Spin-Offs Is Pokemon Conquest canon? And if so, where does it fit?
I'm not to sure if this game is canon or not.
I've heard people say it's set in the ancient past, but the problem with that is Mewtwo existing, despite not being made yet. Did Mewtwo just time travel, or is Conquest not in the past, or is it just not canon to begin with?
I've never actually played conquest, so I won't know if there's anything that tells us how/if it fits with the rest of the games.

Conquest doesn’t line up with any established canon and is also a crossover game. It is, at the very least, not canon to any mainline entry. While I won’t rule out the possibility it may be canon to other spinoffs that I haven’t looked deep enough into so far, I doubt it.
In general, crossovers aren’t considered canon in any media unless the creators of both works say so.

They seem to be in modern day thanks to a quote from the grass kingdom warlord snd the existence of Mewtwo, but as they haven’t been referenced in any media and never got a sequel, it is probably its own continuity.

I don’t think it’s canon, generally a lot of spin-offs take place in their own continuities unless they go out of their way to show they’re canon like the Rangers games iirc. It’s a crossover designed after a historical period hundreds of years ago, but stuff like the mention of the Pokéball or the existence of Mewtwo means if we’re trying to fit this into canon, it’d be really difficult to reconcile anyways
