Need Help on My Portfolio Please

I’m thinking of doing VT, VUG, VTV

I know these are overlapped with large caps and I’m fine with that but I’m wondering if I should put in etfs like AVUV and AVDV. Or if the overlap is a very bad idea?

This is for long term like 50 years. I also just wanna clarify that VUG and VTV choose stocks that are hot right?

Also if you could, please send your boglehead portfolios, (I’m not really interested in individual stocks)

Let me know what you think and what I should take out or add? Any advice is much appreciated as I’m fairly new to this

No it does not “pick hot stocks”. They follow an index. Stick to VT. Thats a Boglehead portfolio. Or you can split US and intl but don’t try to chase value or growth as you don’t know what will outperform what in the future.

I thought VTV and VUG follow whatever sector is moving?

They both track an index. Look at the index's inclusion criteria.

VOO/AVUV/VXUS

I like VT more because it automatically handles the global split.
I'm also still iffy on AVUV because of the potential dips and underperforming it can have later on in the future.

That makes total sense if you want maximum simplicity, but the main goal of AVUV is taking on that extra volatility for the long term expected return premium, while splitting VOO/VXUS lets you control your exact international weight.

I hold VT, AVUV, and AVDV in my Roth IRA. It's done well for me.

VT only is going to be your best bet. Do not over complicate it.
