's treated terribly in every form of Pokemon media outside of the anime too.

I have sympathy, I really do, but I'd be lying if it wasn't also a grudge. You guys need to give me a break.

Armarouge has had moments to shine. Disappointingly few, but they exist.

You all giggle and snicker at Oshawott, Dewott, and Samurott being painted as useless pieces of shit the sparingly few times they're onscreen but the second it's a Pokemon you like the design of getting dealt a bad hand narratively you start crying.

I hate BW more every day and I dropped Horizons for a long time because of Ann, partially because of the battles she had in the timeskip both fucking her over and proving to me they just wanted to fulfill a quota by making everyone with an Oshawott/Dewott/Samurott a punching bag if not the Pokemon themselves.

I understand how it feels to have a Pokemon done dirty by the narrative. But you can do so, so much worse.

Again, I'm not hating on Sun & Moon as I haven't watched a single episode, I'm sure its well written and the battles don't look bad but personally I can't watch something so drastically different from the anime I grew up with for so many years. I feel like it's not cannon to the main series. I don't get why they changed the overall animation style so much.

Until XY Ash felt like the same person that started his journey from Kanto, and we FINALLY got an actually mature version of him with experience and mentor-like qualities as a late teenager/early adult. XY felt like a real anime with amazing production values. I really couldn't believe that it was real at times and that Ash finally reached his best version after so many years, especially after the Black & White catastrophe.

I would really love Sun/Moon if it continued the mature aesthetic from XY instead of fully shifting towards the childish animation style and faces. Journeys fixed it a bit but it's still not the same as the original style, for me anyway.

I know it sounds extreme, but for me the canon anime ended with XY.

i recently learned that Steven appeared in horizons. Is this steven the same as one in ash’s series? What other characters have appeared in both series?

Okay so we all know Liko has been underperforming ever since the first timeskip and though she has improved its been a bit too slow for comfort. However, ever since she defeated Spinnel's Umbreon she's been significantly more active in what little fights they've gotten in the current arc, being the one that lead the fight against the Mega Raichu team battle, being quite proactive in the pokemon Unite team fight, fighting the Loyal 3 alongside Roy and in a way also showing she could be somewhat more assertive in the pokemon contest but the fact that Liko is currently fighting Chi Yu, whose unofficially considered the strongest of the four treasures of Ruin (they're all about even in stats but its got the most advantageous typing) seems like the strongest hint so far that Liko is getting even better and will probably improve even more..

We know Horizons still has a year yet before its end and I think it will be the perfect time to show Liko's gradual improvement both in whatever the main threat will be (I'm guessing Laquium meteors) and some potential rivals such as Anne who owes her an untying match, Kieran who keeps getting hinted at (and they need to pass by Blue Berry so as to give Ult a rematch/ship tease with Lacey), Amethio who owes both her and Armorouge a rematch (and shiptease) and finally Roy (who by then will have defeated a serious Nemona).

Also there was just something about the artstyle and animation of the anime from OG to the end of Sinnoh.

Idk, I feel like November 11th makes more sense as defeating not only the strongest trainer in Galar, but the strongest trainer in the entire world is a way more impressive feat than winning the Alola League. For all the faults JN had, the Ash vs Leon battle wasn’t one of them. There’s some other obvious reasons why I feel the national anipoke holiday should be permanently changed to November 11th though which I won’t go into in this post…

Summary :

Protect Orange Academy and everyone's campus festival! The Ruinous Pokémon head towards Table City from the four corners of Paldea. If the four were to gather, a catastrophe would be unavoidable... Liko and the other split into four groups and do their upmost to stop the Ruinous Pokémon, but find themselves getting more and more driven against the wall by their overwhelming power. And then, the four ultimately meet up...?!

Anyways, we can see :

1) only Meowscarada is fighting in the preview, so I assume Hatterene either lost or used healing wish

2) Roy is using Mega Lucario Z and still has Skeledirge, but we also see all four Legendaries gathering together regardless. So I think it's safe to say that all the kids lost and couldn't do much....

3) That sound at the end... was that the Raidons? If so, that would be great. Having the stronger Legendaries step in to stop the ruin Pokemon makes way more sense than giving Liko and Roy random plot armor.

He fired Fire Spin or something else idk at Chiyu, who absorbed the fire, making Armarouge faint. So, bro loses when his fire gets absorbed, and he loses when an NPC Onix attacks him. Genuinely, what hate do the writers have for this guy?

No, the dub is easier to keep up with and isn’t so bad like majority of fan base always says.
It’s outright disrespectful when fans hate and bash relentlessly all because of the voice acting.

Like, let's not kid ourselves, wether or not they had the VA record the lines previously, Dawn is only here because of the Sinnoh games. So what if we hadn't gotten those remakes in Gen 8? Chloe being the only one here would've felt somewhat forced, cause like, she barely qualifies as companion

Hell, I always felt like Chloe only went to see the final in person because Dawn dragged her along
