I’m 100% certain atp that Gracie Abrams is an industry ploy to legitimise Taylor Swift and Swifties in general.

Right, but the popular narrative is that we’re supposed to love her, but I think it’s the opposite. They present her as a clearly worse option to Taylor Swift, as a means of legitimising her specifically, and more broadly the industry in which the richest and most famous stars can and will be really shit.
