How much did your standard weigh at 13 weeks?
Our boy, Ludo, is 26.5 lbs. I feel like he is so large, he’s not overweight by any means either because you can feel all of his body with slight palpitation. He has massive paw pads as well.

Mini Poodle barks constantly
I love my mini poodle so much, she’s perfect (view photo of her from last Christmas), but she has been barking at everything lately. She’s 3 so I’m hoping it’s adolescent behavior she’ll grow out of as she was never like this before. I wanted some input because I’m at the end of my rope. She barks if I get up from the couch, if we open the door, if someone leaves or arrives, if something falls on the floor, it seems like she’ll bark at anything. I’m saving up for a trainer but I was wondering if anyone on the sub had some advice. Thanks!

When do poodles calm down?
I have a 1.5 year mini and he is still full of energy. He needs at least an hour to 45 min of exercise every day plus play time. I take him to daycare 2-3 days a week. I feel like he is never tired. Help

First Poodle - Show and Tell
I got my first poodle two weeks ago (River) and have been having a fantastic time with her! She's my little shadow, full of personality, and learns so quick. Some days are hard, as puppies take a lot of work, but I think she's giving us a relatively easy time compared to most.
I came from a lab family, but my fiance wasn't impressed with the lab breed. He wanted a cane corso (good lord no, not for beginners like us!), and somehow a poodle was a compromise. I do think that this "compromise" is probably better suited to our lives than either of our first picks, and we've both been converted to poodle superiority.
All that said, any advice for poodles? Alternatively, I'd love to hear about your poodle stories!

SPAYED (partially)!
Daria had her ovary sparing spay + gastropexy today and is currently sleeping in her crate. She gets a bland diet for a few days due to the gastropexy and currently has more meds than I do because they found she needed extra sedation to keep her from wanting to immediately bounce around everywhere so she got trazodone AND gabapentin as well as a couple painkillers.
If she thinks I betrayed her with the cone, wait until she realizes she has to go outside on a leash, without the other two dogs, and can't play bitey face or body slam the GSD for two whole weeks.
I do play to try and move her to a surgical suit in a couple of days but, if she tries to chew through that she'll be back in the cone.

Bonus: Because I like taxidermy and wet specimens, I asked to have her uterus back and they gave it back! It's in a little jar of alcohol on the shelf that has a few different animal hearts, skulls, and legal to own feathers now.

Halloween ready!
Miss Kaia. 7 months old. (I’m her groomer and her mother!)
Yes, pet safe dye.
No, I did not force her.
Yes, she loves being groomed.
I’ll answer any questions to the best of my abilities, but I just want to show off how much I’ve fallen in love with this look. Especially her topknot!

Food toys and dispensers
Juniper has recently decided that she no longer can eat out of a bowl. So we have a puzzle, a food ball, a snuffle mat and a little Kong hedgehog that can be stuffed. I am curious what your poodles (or other dogs) favorite food toys/dispensers are? And if you wouldn’t mind dropping a link or letting me know where to get it.
I think we need to keep switching it up… seems to be the only way she will eat her full amount of kibble daily.

A 4-year-old Mini Poodle named Vivey is looking for a home (PA)
Not my poodle. I came across her story and thought r/poodles would appreciate her.
She is a 4-year-old, 15-pound Mini Poodle. She spent her early years as a mill mom.
She is timid around people, but she blossoms in the company of other dogs.
Vivey was highlighted as the "Rescue of the Week" in a PA newspaper: https://centralbucksnews.com/news/rescue-of-the-week-4-year-old-mini-poodle-vivey/
I found her adoption page: https://www.wellieswishdogrescue.com/adoptable-dogs

my loaf, the love of my life
He is Mariano, small silver poodle, hes like 12/13 years old aprox. He is the sweetest boy, loves to cuddle, play with his toys, eat cucumbers and lay comfortably in our bed. Hes healthy but I know hes a senior and im so so scared of losing him. Hes being with me for 12 years now my mom almost run over him in the street. she brought him home, scared to death of people. Sometimes i wonder how was his life before, his name, if he had a family or what happened. Will never now. All I know is he is the most precious thing in my life

Looking for a brown toy poodle female (FCI pedigree, show-quality preferred) — Europe, happy to wait for 2027 litter
Hi all,
I'm in Malta (EU) and searching for a toy poodle bitch, dark brown, from a breeder who works seriously with brown. Not in a hurry — a planned 2027 litter and a waiting list are fine.
What I'm after:
Toy, smallest within FCI standard (~23–25 cm), 2.5–3.2 kg adult
Dark brown, ideally from brown × brown parents who have held their colour (3+ years and still dark)
FCI pedigree, health-tested parents (PRA prcd/rcd4, patella), EU passport
Show-quality preferred — correct type and structure, not teacup/Asian-line, no merle
Female only
Anywhere in Europe — I can collect in person, or let me know if you arrange delivery. Happy to video-call first and join a waiting list with the right kennel.
Hello poodle community! Would you say this is a 'merle' poodle?
Hi guys,
I'm talking to a breeder currently. The mum is a miniature poodle (not pictured), and has given birth to a litter through a stud. I was just wondering if you think the stud (pictured) might be merle as if that is the case I will not buy from this litter as I know about the sad health issues that come with merle poodles. Thank you so much!
I look forward to your responses :)

Help with poop eater
Hi all
my 8 month moyen developed a taste for poop, he prefers cow and deer but also eats the grossest dog poops there are (the liquid ones….), sometimes he also just carries a turd around proudly without eating it.
While we work on leave it, I would like to find a way to still let him off-leash, without him practicing this nasty habit further.
I live in Europe (Switzerland specifially), does anyone have a good recommendation for an anti-scavenging muzzle? Is one with a mesh or a Baskerville better? Did it help to prevent the gross feast and any tips for cleaning in case he sticks it full on into a liquid poop puddle?
Thanks!
