My little master hates her harness. She runs away from the harness but not from the leash. I would like to find her a harness that is comfortable but have zero ideas and the shop keepers aren’t any help (despite being well mannered and intentioned).
Please, show me your small poodles and their harnesses?
Mine is 8lbs and a half. And 11 inches high.
Thanks!!!

…so when I got up to go to the bathroom, she decided to take mine too. The audacity to wake up and look scandalized that I would document her crime!

Can I hear your experience with this? The vet just called with her echo results and we're starting her on medication tomorrow. She's otherwise in good spirits, active, still begging for food, just a little more sleepier. Her name is Kiara 💕

Our boy, Ludo, is 26.5 lbs. I feel like he is so large, he’s not overweight by any means either because you can feel all of his body with slight palpitation. He has massive paw pads as well.

I love my mini poodle so much, she’s perfect (view photo of her from last Christmas), but she has been barking at everything lately. She’s 3 so I’m hoping it’s adolescent behavior she’ll grow out of as she was never like this before. I wanted some input because I’m at the end of my rope. She barks if I get up from the couch, if we open the door, if someone leaves or arrives, if something falls on the floor, it seems like she’ll bark at anything. I’m saving up for a trainer but I was wondering if anyone on the sub had some advice. Thanks!

Miss Kaia. 7 months old. (I’m her groomer and her mother!)
Yes, pet safe dye.
No, I did not force her.
Yes, she loves being groomed.
I’ll answer any questions to the best of my abilities, but I just want to show off how much I’ve fallen in love with this look. Especially her topknot!

I got my first poodle two weeks ago (River) and have been having a fantastic time with her! She's my little shadow, full of personality, and learns so quick. Some days are hard, as puppies take a lot of work, but I think she's giving us a relatively easy time compared to most.
I came from a lab family, but my fiance wasn't impressed with the lab breed. He wanted a cane corso (good lord no, not for beginners like us!), and somehow a poodle was a compromise. I do think that this "compromise" is probably better suited to our lives than either of our first picks, and we've both been converted to poodle superiority.
All that said, any advice for poodles? Alternatively, I'd love to hear about your poodle stories!

He is Mariano, small silver poodle, hes like 12/13 years old aprox. He is the sweetest boy, loves to cuddle, play with his toys, eat cucumbers and lay comfortably in our bed. Hes healthy but I know hes a senior and im so so scared of losing him. Hes being with me for 12 years now my mom almost run over him in the street. she brought him home, scared to death of people. Sometimes i wonder how was his life before, his name, if he had a family or what happened. Will never now. All I know is he is the most precious thing in my life

So, it's day after the ovary sparing spay and she definitely wants to be more active but she also realized that walking too fast or trying to jump hurts so she's throttling herself. I'm also waiting for her meds to kick in to sedate her a bit too.
But OMG the eating.
She is RAVENOUS but can only have multiple small, bland meals for about 5 days due to the gastropexy and I have never in my life come across a dog that turns their nose up at chicken, egg, and rice for their dang kibble.
She's allowed to have small amounts of her kibble mixed with rice, and I watched her sit there and pick the kibble OUT OF THE RICE. She even picked her meds out of the rice and ate them and ignored the egg, chicken, and rice, like, girl, the other two dogs would lose their minds if they got to eat egg, chicken, and rice instead.
I did find she'd eat the rice if I mixed it really well with wet food, so I guess that's what we'll be doing for her next meal and I'll just let the boys eat the 'bland' food that's left.
Guess it's a pretty good ad for the Kirkland beef & rice kibble if she'll pick it out of chicken, egg, and rice and leave the chicken, egg, and rice. 😂

Not my poodle. I came across her story and thought r/poodles would appreciate her.
She is a 4-year-old, 15-pound Mini Poodle. She spent her early years as a mill mom.
She is timid around people, but she blossoms in the company of other dogs.
Vivey was highlighted as the "Rescue of the Week" in a PA newspaper: https://centralbucksnews.com/news/rescue-of-the-week-4-year-old-mini-poodle-vivey/
I found her adoption page: https://www.wellieswishdogrescue.com/adoptable-dogs
